WordWeb Pro can look up words in virtually any program with just one click: just hold down the Ctrl key and right-click on the word. If you are online, with one extra click you can also search web references, for example Wikipedia. The hotkey can be customized, or you can use a keyboard shortcut if you prefer. If you are editing a document you can select a synonym and replace the look-up word. WordWeb has the option to highlight widely used synonyms, great for helping you write clear easy-to-understand English. Look up using Ctrl+Right click on a word in almost any program.

Exploring senses
If you are looking for a particular part of speech you can click on the Noun, Verb, Adjective or Adverb buttons to show only the relevant synonyms and related words. To look at a particular sense you can click on the sense number. Browsing around related words is simple: click on the tabs for synonyms, antonyms, parts, part of, types, type of, similar, see also, and anagrams. To see the definition for one of the related words double-click on the word. You can also use the back and forward buttons. Related words also have "+" and "-" buttons to be more or less specific. For example if you look at the similar words, maybe you'd like to see words that are more loosely similar: you can do this by pressing the "+" button, and go back again by pressing the "-" button.

Web references
In addition to using the comprehensive English dictionary and thesaurus supplied, if you are online you can also search your choice of web references. Each reference is on a separate tabbed page for easy cross-referencing. The list of tabs can be customized to use your favorite references. Wikipedia and some online dictionaries are installed by default.

Extra dictionaries
You can also get optional third-party dictionaries, including the Oxford, Chambers and Collins dictionaries, shown on separate tabs like the web references.

Use custom glossaries
You can add your own technical glossaries (or list of company acronyms, etc) using the option on the "Glossaries" menu.

Find words
Using the "Find Word" feature you can quickly find words matching a pattern. You can also search a wide range of optional extra word lists using the Find Word window. The screenshot shows what you'd get if you did a punctuation sensitive search in the optional "Compounds and Phrases" word list for phrases ending in "word".

Full-text definition search
Use the "full text" button to search for text appearing in any definition. For example search for "female fox" and it will find the definition of "vixen". The screenshot shows another example.

Anagrams
Enter a word and you can find all straight and multiple word anagrams. You can also find partial anagrams. How many words can you make using the letters in "constitutional"? WordWeb Pro's answer: 726!

Add definitions
Select "New Definition" from the "Edit" menu to add a new word (or set of words) with definition. You can also import and export to common spreadsheet-format files.

Learn vocabulary
Use the bookmark feature to remember useful words. There's a feature to randomly look one up as a way of helping you remember vocabulary. WordWeb also builds a list words you've looked up, so you can go back and check you remember definitions. You can also export the list to a text editor, delete items, or delete the entire history list.

Replace, copy and paste
If you are looking up a word from a document you are editing, you can select any word and press the "Replace" button to substitute a synonym. You can also copy to the clipboard parts of definitions, all of the definitions, the selected related word, or all of the listed related words (or anagrams/words matching a pattern).

Includes many names of places and people, with a concise definitions and related words.

Enhancements included in this release provide major performance improvements in both modeling and analysis that make it practical for customers to solve larger and more realistic multidiscipline analysis of mechanical systems.


MSC.Adams and MD Adams are the world's most widely used and trusted solutions for real dynamics of engineered systems in automotive, aerospace, defense, medical, wind energy, packaged goods, and many other industries. Improving upon this best-in-category foundation, MSC.Software has further implemented a modernized C++ solver, improved memory utilization, and enhanced integration with finite element analysis (FEA). These enhancements have proven to deliver speed improvements of up to 95% reading results from large models, and as much as a 53% improvement in CPU performance in running analysis on these same models. Solving real multidiscipline problems using flexible bodies from FEA has shown in some cases to deliver an astonishing 700% speedup relative to the previous release.

This release features several enhancements to Adams 2020. Here are some of the key highlights and the associated user benefits.

Adams View Temporary Settings
- Temporary settings is a new capability to apply temporary settings to a single simulation run
- Using the temporary settings feature you can now experiment with model settings while maintaining an audit trail.
Adams View UDE authoring
- Adams 2020 includes user-friendly functionality that leverages the existing UDE capabilities to create repeatable sub-models
- You can now create higher order objects and include multiple instances of these objects in Adams using the GUI and without the need for additional scripting and coding
Adams Car FMU bushing
- Adams 2020 includes the ability to include external high-fidelity bushings representations in an Adams model
- You are no longer restricted to the idealized bushings representations in Adams Car
- You now have the ability to bring in external high-fidelity bushings representations as black box models that protect any proprietary information using the FMI interface
Solver Contact Performance
- Performance improvements in contact modeling especially with flex bodies
- You will see significantly more simulation throughput while running models with flex body contact

) lists the new and updated features that are available in ADINA System 9.5.4, as compared with ADINA System 9.4.4. There are new commands and new and changed parameters associated with the new and updated features. The release notes refer to the commands and parameters in the command-line formats.

The ADINA system has been developed in recent years into a complete system for the analysis of solid, fluid and coupled problems. Fluid flows can be modeled as Navier-Stokes incompressible, slightly compressible and fully compressible flows. They can also be modeled as porous medium flows. Structures can be modeled as 2D/3D solids, beams or shells. The response of the structure can be linear or nonlinear, and can also include contact effects. The fluid and structure can be coupled through their interface (FSI), porous media (PFSI) or thermal materials (TFSI). Both iterative and direct solution procedures can be used for solving the fully coupled system. These capabilities, together with the extensive boundary conditions and material models, and the user-friendly graphical system for pre- and post-processing (AUI), make the ADINA system a powerful tool for engineers and researchers.

ADINA is also used as the Siemens NX Nastran non-linear solvers (sol 601 and 701), and has translators for Siemens FEMAP pre and post processor if the user wishes to take advantage of FEMAP. The Siemens NX Nastran can be imported and exported from ADINA.

Proceanic's Structural Analysis Group carried out a collision analysis for a Floating, Storage, Production, and Offloading (FPSO) vessel. The analysis considered a variety of collision cases including a supply vessel colliding with the side of the FPSO (as shown in this video) and a shuttle tanker colliding with the rear of the FPSO.
