Optimal system configuration

For optimal configuration of Motor-CAD there are a few different considerations:

- Motor-CAD BPM Lab willmake use of multiple threads in order to build the motor model. To allow this to be done12 to16 hardware cores/threads is recommended. There is not any increase in performance with more than 16 cores.
- All other machine and calculation types will benefit from a high clock speed as they use single-threaded calculations.
- Installing Motor-CAD and running models from an SSD drive will allow Motor-CAD to run more quickly due quicker file access. It is recommended to run models from a local driveasthe results files are saved relative to the model file.

Hardware and Operating System Requirements

You create illustrations from imported CAD files. The hardware requirements partly depend on the type and size of the CAD files you import. Hardware drivers not updated by the manufacturer in the last four year smay not meet the needs of Creo Illustrate.

The B&W Software development team is pleased to announce the availability of Creo Expert Moldbase Extension (EMX) 13.0.0.0. This version is compatible with Creo Parametric 7.0.0.0 and supports cut out creation in multi body parts.

"Trimmed " and "Shortened length" can be added to Ejector Pin notes parameter:
- Create an ejector pin pre or post note string using the EMX options EJP_NOTE_PRE_STRING or EJP_NOTE_POST_STRING
- In case the configuration option contains the placeholder <geometry_option> it will be replaced with „trimmed" or „shorted_length"

New configuration file customer_number.cfg introduced:
- This config file can be used to overwrite the content of the USER_NUMBER parameter based on supplier, category, type and instance of a component.
- This allows the configuration of custumer number values without modifying the component *dat files at all.
