Inter- and intramolecular interactions that correspond to contacts between Lewis acid and Lewis base sites are considered in this monograph. Thus, we cover conventional experimental tools such as X-ray and neutron diffraction approaches, as well as newer methods for experimental electron density. An approach applied to analyze Hirshfeld surfaces is also described. On the computational front, the Quantum Theory of Atoms in Molecules (QTAIM) method, Non-Covalent Interactions (NCI) approach, Electron Localization Function (ELF) method, Natural Bond Orbital (NBO) approach, the Energy Decomposition Analysis (EDA), the Car-Parinello molecular dynamics (CPMD), and others are included.

Drawing on Rawls's theory of justice and Marx's critique of capitalism, this book answers those questions in a resounding affirmative. Some think that a just society for Rawls cannot promote a better social world unless it is acceptable to all but, this wrongly treats Rawls as a supporter of minimal government. Setting this aside, the book argues that the ideas of justice behind political and media pundit support of neo-liberal capitalism are faulty, and should be replaced with a Rawlsian idea of justice. Resistance to the idea that an acceptable theory of justice can say that capitalism is unjust is overcome by showing that capitalism, as Marx sees it, must be unjust on Rawls's theory of justice because it breaches the difference principle and involves exploitation of employees. Reasons are then given for a new society that will be just under a modified Rawlsian idea of justice and will promote the Marxian good of free social cooperation on projects pursued independently of demands of nature. What a free life lived in this new society means is spelled out and shown to be acceptable. This book concludes by asking whether society can set out on a path to a better social world.

The only notable feature is that it covers both real and p-adic analytic manifolds. All the standard results on Lie groups are proved in Chaps. 4 and 5. Some of the proofs are, however, different from those in the earlier literature. Some results are not found in the literature, though they are kind of folklore among the experts in Lie theory. The last two chapters (Chaps. 6 and 7) are on Lie algebras and cover the structure theory as found in the first of the Bourbaki volumes on the subject. In these chapters, some proofs are new.
