The software developer Autodesk announced the launch of Mudbox 2022. This release includes very minor updates including a new installer on Windows.

Mudboxis a digital sculpting program similar to ZBrush. This is a cheaper CG sculpting program so it's great for anyone on a budget, or anyone new to 3D art. And Mudbox connects into many other 3D programs for a very natural workflow.

Digital sculpting is a common part of any 3D artist's workflow, especially working with more organic objects. It is very similar to the process of real life sculpting with clay, subdividing your models(basically adding extra polygons) which allows you to add details that are far more difficult to achieve in a traditional polygonal 3D workflow.

While working on The Lord of the Rings trilogy, the company Skymatter developed this software to improve their creativity. It was first used as a full product on King Kong (2005).

Version 1.0 was released to the public in February of 2007, just before Skymatter was bought out by Autodesk in August of the same year. Now Mudbox is a well-regarded piece of software within the industry used by companies such as Epic Games and Blur Studio. The advantages of using Mudbox lie in its powerful sculpting tools and brushes.

Generally you would make a low polygon base mesh in a traditional 3D polygonal software like 3ds Max or Maya. From there you would import it into Mudbox to add further detail.

Once you have your base mesh in Autodesk Mudbox it then uses the Catmull-Clark subdivision algorithm to increase the poly count while maintaining the mesh's basic shape. This lets you use sculpting tools to deform the mesh and raise or lower its surface.

Just like a real ball of clay, here you can push, pull, carve, and add onto the base mesh to add a lot of detail. Its flexibility lets any artist sculpt an entire bust from a simple sphere (a common practice project). This can be used just to add skin pores or other features to a pre-existing model.

This offers a lot more flexibility than traditional modelling techniques, and Mudbox connects with all Autodesk software making it a strong choice compared to other sculpting programs.

The real joy of digital sculpting is its non-destructive workflow. You can use layers to add and remove details, and you can always revert back if you don't like the results. This would be much harder in a traditional sculpting scenario. For this reason some people will just use Mudbox to make standalone pieces for games or movies. Since Mudbox is owned by Autodesk, the same company that develops 3ds Max and Maya, it has been closely integrated with the ability to send models directly from polygonal software into Mudbox for sculpting.

What has been changed by the author of the assembly:
- At the heart of the assembly are original Russian and English distributions combined into a single package, from which everything that is not directly related to the installation of the Architecture add-on has been removed.
- Unlocked the ability to install the add-on on Windows 7 SP1, Windows 8.x and Windows 10 minor versions.
- For a modern installer, a solution was developed and implemented to select the interface language of the installed program.
- The interface language of the installer itself is set based on the OS interface language.
- A number of manipulations have been performed so that the correct installation of the package is available not only from the hard drive, but also from the DVD drive.
- Autodesk On-Demand Install Service has been updated from version 1.16.0.31 to version 1.18.0.25.
- The assembly does not include medicine. The medicine is included in my build of AutoCAD 2022, on top of which it is recommended to install this addon.

Core Temp is a compact, no fuss, small footprint, yet powerful program to monitor processor temperature and other vital information.What makes Core Temp unique is the way it works. It is capable of displaying a temperature of each individual core of every processor in your system! You can see temperature fluctuations in real time with varying workloads. Core Temp is also motherboard agnostic. All major processor manufacturers have implemented a "DTS" (Digital Thermal Sensor) in their products. The DTS provides more accurate and higher resolution temperature readings than conventional onboard thermal sensors.

When you launch it the main window will appear, along with a system tray icon:
1) Hover the mouse over the icon with enumerate all cores and show their temperature.
2) Double-Left click will either show or hide the main window.
3) Minimizing the main window will minimize it to system tray.
4) Single-Right click will bring up the "File" menu.

There are also settings that you can adjust:
1) Set the interval between each temperature read (10 - 9999ms).
2) Set the interval between each write to the log file (Equal to read interval and up to 99999ms).
3) Toggle the logging On/Off.
4) Prevent from the "CPU is overheating!" message from appearing in case of overheating.
5) Show temperature in Fahrenheit - self explanatory.
6) Start minimzed - when checked will start Core Temp with the main window hidden.
7) Show Delta to Tj.Max. - Will display the output of the DTS value on Intel CPUs.
8) Start Core Temp with Windows - Check the checkbox to make Core Temp start together with Windows.

You can also adjust the settings for the system tray icons.
There is support for the Logitech G15 keyboard.
Core Temp will automatically launch a G15 applet, and display temperature on the G15 display.
It currently only supports single processor (up to 4 cores) systems.
Core Reacts to the Soft-Buttons:
Button1: Show current temperature.
Button2: Show highlow temperature per core.
Button3: Reserved, currently does nothing.
Button4: Closes the G15 applet (doesn't quit Core Temp, just disconnects it from the G15.
To get it back to the G15, rerun Core Temp).
