Optional Filtering Based on Context
In earlier versions, the Smart Content pane displayed filtered assets/products based on compatibility with the selected object and assigned content types. The 4.9 update now also includes a "Filter By Context" option (on the Files Page and separately on the Products Page), that lets you disable this filtering behavior and allows you to see content that may not be strictly built to work with the selected object.

Synchronized Navigation and Filters
The new Sync Pages option helps you more easily navigate and alternate between products and files. When enabled in the Pane (Tab) Option Menu, Sync Pages attempts to synchronize category selection in one page with the corresponding category in the opposite page.

Viewing a Product's Contents
The Product Contents View has been redesigned to be more user-friendly. Functioning much like the Files and Products pages, the new Product Contents View now expands and collapses vertically in a familiar tree-like manner and consumes the whole page instead of a side scrolling list limited to a fraction of the space.

Filtering Products by Installed State
The Install State Filter Bar filters products displayed in the Results View a step further than the categories and sub-categories can on their own. This lets you view a product based on its status. Rather than search one by one through products, this option quickly filters products to show those that are installed, those that are have not been installed, those that need updating, and those that are currently in progress.

Sorting Products/Assets
Located directly beneath the Filter Bar, the Sorting Selector lets you sort assets or products using various attributes-such as Name, Product ID, Group ID, etc.-to make assets and products easier to find.

Assigning Products and Assets to Groups
Grouping helps you customize your content by letting you personalize the display of products and assets, which makes identification at glance even easier. Much like using a brightly colored marker or sticky notes, the Group feature marks assets and/or products in the Results View to help you visually group them using colors and shapes.

Render Engine Updates
Renderer engine updates include changes and bug fixes for both NVIDIA Iray and 3Delight render engines.

V-Ray Next, Update 2.1 (build 4.20.02) Official Release - Apr. 29, 2020:

Installation & Licensing
- The Chaos Group License Server is updated to version 5.4.0
Workflow Improvements
- The quality slider presets are updated. The quality of the rendered image is now consistent between all the engines (CPU, CUDA and RTX) and sampler types (Progressive and Bucket)
- The quality slider presets count is increased to six. The new preset labels are 'Low', 'Low+', 'Medium', 'Medium+', 'High' and 'High+'. All provide better quality than their older counterparts.
- The Maximum Subdivisions image sampler parameter is now visible at all times (for GPU and also in progressive rendering mode). The value used for GPU rendering is always double the CPU one to ensure consistent quality
- The Embree related optimization parameters are automatically hidden when the GPU engine is selected. They have no effect in this case
- The Aperture (F-Number) slider limit is removed. Values from 56 up to 985 will result in Defocus slider values between 0.1 and 0.001 to be displayed
- Introduced a confirmation window when deleting or purging assets. Using the Shift + Delete keyboard keys removes selected assets without confirmation
Other Changes & Bug Fixes
- V-Ray material modifications no longer flood the SketchUp's Undo stack
- Undoing the V-Ray scene activation no longer causes material duplicates to appear in the project
- Undoing material rename no longer causes material duplicates to appear in the project
- A number of other issues related to using the Undo in SketchUp are resolved
- Scene modification during progressive production rendering no longer restarts the process
- A number of issues with Section Planes and batch rendering are resolved
- All bitmap textures stored in the SketchUp model now use the Sharp Isotropic filtering type
- License error messages no longer appear twice
- The RTX render engine is now correctly listed in exported vrscene files
- Viewport camera changes introduced during animation rendering will no longer affect the results
- Animation property changes are no longer possible while the process is ongoing
- The geometry compilation stage no longer increases gradually in time with every animation frame
- Copying or importing proxy mesh components with direct material assignment now correctly copies over the materials
- Resetting render settings of complex scenes no longer takes extra time

The Allegro Sigrity development team has released an HF001 to Sigrity 2019. The product family Allegro Sigrity consists of signal and power integrity simulation tools printed circuits and IC-Packages.

Celsius Thermal Solver Enhancements
The top release highlights of Celsius Thermal Solver are provided below.
Expanded Electrical-thermal Analysis Capability to Heterogeneous Packaging and 3D-IC Designs.
After integration with Voltus (Chip Power Sign-off tool), the Celsius electrical-thermal analysis capability has now been extended to allow integrated 3D-IC, TSV, and PKG designs.
Enhanced Transient Thermal Analysis of IC Designs Including Multiple Power Modes within the Chip
The transient thermal analysis capability of Celsius has been enhanced to allow multiple power modes within the chip.
Implemented Extensive JEDEC Standard Environments for Thermal Characterization of Packages with PCBs
Celsius allows the use of JEDEC standard specifications as templates for test-board design and analysis. This ensures standardized thermal analysis and measurements for consistency.
Implemented Component Thermal Models for Electronic Packages
Using Celsius, you can now create generic component thermal models that are commonly used in the electronic packaging industry. Celsius supports the following thermal models: Two Resistor Model, Delphi Model, and the Voltus Thermal Model.
Clarity 3D Solver Enhancements
The top release highlights of Clarity 3D Solver are provided below.
Native Windows Support Added
The Clarity 3D solver has been enhanced such that now you no longer require a Hyper-V machine to run Clarity simulations on a standalone Windows machine.
Dielectric Material Support Added
Two new options, Isotropic and Anisotropic, have been added in the Dielectric tab of the Material Manager form in Clarity 3D Layout and Clarity 3D Workbench that enable you to specify the dielectric materials as isotropic or anisotropic.
Support Added to Automatically Calculate the Maximum Length of a Signal Net
In this release, if you specify -1 in the Signal Net Max Edge Length field and select the Local Map option, Clarity 3D Layout and Clarity 3D Workbench automatically calculate the maximum edge length for signal nets during mesh generation.
Port Wizard Enhanced in Clarity 3D Workbench
You can now use the Port Wizard in Clarity 3D Workbench to create ports for discrete components, such as resistors, inductors, and capacitors.
Support for SPICE Models using Broadband SPICE Added in Clarity 3D Layout
A new option, Generate SPICE model by BBS, has been added in the workflow pane that enables you to automatically convert the network parameter results for the current simulation to a SPICE blackbox model.
Support Added for Cut-Stitch Flow
Support for Cut and Stitch flow has been added in Clarity 3D Layout. The Cut and Stitch flow speeds up the simulation by splitting one project into several subdesigns and solving them individually.
Gds2Spd Translator Enhanced
You can now perform GDS to SPD translation without importing a .map, .layermap, or .tech file in Gds2Spd Translator. The translator also lets you specify the design type for translation, set up layers and labels for translation, perform automatic clustering of vias, and translate dielectric layers as metal layers.
Sigrity Executables no Longer Available in SPB Installation
This is an early notification for users who use Sigrity Aurora, Allegro IDA, Topology Explorer, or SystemSI products from Allegro schematic or layout editors. Starting with the Allegro Release 17.40-2019 QIR1 release that is scheduled to be released in May 2020, you will have to install both Sigrity 2019 HF1 or a later version and OrCAD and Allegro Release 17.40-2019 QIR1 or a later version to be able to use these products. This will ease your installation experience and ensure that you access the latest Sigrity features and enhancements from Allegro schematic or layout editors.
When you will install Sigrity 2019 HF1 or a later version, the SIGRITY_EDA_DIRvariable will be set to point to the installation location. This variable will be used by the Allegro schematic and layout editors to access the correct Sigrity 2019 installation when using Sigrity Aurora, Allegro IDA, Topology Explorer, and SystemSI products.

Xilinx, Inc., the leader in adaptive and intelligent computing, is pleased to announce the availability of Zynq UltraScale MPSoC Board Support Packages 2019.2 is a collection of libraries and drivers that will form the lowest layer of your application software stack.


Board Support Package (BSP) is the collective term referring to all of the software components required to match a given operating system (and its environment) to a given hardware design (board). BSPs commonly contain low-level operating system and device driver code that is dependent on the hardware and upon which the rest of the operating system layers.

In addition, a BSP might also contain other files containing directives, compilation parameters, and hardware parameters that are used to configure the operating system. Since a given Xilinx hardware platform is configurable, fixed board support packages are not possible. Therefore, a custom board support package must be generated for each hardware design that you create.

SDK can be used to create board support packages for third-party operating systems that are supported on the Xilinx processors. The board support package appears as a project in the SDK Navigator view. You can configure each BSP project in various ways and then run a BSP generation process. The BSP generation process typically ends with a collection of files generated in the workspace, which you must then take into the third-party environment to proceed with building the operating system and applications. The specifics of what files must be collected and how they must be used depends on the third-party operating system in question.

This is a demonstration of our customized YOLOv2 on the Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC zcu102 board with a host PC. Its inference speed is around 40 FPS (Frames Per Second).
