This can be especially useful if someone wants to first "rehearse" migrating from Windows 10 to Windows 11 because it can be done using a virtual machine created on the current system.
The new O&O DiskImage 17 can also create incremental and differential images of virtual drives. Combining or mounting these images is also possible. Whenever there's a backup available, it only takes a few seconds to access any files that are needed. Work on the computer can then be continued without any loss of time or important data.
O&O DiskImage 17 with its own recovery partition
Normally with a backup or imaging program you need to create a boot medium (USB) to boot up your system if something goes awry. This you have to either carry around or store somewhere safe in case disaster strikes.
Thanks to the integration into the system, the O&O DiskImage RecoveryPartition can be accessed immediately so that the last system image can be restored directly. If the Windows operating system does not start or if faulty drivers have to be uninstalled - with the integrated recovery environment, all O&O tools are available to make the system operational again as easily as possible. Program Usage
Run PIDKey.exe, select the desired configuration, insert the key into the input field then click GO!. Identifying the key configuration will be checked against all configurations starting at the beginning of the list until correct data is retrieved.
The program has several built-in configurations, but also you can create your custom configuration. If you put your config file in the program folder, the file will be saved in a relative path and the program can work with it from any location folder with the program.
When you select a custom configuration a button becomes available to remove it.
You can check the key from a file. You can use any file in text format containing a key mixed with any number of other keys so they will be correctly extracted.

While there are a lot of Windows 10 privacy tools out there, many of them lack the detail this program has. Of course, this means that it might take you a bit longer to go through your choices.
For those who don't want to go into detail you can choose from 3 predefined settings. While the design is very simple, there are also 3 colors so that you can easily spot the these 3 settings
Green - Recommended - this is a conservative mode. Yellow - Conditionally recommended - probably the best bet but look over the choices. Red - Restricted - think of this as geek mode. Better know what you're doing. Must run as administrator.
Also, other similar apps don't always have a back or set a restore point making them a bit scary. This program however does offer a save, save as and load options so you can backup and import or export your settings anytime.
W10Privacy has a built in update checker and a handful of user settings as well.
