Then learn to create repeating patterns using the "wrap around mode". Then, in chapter four, we will discuss the "Photobashing" technique. It is basically a technique of utilizing photos or external images to speed up the illustration process. Chapter 5 is the first big project chapter. Here you will learn to create an illustration of a deep-sea diver looking for treasure. You will learn the process in detail, from A to Z. In chapter 6, you will learn the ins and outs of the brush system in Krita. From the types of brush engines, sensors, to how to create your own brush presets and brush tips. With these, you will be able to create unique brush presets, such as creating sea plants or anemones on the fly, creating a rope in one stroke, creating a grass field in seconds, using plants that you design yourself, and so on. My artistic career began the day I picked up a camera, it taught me not to be afraid, to stand up for myself and be a positive force for change.In 2003 I graduated with a BA (Hons) in Photography in the Arts and in 2007 I completed a Post Graduate in Further and Higher Education at The University of Wales, Trinity St Davids, UK.Since then I have taught photography and many creative subjects from social health care settings, to schools, colleges and arts organisations. Teaching is very important to me, I believe everybody is creative and I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and experience with people to discover the artist inside of them.I have exhibited National and Internationally, including Ffotogallery, National Development Agency for Photography, Wales, Atlantis Gallery, Brick Lane, London and Parallax AF New York, with collectors in UK and New York and in October 2023 I shall be representing the UK at The Florence Biennale, Italy.About my art practiceThe materials I use are taken from popular culture and history. I am fascinated by the pioneers of society whether that is the icons from history or the individual with the loudest voice standing up for the person dismissed, not cared for, forgotten or just a number. My work has developed through creative collaborations often with people on the edges of society, these experiences are the fabric to my work. I am now based in Mallorca, since moving here my work has been largely impacted by the street artists and its narratives of social commentary.
