Lockheed Martin Corporation has unveiled an hotfix to Prepar3D version 4.5. This latest release continues to build upon the solid foundation and advancements made to the platform by bringing new features, improvements, and fixes across the board.

Prepar3D version 4.5 (4.5.12.30293) Hotfix - Date: 13 May 2019

Client Fixes and Improvements
- Fixed performance issues seen on some systems and configurations.
- Fixed issue where the interpolated wind direction value would be invalid in some cases.
- Added configuration option to toggle UI hardware acceleration mode (UIHardwareAcceleration).
- Fixed crash when re-enabling Virtual Reality (VR) while using the Oculus headset.
- Fixed crash that could occur in some cases after a plugin removed its textures from the system.
- Varjo eye tracking is now supported.
- Improved performance when using the Varjo headset.
- Fixed issue where CreateEffect callbacks would not be issued unless both xyz and pbh offsets were present.
- CIGI ownship ID now set to 0 for versions prior to CIGI 4.0.
- Fixed error with empty EntityAffiliation tags being written out in saved scenarios.
- Fixed issue where sound volume could be incorrect when switching between interior and exterior views.
- Fixed issue where PBR textures could be black in interior views when first entering a vehicle.
- Fixed incorrect unit conversions for camera eyepoint altitude P variables.

- Fixed missing PBR texture in F-16A.
- Removed light scaling from beacon effects.
Scenery Fixes and Improvements
- Increased beacon light visibility distance.
SDK Fixes and Improvements
- Fixed an issue where the PBRMaterial's effectFile property would not be updated during load.
- Fixed an issue where 3ds Max exports would throw material mismatch errors when P3DMaterial and PBRMaterial were being used in the same scene.
- Fixed issue with drawing and loading Annotator vegetation polygons.
- Fixed several minor errors in documentation.

Prepar3D v4.5 continues to build upon the solid foundation and advancements made to the platform by bringing new features, improvements, and fixes across the board.

Terrain night lighting has been overhauled adding greater visual detail and clarity. Highways illuminate through cityscapes like never before and sprawling urban environments come to life extending to the horizon with higher resolution night textures.

Major optimizations have been made to model loading vastly reducing load times for complex scenery add-ons. Additional enhancements were made across the entire platform ranging from smoother multiplayer animations, greater Virtual Reality (VR) performance, to improved Physically Based Rendering (PBR) lighting and color balance.

Expanded developer features including support for PBR autogenerated vegetation, greater effects customization, and various interface updates and new services further expand Prepar3D's open development architecture enabling richer and more customizable content.

New features added to the Professional Plus product include Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS) auto-connection, DIS engagement lines, and Common Image Generator Interface (CIGI) collision detection expand Prepar3D's interoperability between professional simulation platforms. Additionally, multiple improvements to SimOperator including full sound support, a real-time progress log, and object visual ribbons, helps bring interactive scenarios to life while enhancing operator situational awareness.

Trimble has released an update to Tekla Structures 2019, is much more than design and detailing software: it is the most accurate and comprehensive 3D building information modeling (BIM) tool in the market that streamlines the workflow from sales, bidding, cost estimation and conceptual design to detailing, manufacture and erection. This release arrives with improvements and fixes - be it drawings, collaboration, or modeling complex geometries or reinforcement.

Compatibility This version is not backwards compatible. When you create or save a model in Tekla Structures 2019, you cannot open it in older versions due to database differences.
About Tekla Structures 2019 This version includes improvements and fixes for example in drawings, collaboration and modeling complex geometries or reinforcement. As a practical example of what the new version has to offer is modeling structures like spiral shaped stairs, which can become quick and easy with the new Spiral Beam. Working with steel bent plates is now easier, while Precast Concrete Floor and Wall Layout and the flexible, intelligent Tekla method for modeling and modifying reinforcement have been improved. Creating more complete drawings becomes faster, and DWG export functionality is more efficient.

Avizo Software 2019.1 Release Notes - March 2019

Thermo Scientific Avizo Software version 2019.1 rolls out exciting new tools and enhancements.

- new version number and new life cycle
Starting with this 2019.1 release Avizo Software releases will be fully synchronized in terms of version number and life cycle.
. Avizo Software 2019.1 is the upgrade of Avizo Software 9.7
All products now benefit from quarterly releases, constantly keeping all users at the best level of features and performance for increased productivity.
- new 3D Image Stack Processing
Introduced in the previous release of Avizo Software, the Image Stack Processing workroom features an interactive environment to easily create and execute image processing recipes to process image stacks in 2D. (Each image of the stack is processed individually.)
In the 2019.1 release, the Image Volume Processing module is the 3D equivalent to the Image Processing Module. This module enables the processing of an image in 3D rather than processing each image of the stack individually. When a recipe is created, the preview is performed on a 3D-slab (with a user-defined width) rather than on a slice. This allows for correctly set 3D parameters.
- new out-of-core image Stack Processing
While the Image Stack Processing module allows the creation of a workflow from a single slice, it still needs to have the full stack in memory to process it. The new Process Stack on Disk module enables the processing of a full stack directly on disk. Each image in the stack is loaded into memory, processed, and then saved on disk. At any given time during the processing, only the workflow to process a given image is in memory. This allows for the processing of extremely large image stacks that could not even fit in memory.
- new pore and cavity segmentation using Compute Ambient Occlusion
This new module enables the segmentation of pores and cavities, which usually cannot be distinguished from the surrounding material, by considering the gray values and texture properties of the image.
This tool is a major feature, unlocking segmentation workflows that were not previously possible.
- new and enhanced modules
. The Filter by Measure Range module extracts a subset of labels from a label image by computing a measure for each label, then keeping only those labels within a given range of the measure.
. The new NeighborCount measurement returns the number of objects close to the current label. This measurement is useful for identifying particles belonging to a cluster.
. The Filter Sandbox module now integrates the GPU Adaptive Manifold mode for the Non-local Means filter, with a huge performance improvement, especially in 3D mode.
- Avizo Inline framework
. Enhanced DICOM/DICONDE support and extended user management
. Avizo Inline adds support for extra DICOM/DICONDE features in the Receiver Service, providing segmentation files management, organized folder structure of to-be-inspected models, as well as extended automation configuration capabilities.
. As well, Avizo Inline 2019.1 provides additional user management features, such as common preferences and password-protected configuration.
