The Dynamic Range, the range of shadows to highlights in a single image, that can be captured has expanded greatly. SyncTime is the simplest solution to synchronize your files. Did you ever wish you could easily keep up to date all your backup copies, distributed across many devices? SyncTime will just do it.

SyncTime is capable of so many things, yet is so simple to use. From manual, scheduled or completely automatic syncing, to background syncing, bidirectional syncs and sophisticated exclude filters, you'll be able to set up your syncs exactly as you imagine.
You can create as many sync items as you need and customize each one individually. A sync item mainly consists of two folders: a source and a destination. You can choose any two folders reachable in the Finder: they can be located on your Mac, on an external drive, like a USB stick, or even on a remote server.
Among the possible options you will find
• Four overwrite policies: don't touch files already existing on the destination, overwrite only if the source file is newer than the destination file, overwrite if the source file has a different timestamp or overwrite always
• Three sync types: one-way sync (default), two-way sync (merge source and destination) and one-way move (delete the source files after a successful transfer to the destination). Please read carefully about these sync types in the Help section on the SyncTime website
• Remove files that don't exist on the source anymore
• Background syncing: changes are monitored in real time in order to keep your destination always up to date
• Start to sync automatically whenever source and destination become available or sync once a day, a week or a month
• Every sync item can be dependent on other sync items: it will trigger the dependencies and run automatically when they are all completed
• Files to be overwritten or removed can be moved to the trash or to a custom backup directory
• Exclude hidden files, files with names containing specific words or matching a regular expression, and selected files. Or exclude the root directory and specify just some included files.
Other features include
• Changes have to be confirmed by default and you can inspect the files that will be added, overwritten and removed and preview them in QuickLook
• Cancel a running sync at any time and restart it later
• Syncs run in parallel
• Automatic launch on login can be enabled from the status bar menu
• Your Mac can automatically be set to sleep or shut down after all syncs have finished (requires the respective Applescripts to be installed in the Scripts directory. For detailed instructions, please visit the website).

Allplan 2023 is the connecting platform for interdisciplinary collaboration between architects, engineers, precast manufacturers and construction companies, bringing numerous innovations and improvements. As a multi-material solution, Allplan covers everything: from masonry, in-situ concrete to steel and timber construction and, for the first time, precast concrete parts. The possibility of coordinating different materials and construction methods in a common model enables architects to better consider the economical and sustainable use of building materials earlier and taking environmental regulations into account. Engineers and construction companies can build directly on the architect's design and use it as a basis for statics and construction, building services, prefabrication and construction.

Allplan supports workflows throughout the entire process, from the initial idea to the finished project, thus enabling time, cost and material savings.
Highlights for architects include accelerated processing of site survey and point cloud data for renovation projects, faster modeling of complex openings, and real-time BIM collaboration between Allplan and Solibri. Powerful improvements in visualizations and animations as well as real-time synchronization with Lumion enable convincing and successful presentations of concepts. BIM-compliant planning and attribution is simplified.
Civil engineers will particularly benefit from the time-saving new developments for the automatic detailing of reinforcement. A new toolbox for steel connections also enables higher accuracy and improves communication with project partners. Convincing the client of creative ideas is often best achieved with realistic, atmospheric visualizations of the project instead of 2D plans that require explanation. With Allplan 2023, the extremely powerful visualization options have been comprehensively further developed. Visualization effects such as fluorescence, lens flare, depth of field and volumetric fog are now also consistently available in the animation as well as with Realtime Render and CineRender. Additional professional material settings have been added. The interaction with the CineRender when making changes has been significantly accelerated. NEW IN ALLPLAN: AUTOMATED PLANNING OF FINISHED PARTS

Specifically, the complete range of functions of Planbar, an innovative planning solution in the precast area, has been included in Allplan. The new release manager supports the timely ordering of reinforcement in lean construction projects. In order to make this process as time-saving and precise as possible, extensive optimizations have been made: Views and sections can now be created perpendicular to any surface or automatically with dimension lines. There are numerous new options for visibility and labels. In addition, many properties can be changed with the properties palette to save time for multiple views and sections.
BEST POSSIBLE OPEN BIM WORKFLOWS FOR RELIABLE COLLABORATION
The Allplan interfaces have been extensively updated to provide the best possible support for data exchange with OPEN BIM and proprietary formats. For IFC, DWG and DGN formats, Allplan now uses the current libraries of the Open Design Alliance, an association of 1250 companies in the construction industry. The reliable cooperation in OPEN BIM projects has certified buildingSMART for the export of the IFC4 Reference View.
The SAF format, which is now supported by 16 software companies, was defined for interaction with statics software. In addition, cadastral data with property boundaries can be imported in SHP format. The new IFC4precast interface enables model-based data exchange that is independent of the production systems used.

Instead of importing and exporting BCF files, the connection of the Allplan* Issue Manager with the Solibri BCF Live Connector now allows issues identified during the model check in Solibri to be passed directly to the issue workflow in Allplan. There they can then be evaluated and assigned for processing.

OneLaunch is an application dedicated to creating a single hub for accessing your applications, folders, settings, and other features on your machine. It doesn't necessarily bring a new concept to the table. In all its simplicity, this app is synonymous with a dock launcher. Still, it includes a couple of extra features that will come in handy to certain users.

Pretty yet crowded
During the whole test procedure, we couldn't help but notice how many features this app includes. On one hand, it makes it feel inclusive, filled with all sorts of goodies, on the other it seems exaggerated, crowded, and at times in the way. There was no need for a games section, for example. These are created for leisure activities, ergo you'll probably not feel the need to access these instantly, afraid of losing the perfect moment for doing that.
Work documents, folders, screenshots, and all similar elements, on the other hand, can be accessed without any hassle, and it's indeed helpful. You want to be more productive when you work because faster means more time for you to relax. The included search engine and browser again feel like extras you wouldn't really need, especially for Windows users who already have those included in the basic package.
Lots of apps included
Other notable mentions in terms of added functionality are a news and weather widget, a calculator, a dictionary and PDF reader, and even a recipe app. This further demonstrates the idea of a crowded app with functions from all imaginable areas of human existence. For some, this will be a blessing, for others an instant turn-off. The app can be customized, and it also includes an internet speed test program.
The bottom line with OneLaunch is the fact that it is an app dock and an app hub at the same time. It makes more sense to use if you've got an older OS with little to no features, but for individuals running the latest systems, this will feel like an unwelcomed addition.
