Insbesondere mangelt es an einer näheren Befassung mit der Frage, ob mit ihrer Einführung verfassungsrechtliche Grenzen überschritten werden. Dieser Befund ist den Beiträgen des vorliegenden Sammelbandes Anlass, sich der sexuellen Vielfalt als Gegenstand staatlicher Erziehung in der Schule zu widmen und aus dem Blickwinkel unterschiedlicher Disziplinen Grund und Rechtfertigung der schulischen Sexualpädagogik, die an sie zu stellenden Anforderungen sowie die ihr zu ziehenden pädagogischen und verfassungsrechtlichen Grenzen zu untersuchen. However, what is lacking in the public discussion is a general framework at state schools where this education approach fits in. This analysis of the current situation inspired the authors of the contributions to this anthology to deal with sexual diversity as part of state education in schools and to analyse cause and justification of sex education in schools, the demands made on it and also where to draw clear lines in terms of pedagogical justification and constitutional law from the perspective of different disciplines. The lives of the former child soldiers were shaped not just by their personal ordeals but also, crucially, by the responses of their families, peers, and broader communities. Betancourt's study provides unparalleled insight into the long-term psychological and developmental effects of family separation, war, and exposure to violence.
