MDK-Core consists of the genuine Keil µVision IDE and debugger with leading support for Cortex-M processor-based microcontroller devices including the new ARMv8-M architecture. DS-MDK contains the Eclipse-based DS-5 IDE and debugger and offers multi-processor support for devices based on 32-bit Cortex-A processors or hybrid systems with 32-bit Cortex-A and Cortex-M processors. MDK includes two ARM C/C++ Compilers with assembler, linker, and highly optimize run-time libraries tailored for optimum code size and performance:

ARM Compiler version 5is the reference C/C++ compiler available with a TÜV certified qualification kit for safety applications, as well as long-term support and maintenance.

ARM Compiler version 6is based on the innovative LLVM technology and supports the latest C language standards including C++11 and C++14. It offers the smallest size and highest performance for Cortex-M targets.

Software packscontain device support, CMSIS libraries, middleware, board support, code templates, and example projects. They may be added any time to MDK-Core or DS-MDK, making new device support and middleware updates independent from the toolchain. This is the installer of the build tools from Microsoft (i.e., this is all that is needed to build projects but without a development environment, without an IDE). If you need a development environment, then install this If you only need a C ++ compiler, then instead of this distribution you can limit yourself to a more compact distribution
More specifically, unlike the full studio, this installer does not include a graphical interface (IDE) component and, accordingly, you cannot install a visual development environment through the BuildTools edition. Through this limitation, an attempt is made to reduce the weight of the installer and reduce the size and impact on Windows. BuildTools does not provide any additional features (that is, it is like a "toolchain from small ones" ... it seems to me it would be worthwhile to name this modification so that everything would be clear at once ... but they called the edition so).

Installation:
* Disconnect from the Internet ... well, if you do not want pale telemetry
* If the installer does not have access to the Internet, then install certificates for self-diagnosis of the installer by executing Certificates_Setup.cmd ON BEHALF OF THE ADMINISTRATOR

If you encounter a problem with the update, to begin with, you can try to simply restart the update process (i.e., pause the update, restart the installer, and resume the update). If it does not help, then try the following.
If you remember the name of the folder from where you installed the studio, then make sure that the installer from this distribution starts from the folder with the same name (rename / move the folder or, it's easier, make a symlink ... if you can of course). If you do not remember where you installed it, then before updating, you better save your component configuration to a file, so that if the update breaks down, you could rearrange BuildTools with less effort using the saved component configuration (when reinstalling, you do not have to select your components manually).
If you have access to an Internet, then this problem with updates is not particularly critical for you (just some of the components that the installer will see on the disk will be downloaded from the Internet).

Other restrictions
Administrator rights are required to install Visual Studio.
.NET Framework 4.5 is required to install Visual Studio. Visual Studio requires .NET Framework 4.7.2, which will be installed during setup.
Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC edition and Windows 10 S are not supported for development. You may use Visual Studio 2019 to build apps that run on Windows 10 LTSC and Windows 10 S.
Internet Explorer 11 or Edge is required for internet-related scenarios. Some features might not work unless these, or a later version, are installed.
For Hyper-V emulator support, A supported 64-bit operating system is required. A processor that supports Client Hyper-V and Second Level Address Translation (SLAT) is also required.
For Android Emulator support, a supported processor and operating system is required.
Universal Windows app development, including designing, editing, and debugging, requires Windows 10. Windows Server 2016 and Windows Server 2012 R2 may be used to build Universal Windows apps from the command line.
The Server Core and Minimal Server Interface options are not supported when running Windows Server.
Running Visual Studio 2019 Enterprise in Windows containers is not supported.
Team Foundation Server 2019 Office Integration requires Office 2016, Office 2013, or Office 2010.
Xamarin.Android requires a 64-bit edition of Windows and the 64-bit Java Development Kit (JDK).
PowerShell 3.0 or higher is required on Windows 7 SP1 to install the Mobile Development with C++, JavaScript, or .NET workloads.

This distribution presents an almost complete BuildTools edition of VS2019 studio. Who needs only a C ++ compiler, see here . If you need to install / update NOT BuildTools studio edition, see here . If you have any problems, try first to check the integrity of the downloaded by running Check_Files.cmd
This distribution presents the BuildTools edition, from which ONLY old versions of C ++ have been removed (corresponding to studio versions 16.0-16.9). This had to be done so that the distribution size was smaller and it would already be advisable to have a separate BuildTools distribution from the AIO. Whoever needs old compilers of older versions, you can install BuildTools from the previous distributions of BuildTools or install BuildTools from the AIO distribution (in which there are mechanisms for returning everything removed to the fullest)
The removed components are so unimportant that you simply cannot select them from the first tab of the installer. On the second tab, in order not to run into missing components, you should not select those components that contain "14.2x" in their name, where x is from 0 to 8 ... the latest version of the "pluses" (ie 14.29) is naturally left. In short, from the C ++ compilers, only the latest version from the 2019 studio and the version of the compilers from the 2015 and 2017 studios are left.
Apart from the old C ++ components, nothing has been cut out. Those. if you are not interested in C ++ then you can safely put anything you want offline

There may be difficulties with updating BuildTools:
The essence of the problem with updating BuildTools in offline mode is that the installer sometimes does not see some of the downloaded components if the name of the folder from which the installer is launched is NOT the same as when installing BuildTools. If this happens to you, then you need to either restart the installer but from the same folder, or simply rearrange BuildTools, or provide Internet access.

You can edit several documents at the same time.

Multi-View
You have two views at same time. That means you can visualize (edit) 2 different documents at the same time (screenshot). You can visualize (edit) in the 2 views one document at 2 different positions as well. The modification of document in one view will carry out in another view (i.e. you modify the SAME document when you are in clone mode).

Regular Expression Search/Replace supported
You can search and replace one string in the document by using the regular expression.

Full Drag 'N' Drop supported
You can open a document by drag & drop. You can also move your document from a position (or even a view) to another by drag & drop.

Dynamic position of Views
The user can set the position of the views dynamically (only in 2 views mode : the splitter can be set in horizontal or in vertical), see screenshot.

File Status Auto-detection
If you modify or delete a file which opened in Notepad++, you will be notified to update your document (reload the file or remove the file).

Multi-Language environment supported

Bookmark
User can just click on the bookmark margin (located right side of line number margin) or type Ctrl+F2 to toggle a book mark. To reach the bookmark, type just F2 (Next bookmark) or Shift+F2 (Previous bookmark). To clear all bookmarks, click the Menu Search->Clear All bookmarks. See screenshot.

Brace and Indent guideline Highlighting
When the caret stay beside of one of those symbol { } [ ] ( ) , the symbol beside of caret and its symmetric opposite symbol will be highlighted, as well as the indent guideline (if any) in order to locate the block more easily. See screenshot1, screenshot2 .

Macro recording and playback
You can save several macros and edit their keyboard shorcuts for the next use.

Computer performance is very important for every user, especially those who are working with applications that require important system resources to work properly. In order to enhance it, you can use an overclocking utility, such as OCCT.

This software is designed to help you monitor system hardware components and allow you to overclock them. It provides testing tools for the CPU (benchmark OCCT and LINPACK tests), the graphics card and the power supply.

The interface is intuitive and comprises two panels, one that includes the 'Monitoring' section and the other that displays the available tests.

In its main window, OCCT displays detailed information regarding your hardware devices, such as the CPU and the motherboard. Also, there is a table where you can view the current and the overclocked CPU and bus frequencies.

The CPU and the memory usage are constantly monitored and the values are displayed in a dynamic graph. By default, the program uses HWMonitor to generate them, but it also offers support from third party monitoring software, such as AIDA64, provided that you have them installed in your PC.

Whichever test you decide to choose, overclocking can easily be turned on or stopped anytime you want. Before starting, the user has the possibility to select the test type (infinite or automatic), configure its duration and idle periods, as well as other parameters, depending on the selected hardware device.

For instance, the LINPACK test allows you to choose the memory percentage, while choosing the GPU test lets you customize the resolution and the FPS limit.

Once the selected test is started, you can immediately view the effects on your CPU and memory usage graph, as well as the new values for the CPU frequency.

Although it does not offer a wide range of options, OCCT proves to be a handy tool for enhancing the overall system performance.
