Among other things, today's update fixes a couple of display issues. If you have ever seen blank lines in the main song table - this update is for you. In general, beaTunes will feel a little faster and scrolling around in huge lists should be more responsive. Also related to graphics: the choice of GPU (graphics adapter) on OS X. There really is no reason why beaTunes should use the high performance GPU. Thanks to a recent Java update (8u92), beaTunes is now able to request the integrated GPU instead of the high performance one, resulting in lower power consumption. And as beaTunes comes bundled with a Java runtime, there is no need for you to update your system's Java to get this feature.
Another important bug fix deals with Album Replay Gain. Because the beaTunes analysis queue processes multiple tracks in parallel and independently, computing Album Replay Gain is a little like dealing with a pink, spotted elephant: All tracks for an album have to be loaded, analyzed and the metadata has to be written, while another analysis thread may already work on one of those files. Compared to all other values beaTunes computes, this is a big exception and requires some extra synchronization logic. For 4.6.1, this logic has been completely rewritten.

Reverb
The reverb engine has been optimized to reduce coloration and digital artifacts to a minimum. As a result, this reverb can be used for a wide range of material, from small rooms to huge plate-like reverbs.
The included graphic EQ can be used to shape the output spectrum of the reverb. A single color control determines how much the reverb is modulated. No color results in a crystal clear reverb, a large amount of color results in a broader and more diffuse reverb sound.

Reverb Editor
The degree of coloration and the overall sound, including the early reflections, depends heavily on the internal reverb delays.
By default, the plug-in has various carefully tuned delay settings pre-installed. However, it also allows you to create your own delay/reverb templates, which can then be used in the presets. A complex network between the delay lines ensures that the delays do not have to be perfectly adjusted to sound good.

Grain Engine
The grain engine can be used to pitch the sound with different pitch offsets or add more chaos and variation to the final reverb output. Different routings are possible.

The uniQ 2 is the ultimate EQ toolkit, with different EQ types and filter shapes, giving you the
best of analogue in an unrestricted and versatile digital environment. Each band is switchable
between bell, shelf, low pass or high pass filter types, so you can create the EQ you need for
the task at hand.
Save time and avoid tedious manual workarounds with uniQ 2 plug-in designed from the
ground up for fast, efficient work on mid/side, stereo and the objects, the beds (fixed
channels) of immersive mixing environments.
Units
This module allows you to select an equalizer from four available. The equalizers are arranged in series, this allows you to process channels with different equalizers settings.
For example: the first EQ is only the mid channel, the second EQ is only the side channel, the third Eq is the left and right channel. For multi-channel modes: the first Eq is only the left and right channels, the second EQ is the center channel, the third EQ is the LFE, etc.
You can rename Unit Buttons for ease of use. To rename the selected Unit button, right-click on the button.
In order to turn on the solo (listen) of the equalizer, double-click on the selected equalizer number. The equalizer in solo mode glows yellow, to exit solo mode, double-click again. For two-channel modes, only one equalizer can be solo mode. For multi-channel modes, one or more equalizers can be soloed.
To bypass Eq processing, press the selected equalizer number one click + shift. In bypass mode, the button will glow red.
You can also copy all equalizer settings to another equalizer. To do this, select the equalizer from which you want to copy the settings, then click on the copy button, then select the equalizer to which you want to copy the settings.
