Given that most of us spend hours in front of our computers every day, it makes perfect sense to place important reminders on our desktop, where it is almost impossible not to notice them.
Vov Sticky Notes is a fairly simple program that enables you to create stickers which, just like post-it notes, serve to keep important information at hand. Additionally, it allows you to set up desktop alerts for upcoming events.

Straightforard sticky note app that could use some improvements
The application's main function is to enable the user to place colorful stickers on their desktop. You can create as many as you like, resize them and change the text font, but there is no option to hide the title bar and the Delete and New buttons.
Additionally, the name displayed in the title bar is generated automatically, and it is not possible to keep notes on top of all other windows.
Lastly, the notes cannot be hidden after they have been created. Therefore, you will have to delete stickers if you wish to remove them from your desktop.
Allows you to set up helpful reminders, but it lacks some useful features

Vov Sticky Notes enables you to create reminders that display a notification on your desktop at specific times. These can be one-time, hourly, daily, monthly or annual alerts.
However, you cannot choose between multiple types of notifications, disable the default alert sound or replace it with a personalized one.
Moreover, it is not possible to edit reminders once they have been created. While they can be deleted easily from the system tray menu, it may be difficult to identify specific notes due to the fact that their descriptions are not displayed.

Basic sticky note app that needs more work
In conclusion, Vov Sticky Notes is not a particularly impressive application, as it lacks a number of important features. It can be used to create simple desktop stickers and set up reminders, but it needs to be improved in several respects.

Color Fonts Support
For many years the changes in typography have been incremental rather than radical.that is until color fonts emerged. (Emoji icons on your phone are examples of color fonts.) Additionally, font styles are mapped to the type styles buttons P/B/I in the palettes and dialog. Hyphenation Strictness Levels
QuarkXPress has delivered quality hyphenation technology since version 6.5. It's based on technology licensed from UB Dieckmann, considered by many to be the best hyphenation available on the market. But it gets better. In QuarkXPress 2018 you can choose between five hyphenation strictness levels. You can hyphenate everywhere that is grammatically correct or e.g. chose to only hyphenate compound words. You pick which strictness level is best for your publication. This option helps to avoid 'fresh-air' cutting and thus reduces machining time. In certain case cycle time can be reduced by as much as 50%.

Rough Turn Cycle - Collision Check
Automatic collision detection has been added to the Rough Turning Cycle. Prior to this enhancement, a user would manually apply profile extensions to avoid collisions. As the user no longer has to intervene, time will be saved in initially creating the CAM instructions. Moreover, strategy manager authors may now use this new function produce safer toolpaths.

Unnecessary Regenerations Reduction
A major enhancement is the removal of unnecessary CAM regeneration. Specifically, when a user makes an edit to an existing command, Edgecam will not automatically regenerate the remainder of the instructions. When editing a tool command, users will notice that there is zero regeneration if the alteration doesn't affect the corresponding cycles e.g. coolant, high-speed condition

Profiling Cycle - Spring Passes and Arc Feedrate Adjustment
Profiling cycle offers new 'Spring Cuts' command where the user can add extra cuts if required to improve accuracy. This is particularly useful on materials where elasticity is an issue.
Cycle time calculation has been improved through the new 'Adjust Feedrate on Arcs' command. The function will lead to both correct code and a more accurate cycle time calculation.

JT Open Files - Enhanced Datum
Edgecam 2018 R1 reacts to the growing popularity of a new, lightweight 3D model format by introducing support for JT Open file. Datum identification has become easier by way of different display markers. Users can now comprehensively edit a manually created milling feature. Formerly when extra edges were required, the feature had to be re-created.

Deep Hole Drilling Cycle
Edgecam 2018 R1 provides support for 'Deep Hole Drilling' - also known as 'Gun Drilling'. When activated the new 'Deep Hole' strategy will empower the user to control entry, exit and intermediate drilling conditions.
This technique is particularly important where specialised 'Gun Drilling' tools are used and the process requires accurate and precise code output.

Lightmap HDR Light Studio 5 - The lighting tool for 3D artists - HDR Light Studio provides a fast and precise way to light a 3D model. The lighting design is saved as a high dynamic range, high resolution image that can be used in any renderer.

• Professional lighting software for creating HDRI maps for image based lighting
• Add, move and edit lights on a lat-long rectangular canvas.
• Lights displayed on the canvas are distorted automatically so that they appear undistorted when projected using a 3D spherical environment map. Three projection types are included for content placed on the canvas: Planar, 3D (Lat-Long), Spherical.
• Procedural and image based lighting content - including procedural sky.
• Load BMP, Cineon, HDR, IFF, JPG, OpenEXR, PNG, PSD, Targa, Tiff files as lighting content. For large image files, converting to a mip-mapped image format before loading significantly increases performance.
• Over one hundred high resolution, high dynamic range images of spotlights, softboxes, umbrellas and other light sources are included with HDR Light Studio 5. These can be dragged from the presets panel and dropped onto the 3D model, canvas or light list.

• Our patented "LightPaint" technology enables you to position lights accurately on the environment map by clicking where you'd like the lighting effect on the 3D model. Rim mode allows quick positioning of light behind your model. This approach removes much of the trial and error of traditional lighting setups.
• Lights are managed in a list and can be switched off, soloed, re-ordered and locked. The position in the list determines the order in which the lights are composited on the HDR canvas.
• Toolbars provide quick access to all light types: Round Light, Rect Light, Hex Light, Gradient Light, Picture Light, Dark Light, Sun Shade, Gradient Background, Picture Background, Sky Background and the Uber Light. Uber Light is a flexible multi-purpose light with additional Alpha controls.
• Frequently used light parameters (brightness, scale, rotation) can be adjusted using a dragable area of the interface.
• 3D models are rendered and displayed in the Render View window. An optimised renderer is used to provide an instant preview of your lighting design as you add, move, edit and delete lights, or change the surface characteristics of your model. There are options to render with a shadow catcher floor and display a solid color, flat image or the environment map in the background of your shot.
• Supported 3D model formats: Collada, Mental Images, OBJ, Alembic (time support in seconds) and FBX (Windows only).
• Flexible user interface with panels that can be docked, undocked, tabbed, resized and hidden. Includes a range of useful interface layouts.
• Canvas pixel probe provides RGBA and HSV values.
• Canvas exposure control.
