Make the specified area bright and vivid

Dehaze function
Adjusting the hazy image with the "Dehaze" slider removes cloud-like distortions in your image caused by water vapor in the air and leaves the image with just as much clarity as if it were taken on a bright sunny day.

Individual adjustment of brightness of highlight/shadow area of photograph
The Highlight/Shadow sliders in the exposure adjustments allows you to manually adjust the brightness of the bright (highlight) and intensity of dark (shadow) portions of the image. Even when shooting subjects with intense contrast while using exposure compensation, it is sometimes still difficult to control the exposure. Here, simply adjust the "highlight/shadow" individually during RAW development to achieve a result suitable for the image of the Photographer.

Partial correction tool
Partial tone correction can be applied to specified area of the image. For example, brightness and White balance can be partially adjusted. The selection methods of the correction area include "circular correction filter", "gradual correction filter", "brush", etc., and can be corrected by carefully specifying the area.

Blurred / Sharp periphery functions
You can blur or sharpen the periphery of the specified range. Blurred periphery produces a close-up effect by blurring the periphery of your subject. In addition, if the image is shot with the aperture opening value of the lens and the resolution of the peripheral area drops, the "Sharp periphery" can be used to make a good correction.

Auto adjustment button
The Auto adjustment buttons for Auto exposure bias, Auto White Balance Setting, and Automatic Level Correction, which are suitable for the respective images, have been recently added. The Auto adjustment button is recommended for those who are "having a first try at RAW Development" or say "RAW Development has so many adjustment options and don't know what to do." In addition, when making adjustments to a large number of images at a time, you can improve the efficiency of editing workflow by using the Auto adjustment button.

Search in thumbnails
Search in thumbnails is a function for searching and displaying images by specifying a condition such as "shooting info" such as File name or Date, comments, or ratings from specified folders. You can also specify multiple folders at the same time, which is a very useful feature for locating the desired image within a larger collection.

Other
These include the independent placement of initialization buttons for instantaneously returning images to their pre-adjusted states, the addition of user-mark colors for image selection, and the easy transfer of images from the SILKYPIX to retouching software.

Deft Compressor is an audio signal compressor AAX, AudioUnit and VST plugin for professional sound and music production applications. The characteristic feature of this compressor is its ability to produce "slim" and "slick" sounding compression, with intelligibility enhancement effect. Such result is achieved by compressor's timing function that closely resembles the S-curve (sigmoid curve) on both attack and release stages. S-curve timing function also helps compressor to sound "warm" and "clean" at most settings.

While at high attack settings Deft Compressor can be used to emphasize audio transients, it can also be used to "smash" audio signal if you use attack settings as low as 0.01 millisecond. Even though the S-curve is the marked feature of Deft Compressor, you can smoothly change it to a steeper L-shape by adjusting the "Punch" parameter.
Deft Compressor also features a so called "vintage" compression mode which produces compression sound reminiscent of analog tube compressors: it produces a warm, gently saturated sound with the ability to overdrive the output signal. Beside that, you may switch between the "feed-forward" and "feedback" compression modes.
Deft Compressor is perfectly usable for compressing vocals, drums, guitars and other instruments, both technically and creatively. Beside that, it can be used to compress mix groups and full mixes.

GPU Acceleration:
On certain graphics cards, Houdini can use the GPU to dramatically increase the performance and speed of your Pyro FX and Fluid simulations.

The amount of VRAM your GPU has access to will limit the size of simulation that you can run on it. 4GB + is ideal for larger simulations.
GPU acceleration currently does NOT make use of multiple OpenCL devices (i.e. two or more graphics cards) but this may change at a future date.

Studio is the editor to use when you want jaw-dropping images and you're not afraid to spend the time to get them. It's for creating works that push the bounds of your artistic vision; the few that you know you'll look back upon in years as one of your best creations. That's why you won't find library management, design tools, batch editing, or other common "image editor" tools in Studio. There's a lot of photo editors out there that help you manage your workflow and make minor contrast adjustments. Topaz Studio is not intended for that. If it doesn't contribute to the vision of creating singularly beautiful images through post-processing, then we're not including it.

1. Cutting edge filters.
Most image editor tools are the same: your Exposure in one editor is the same Exposure in another. In Studio, we've thought about what common adjustments would look like if they were designed today, and updated them to their most modern and useful forms.

2. Powerful selection and masking.
Very rarely do you want to apply the same effect to all parts of your image the same. Studio considers masking and selective adjustments to be a core task, and features several innovations that make selective editing substantially easier and faster for you.

3. Fully non-destructive layers.
Mix and match filters and effects with different blending modes and opacity. Everything that you do in Studio can be edited and adjusted after the fact with a fully non-destructive layer workflow.

Precision Contrast

Topaz Studio 2 doesn't do everything, but it is really good at what it does do. If you ever find yourself needing that extra "something" in your photos, please give it a try. You'll be pleasantly surprised!

Powerful selective adjustments and masking.
There's a big difference between masking for compositing vs. selective adjustments. Topaz Studio focuses entirely on selective adjustments, and we think of it as a central feature of the product instead of an add-on. As you'll see, this led to many design decisions intended to shorten the amount of time you spend refining your mask, like including edge awareness in each masking tool in Studio.

Brush Tool
Select different parts of your image by painting directly on it. Topaz Studio's brush is edge aware by default. This means you can quickly paint over your selection without having to worry too much about staying between the lines. This is the fastest and most direct way to selectively apply an effect to your image.

Spot Tool
Emphasize a certain subject in your photo with the edge-aware spot tool. The spot tool is a quick way to draw attention to a certain subject in your your image. Since it is edge- and color-aware, you don't need to worry about refining your mask too much.

Gradient Tool
Gradually level off your effect with the gradient tool. Topaz Studio's gradient tool is unique in that it's also adjustably context-aware, which creates much better masking experience. It's like having a graduated neutral density filter that also knows how to tell between foreground and background.

Color Tool
Create a mask targeted at the different colors in your image. This is probably the easiest masking tool to use: just click on your image with the eyedropper and this will automatically select the correct parts of your image. Great to selectively apply effects to just a single color range in your image.

Luminance Tool
Create a mask targeted at different brightness levels in your image. This tool will get you a perfect selection very quickly in images with a clear separation in brightness between subject and background. Also great for selectively adjusting highlights, shadows, or anything in between.

Fully non-destructive layers.
Layers are essential for creative post-processing because they allow you to apply effects in unlimited ways to your image. Let's walk through an example workflow that illustrates what you can do with them.

RELEASE NOTES:
Full non-destructive layer support.
As mentioned before, Topaz Studio 2 now has full layer support - and everything you do is non-destructive. Looks (formerly presets) go on their own layers so you can now mix, match, and stack them. (Apply and Duplicate no longer necessary!)

Major UI refresh.
Topaz Studio 2 received a major user interface change focused around layers. You can easily drag and drop to rearrange layers, access layer masks, and control blending/opacity. It does look quite different than the current Studio, but we're confident this new workflow will enable you to work more quickly and easily than before.

A couple things to keep in mind with Studio 2:
• You will be able to use Studio 1 alongside Studio 2, but you will not be able to buy any additional paid adjustments
• The old Studio 1 .tsp format will no longer be compatible
• Studio 1 presets will not be compatible at launch, but we will offer a utility to help migrate custom Studio 1 presets into Studio 2
• Studio 2 will not support plug-ins upon release, but this will be added soon
