Synapse Audio DUNE v3.2.0 WiN | 354 Mb​

DUNE is an acronym for "Differential Unison Engine". This new technology takes the well known unison concept to a new level. Unison is a classic synth feature which plays several voices simultaneously when playing a note, usually up to 8. Those voices can be detuned and spread in the stereo field. What's new about DUNE is the ability to do anything with those unison voices, or even voice clusters.

The revised filter section in Dune 3 now sports a dual multimode filter plus an insert effect. Different routing modes like serial/parallel and seamless blend via the Balance knob allow for unlimited creative input! New filter types have been added as well, and include zero-delay feedback filters derived from our latest analog modeling technology. For creative applications, new insert effects like the formant/vowel filter or phaser greatly increase the range of sound design possibilities.

Dual Arpeggiator

Two arpeggiator units instead of just one greatly increase the sound design capabilities of DUNE 3. The Arpeggiators can be programmed independently and support both classic Up/Down arps, as well as playing back different sequences or even MIDI files. Furthermore, new features like the Random mode or programmable Arp Hold make the arpeggiator more powerful than ever before!

Improved oscillators

At the heart of DUNE 3 are its powerful oscillator blocks. DUNE 3 supports VA, FM and Wavetable synthesis. With a maximum reserve of 8320 oscillators at full polyphony, DUNE 3 is a true unison monster, unlikely to ever run out of oscillators. New in DUNE 3 is the "Swarm" mode, an evolution of the classic Supersaw oscillator.
Each oscillator gets its own subtle modulation in this mode, breathing a lot more life into the sound than possible previously!

New effects algorithms

DUNE 3 offers many new effect algorithms in all categories like Distortion, Chorus, Phaser, EQ, Delay and Reverb. One of the most important additions is the new Equalizer, which sports technology from our GQ-7 Graphic Equalizer rack extension. Designed as a professional mixing and mastering equalizer, the new EQ offers four bands with high-quality parametric and shelving EQs, plus two additional low- and high cut filters with variable slopes. All filters in the EQ are designed to handle modulation without artifacts, such that the EQ can be used for creative purposes outside the realm of traditional EQ applications. Another great new effect algorithm is the new Shimmer Hall, an exclusive feature of DUNE 3 - ideal for lush ambient sounds, wonderful pads and leads!

Wavetable Editor

The new Wavetable editor introduced in DUNE 3 is one of the most powerful around. Waveforms can be created via free-hand drawing, segments, a dedicated partial editor or by entering formulas. A variety of functions like morphing, fade in/out, normalize, DC remove, Invert/Reverse make creating new wavetables a breeze. Waveforms and Wavetables can be imported and exported in WAV format and are thus compatible with a wide range of third party software.

Sync Checker is a diagnostic application which can check if two folders or disks are perfectly synchronized, i.e. if they have exactly the same contents. When creating backup copies of valuable files, or when making sure that two computers or mobile devices work on the same set of data, the status of being "in perfect sync" can be very important. In order to be safe and to prevent loss of data, you can let Sync Checker verify whether a pair of file collections are matching exactly or not.

In other situations, it might be interesting to find differences between file sets. For example, you might like to know which files have changed on your computer, comparing a Time Machine backup of last Friday with one of last Tuesday.

After performing a sync check, Sync Checker will either confirm that all files are identical, or it will present all detected mismatches. You can browse through the differing items, analyzing exactly where a mismatch occurred, and if the differences are critical or negligible. Filter tools help you to navigate through large sets of mismatching objects. You can also create a textual report of the results which can be printed or exported.

The software is distributed electronically. You can download the product and test it before you decide to purchase a license for unrestricted usage.

What's new in Build 19002

Update on improving your Bluetooth Experience
With Build 18985 we announced we were working on improving our streamlined workflow for pairing your Bluetooth devices. We're happy to share that this change is now rolling out to 100% of Insiders-thank you to those that have already tried it and shared feedback!

We also wanted to add two new peripherals to our supported device list:
- Microsoft Bluetooth Keyboard
- Microsoft Bluetooth Mouse

- We fixed an issue that could result in upgrades failing with error 0x8007042b.
- We fixed an issue resulting in the acrylic effect in the Action Center only appearing after the Action Center opening animation had finished.
- We fixed an issue where with multiple monitors and different DPIs, the File Explorer search box could become enlarged and offset.
- We fixed an issue with the search indexer resulting in unexpected files being returned as search results when searching using French (France).
- We fixed an issue for Japanese users where the user name in the Settings header wasn't displayed in the correct order.
- We fixed an issue resulting in clipboard history, WIN+(Period), and the touch keyboard displaying English text when being used with non-English display languages.
- We fixed a rare condition that could result in devices not reconnecting after toggling Bluetooth off and back on.
- We fixed an issue resulting in the VPN sometimes not automatically connecting after waking your device from sleep.
- We fixed an issue that could result in the brightness getting stuck at 0 or 100% and requiring a reboot before it could be changed.
- Text cursor indicator works better in more experiences (e.g. Word, Run dialog, Outlook) now.
- The Magnifier centered text cursor option should now work correctly when switching Magnifier modes.
- We fixed the mouse pointer visual when using the Magnifier docked mode.
- We fixed a bug where Narrator was not saying the state of Scan mode when Edge was opened or closed.
- We fixed a bug in Narrator where Narrator sometimes say password twice when focus was in a password edit field.
- We fixed a bug in Narrator where scan mode was getting stuck in edit fields in Firefox.
- We've made some general improvements and bug fixes for the Windows Subsystem for Linux (WSL), please see the WSL release notes for details.
- If you were one of the Insiders experiencing frequent explorer.exe crashes recently, please go to the Microsoft Store and check for Xbox game bar app updates (specifically version 3.34.4xx should have the fix). If you're on this app version and still seeing explorer.exe crashes, please file feedback and we will investigate.
- Just a heads up that we're expanding the rollout of the Settings header to more Insiders, so it may now appear for you when it hadn't before. As always, we welcome feedback about Settings - in the Feedback Hub you can share it under Desktop Environment > Settings.
- [ADDED] For devices that were affected by the Dual Scan issue fixed in Build 18999, you will need to disable WSUS on the device or update from an ISO of Build 18999 or higher, which will be released in the coming weeks.
Known issues
- We're working on a fix for an issue that started with the previous flight where some devices are getting stuck during shutdown or restart and appreciate your patience. If you're impacted by this issue, please see this forum post for workaround options.
- There has been an issue with older versions of anti-cheat software used with games where after updating to the latest 19H1 Insider Preview builds may cause PCs to experience crashes. We are working with partners on getting their software updated with a fix, and most games have released patches to prevent PCs from experiencing this issue. To minimize the chance of running into this issue, please make sure you are running the latest version of your games before attempting to update the operating system. We are also working with anti-cheat and game developers to resolve similar issues that may arise with the 20H1 Insider Preview builds and will work to minimize the likelihood of these issues in the future.
- We're investigating an issue where initiating "Reset this PC" with the cloud download option isn't working on this build or the previous one when started from Windows RE.
- We've heard that Settings still isn't available outside of launching via the URI (ms-settings for some Insiders and are investigating.
- When using dark theme, the hardware keyboard text prediction candidate window is unreadable due to black text on a dark grey background.
- When optional updates are available, Insiders with the Settings header may see the Windows Update indicator in a warning state, although the main page of Windows Update Settings shows that everything is up to date.
- Bluetooth devices may not reconnect as expected after closing the device lid for certain devices. We're working on a fix, but in the meantime, you can toggle Bluetooth off and back on in the Settings app or reboot the device and that should resolve the issue.

All network administrators like to informed at all times about the status of the devices they are in charge with, so rather than walking to each of them to check them up, they can rely on a dedicated software solution that can centralize all the information. Such an application is 10-Strike LANState.

Considering that efficiently using this utility means scanning the network according to the settings specified by users, they need to have some previous knowledge of networking otherwise they might not get access to all the devices they were looking for.

10-Strike LANState comes with a sample file that can help users get accustomed to the ways used by the app for mapping devices and they can also get an idea regarding the correct method of mapping them.

When they want to create a new map from scratch, users can either import individual hosts or they can scan an IP range and import all the detected devices, be they workstations, printers, routers, servers, laptops, firewalls, switches, access points and so on. Once mapped, users can easily check their status by regularly pinging them.

If the generated map does not come with a correct layout (depending on their existing network settings), users can manually add lines and areas, so as to organize their devices more efficiently.

In addition, users can also explore a wide range of information about the monitored device - for example, in the case of workstations, the application can display the IP address, the DNS name and MAC address, the running OS, current date and time, as well as uptime or even Ethernet card vendor.

Admins can also perform other tasks on the mapped devices, including sending them messages, running traceroute or name lookup, remotely shutting them down or creating detailed reports that can be analyzed at a later time.
