Beginner's Guide to Retouching Old Photographs in Adobe Photoshop

Master a range of Photoshop's retouching tools and show some love to old family photographs, dirty scanned negatives or those digital pictures you took with a dusty camera, so you can proudly showcase them online or get them printed!

I am Dominic Righini-Brand, a professional photographer with a passion for chemical photography and film processing. During my career as a photographer and teacher of photography, I have retouched a huge number of photographs, perfecting the way I use various retouching tools in Photoshop, and I am excited to share with you my tips to help you get started with retouching old photographs, master a range of Photoshop's tools and ultimately speed up your retouching workflow!

This class is designed for beginners and anyone who wants to learn about how to retouch and restore images in Adobe Photoshop. It is also suitable to anyone who is interested in digitising Lomography photographs, students and anyone starting out in photography who has been experimenting with chemical photography and now wants to digitise their work. All of the tools which I'm going to be showing in this class can also be used on digital photographs, so if you have not got any scanned negatives, don't worry, this class will still be useful.

For the best experience possible you'll need a Creative Cloud version of Adobe Photoshop, but you'll still be able to complete this class using older versions. You can download the latest trial version of Adobe Photoshop CC from adobe.com.

In this class you'll learn:

how to use the Clone Stamp, Spot Healing Brush, Healing Brush and Patch tools to clean and retouch your photographs;
what each of these tools works best for;
how to retouch your photographs non-destructively to have more flexibility and a more streamlined workflow;

Designing a Simple Personal Portfolio Website

Hey! My name is Oliur. I'm a designer and creator who has been designing for over 10 years now. I've had the privilege of working with clients from small local businesses to multi-billion dollar companies. I now earn six figures as a designer so I hope you can learn something from me to also have a great career in design and creativity.

This class is aimed at beginners who are interested in web design but don't know where to start. It is perfect for those who prefer to learn by doing.

You will learn my process of designing a simple personal portfolio website. What steps I take to get it done and some of my own design tips and tricks to making something look great.

All you need is a web browser to get started as we will be using Figma, which works in the browser. It's completely free to get started.

Elcomsoft iOS Forensic Toolkit supports both legacy hardware (iPhone 4 and older), jailbroken 32-bit devices (iPhone 4S through 5C) and jailbroken 64-bit devices (iPhone 5s through iPhone X).

A proprietary acquisition technique is exclusively available in Elcomsoft iOS Forensic Toolkit for 64-bit devices. Logical Acquisition with Keychain Extraction

Logical acquisition produces a standard iTunes-style backup of information stored in the device. While logical acquisition returns less information than physical, experts are recommended to create a logical backup of the device before attempting more invasive acquisition techniques.

Logical acquisition with iOS Forensic Toolkit is the only acquisition methods allowing access to encrypted keychain items. Logical acquisition should be used in combination with physical for extracting all possible types of evidence.

Media and Shared Files Extraction
iOS Forensic Toolkit offers the ability to quickly extract media files such as Camera Roll, books, voice recordings, and iTunes media library. As opposed to creating a local backup, which could be a potentially lengthy operation, media extraction works quickly and easily on all supported devices. Extraction from locked devices is possible by using a pairing record (lockdown file).

In addition to media files, iOS Forensic Toolkit can extract stored files of multiple apps, extracting crucial evidence from 32-bit and 64-bit devices without a jailbreak. While access to app data without a jailbreak is limited, this new technique allows extracting Adobe Reader and Microsoft Office locally stored documents, MiniKeePass password database, and a lot more. The extraction requires an unlocked device or a non-expired lockdown record. If a lockdown record is used, some files may not be accessible unless the lock screen passcode is removed.

The HDR technique makes it possible to create an image so faithfully to how the scene is perceived in reality. When the scene being photographed has both very dark and very bright areas, the camera is unable to capture its entire range of luminosity. As a result, the image will contain underexposed or overexposed areas, which cannot be adequately corrected at the editing stage.

In order to capture the full range of luminosity of such scenes, the HDR technique is used. It consists in capturing several images of the same scene at different levels of exposure and subsequently combining them into one complete image.

SNS-HDR is a software for processing images using the HDR technique. It allows users to create HDR images from sequences of photos, as well as process single images. Featuring a wide array of tools, the software has been optimized to make the generated images look natural. SNS-HDR is available in 3 versions (Professional, Home and Lite), which have different licenses and offer different sets of features.
