With a Virtual Private Server, you have complete control over the software that is available to you, and you can fine tune the server to meet your exact needs. But setting up a secure VPS takes a bit of work, and requires a bit of learning.

This course will take you through the basics of setting up a fast, secure VPS on Linode, DigitalOcean, AWS Lightsail, Vultr or any other provider that offers VPS Linux hosting. We'll set up an Ubuntu 20.04 server with the most commonly needed software, and ensure that it is locked down as securely as possible. We will also go through best practices for adding users, software, and services, and ensure that we choose the right kind of server for a particular project. We will learn how to implement public and private keys for secure access using SSH, how to edit files on the remote server through the command line using vi or nano/pico, how to use the most common and useful Linux command line programs, and how to configure the most popular and useful server software.

Description
This is a course on Machine Learning, Deep Learning (Tensorflow + PyTorch) and Bayesian Learning (yes all 3 topics in one place!!!). Yes BOTH Pytorch and Tensorflow for Deep Learning.

We start off by analysing data using pandas, and implementing some algorithms from scratch using Numpy. These algorithms include linear regression, Classification and Regression Trees (CART), Random Forest and Gradient Boosted Trees.

We start off using TensorFlow for our Deep Learning lessons. This will include Feed Forward Networks, Convolutional Neural Nets (CNNs) and Recurrent Neural Nets (RNNs). For the more advanced Deep Learning lessons we use PyTorch with PyTorch Lightning.

We focus on both the programming and the mathematical/ statistical aspect of this course. This is to ensure that you are ready for those theoretical questions at interviews, while being able to put Machine Learning into solid practice.

Some of the other key areas in Machine Learning that we discuss include, unsupervised learning, time series analysis and Natural Language Processing. Scikit-learn is an essential tool that we use throughout the entire course.

We spend quite a bit of time on feature engineering and making sure our models don't overfit. Diagnosing Machine Learning (and Deep Learning) models by splitting into training and testing as well as looking at the correct metric can make a world of difference.

I would like to highlight that we talk about Machine Learning Deployment, since this is a topic that is rarely talked about. The key to being a good data scientist is having a model that doesn't decay in production.

New Features and Enhancements
Altair Inspire Studio 2021.1 includes the following new features and enhancements.

Tags
Apply labels to faces using the Tags command. Tags are commonly used to label faces when sending geometry to simulation tools.

Sketch Profiles
Profiles are shaded when editing a sketch, indicating that the profile is closed.

Sketch Geometry Colors
The colors of sketch geometry are updated to align with other Altair products.

Virtual Wind Tunnel (VWT) Support
- Stream Lines
- Animated Mesh
- Motion Loop: Support for objects with embedded motion (coming from simulation results).

Drawing Views
When selecting the objects to include in the base drawing view, there is an option to set a custom view direction.

PolyNURBS

The Select to Border option was added to the right-click menu when editing PolyNURBS in face mode. Select to Border extends the
selection to the border faces.

Updated NURBS to Poly tool.

Variable Manager
Geometry based variables can be defined and referenced through the application providing unique flexibility to configure and explore design variations.

Use the Variable Manager to create new variables, edit variables, and import or export variables to a .csv file. You can then add and
define variables for use with the sketching and geometry tools. You can also specify dependencies between the variables, which
will cascade changes and update the model accordingly.

Once defined, you can then apply variables when using the sketching and geometry tools from the tool microdialogs. You can
select any available variable previously defined in the Variable Manager whose type matches the selected field. Click the f(x) button to
choose from the available variables.

NURBS Curve
The UI when editing NURBS curves is simplified. Now, the points used to add CV points are only shown when you hold down the Alt
key.

Animation Updates
- The Animation Mode can now be accessed at any time from the Home tools. You do not need to switch to the Animation tab to begin creating an animation.
- Keyframe and track enhancements
- Rotation Around Axis tool
- New animation panel with possibility to edit curves for velocity control
- Parameters in Design Table can now be animated

Python Installation Directory
The location of the Python installation is moved up one level in the Altair installation folder. This was done so that Python is only installed once when multiple Altair products are installed.

Grafcet-Studio is a modern software tool for the Grafcet standard DIN EN 60848, making it easy and fast to draw a Grafcet chart with copy & paste and auto-completion.

Once the Grafcet chart has been designed, it can be tested with the integrated simulator. So, you can check if the Grafcet behaves as desired. During the simulation you can switch inputs on and off and you can watch how the Grafcet logic reacts. For an even more comfortable simulation, you can connect a virtual system with the Grafcet logic.

In addition, Grafcet-Studio offers the possibility to transfer the Grafcet to a device or PLC at the push of a button. The Grafcet logic no longer needs to be manually converted into a program.

Draw/Edit
Draw Grafcet plans according to DIN EN 60848 quickly with copy&paste, auto-complete and templates. Save the Grafcet as an image file and insert it into your document or send all pages to the printer.

Simulate
Simulate the Grafcet at the push of a button and check if everything works as it should. For easier simulation, NC contacts (normally closed) can be defined - or connect the Grafcet logic with a virtual system in 2D or 3D.

Device
Download the Grafcet to a PLC at the push of a button - without manual programming, including monitoring mode. Now this is possible with Siemens S7-300/400, S7-1200/1500, CODESYS V3 based controls, RaspberryPi, Arduino Due.

Simulation of the Grafcet-logic
Only if you simulate the designed Grafcet chart, you can be sure that the sequence is exactly as you have thought it would be:
Did you always use the correct action type?
Did you always use the correct assignment in the action string?
Did you always use the correct step type?
Did you always use the correct step variable?
Are all transition conditions correct?
Are there no copy/paste errors?
Are somewhere typos in Grafcet terms that lead to misunderstandings.

Simulation with a 2D-scene: PLC-Lab
Grafcet-Studio (all Editions) can connect to PLC-Lab (all Editions) over a software interface. The sensors and actuators of the virtual scene are synchronized with the Grafcet logic. So you can test your Grafcet chart in the same way like the real hardware. Virtual scenes are a MUST HAVE when you have many input and outputs.
PLC-Lab is very flexible and you can build any scene you like.

Simulation with a 3D-scene: Factory I/O
You need Grafcet-Studio Standard-Edition (or better) to connect to Factory-I/O MHJ-Edition or Ulimate-Edition. Factory I/O offers a better visual experience than PLC-Lab but is not as flexible when creating a virtual scene. With PLC-Lab almost every machine can be reproduced in a simplified way. With Factory I/O, you should check if your desired machine can be replicated before buying.
