Text comparison and merging
- Merge enables you to compare and work with different revisions of text files, such as program source code, XML and HTML files. Merge can extract and compare the text from Microsoft Office, OpenDocument, PDF and RTF files. XML files can be shown with special formatting, helping you to see changes more clearly. It supports files with ASCII, MBCS and Unicode character encodings.
- Merge shows detailed highlights of changes within lines. It can be configured to ignore differences in whitespace and line endings, as well as changes in lines matching specified regular expressions. The latter is useful for ignoring unimportant changes such as timestamps or expanded version control keywords.
- A colour-coded side-by-side comparison makes it easy to pinpoint at a glance similarities and differences between files. Linking lines are drawn between the documents showing clearly how they are related.
- Point-and-click merging helps you choose the parts of each file that you would like to add to a final merged version by simply clicking buttons. The in-place editor with unlimited undo enables complete control over the merged file as you create it. The text comparison display dynamically updates as the merge progresses.

Compare text from common office file formats
- Extract and compare the text content from Microsoft Office, OpenDocument, PDF and RTF files. Copy text from other applications and paste directly into a text comparison. (Note that office document layout and formatting is not shown in text comparisons.)

Image and binary file comparison
- Merge doesn't just compare text files. Use image comparison to compare many different types of image file and instantly see which pixels have been modified. Binary comparison enables you to identify differences in data files at a byte level.

Three-way comparison and automatic merging
- Merge Professional adds advanced three-way visual file comparison and merging to the Standard Edition's two-way visual file comparison and merging. This is particularly useful when more than one person is working on the same set of files.
- Automatic Merging enables swift reconciliation of even the largest files. Three-way file comparisons can be launched directly from a three-way folder comparison, allowing efficient integration of entire branches of source code.

Folder hierarchy comparison and synchronization
- Merge supports folder hierarchy comparison and synchronization, enabling you to compare and merge entire directory trees. This is ideal for detecting changes in different versions of source code or web pages. You can even use the efficient byte-by-byte comparison option to verify the contents of recordable CDs or USB thumbsticks.
- With support for a variety of archive formats (.zip, .tar, etc.), Merge enables you to compare archives as if they were folders. Compare the contents of an archive to a folder to verify its contents, or to see which files have changed since the archive was created.
- The Professional Edition of Merge supports three-way folder comparison (with automatic merging capability), enabling two revisions of a folder hierarchy to be merged with their common ancestor or some other folder hierarchy. This can be especially useful when used in conjunction with a source code control or software configuration management system.

Direct access to configuration management (version control) systems, Time Machine and FTP sites
- As well as being able to compare files and folders on local drives and network shares, Merge comes with plugins for Git, Mercurial, Subversion and Perforce. In addition to providing read-only access to older versions of the files you are comparing, the plugins make it possible to perform a folder comparison of a local Perforce or Subversion client workspace against the repository. Alternatively, different branches (or the same branch at different points in time) within a repository can be directly compared. A similar plugin for AllChange is available from Intasoft.
- Merge integrates with local Time Machine‡ volumes, so you can open any earlier revision of a file or folder. Open the same file or folder in both the left and right comparison panes, then use the Versions button to compare a file or folder with another revision of itself.
- An FTP plugin gives Merge file and folder comparisons direct access to files located on an FTP server. It is therefore possible to use a folder comparison to synchronize a local copy of a website's content with the main site itself, provided the main site is running an FTP server.

Portable reports
- File comparison reports can be created in HTML, HTML slideshow, XML or UNIX diff format. HTML reports are particularly useful for archiving and distribution. Folder comparison reports can be created in HTML or XML format.
- A folder comparison report can, optionally, include file comparison reports for some or all of the files involved in the folder comparison. Thus it is possible to generate a report that is a complete record of all the differences in all of the files involved in a folder comparison.

Printing, automation and other advanced features
- Other features include the ability to print a hard copy of file and folder comparisons, and to customize the behaviour and appearance of the application, including fonts, colours, whether the display is split horizontally or vertically, and more.
- A full Automation or AppleScript API and Command-Line Interface are included, allowing close integration with other applications (such as source/version control and software configuration management (SCM) systems) or your workflow.
- Comprehensive online documentation is available from the Araxis website, including context-sensitive help for very dialog and dialog control.

What's Fixed
In addition to the issues listed below, this release includes two important fixes:

UV Editing: Unfold 3D Process Error (MAYA-103819)
Many users on systems with newer, high-end CPUs like Ryzen 3900x series have reported issues and 'Unfold3D Process Error' messages when unwrapping or optimizing UVs. If you run Maya using one of these high performance CPUs, you can now set the environment variable MAYA_USE_ALTERNATE_UNFOLD_SHIM = 1 to use the Unfold3D tools.

Viewport 2.0: Run in OpenGL Core Profile mode with Windows Remote Desktop Connection (MAYA-104308)
For the most part, you can run Maya normally over Remote Desktop Connection on Windows. By default, this configuration forces Viewport 2.0 into DirectX 11 mode.

If you have an Nvidia GeForce graphics card and you want to use OpenGL mode instead, Nvidia has released a new tool to enable Windows Remote Desktop streaming of OpenGL applications with GeForce drivers R440 or later. To use this tool with Maya 2018.7, set the environment variable MAYA_ALLOW_OPENGL_REMOTE_SESSION=1.

The new UV Editor modernizes the UV workflow, giving you powerful tools to create UV layouts with ease. Together with enhanced global symmetry support all throughout Maya, as well as improvements to Quad Draw, Multi-Cut, and Live objects, you can now create and texture models faster than ever.

A new clumping modifier makes Interactive XGen grooms more natural by breaking up uniform flow, while a collision modifier allows hair to react to other meshes (such as hats). Meanwhile, general workflow improvements and a new Shaderfx Game Hair shader now make this the ideal tool to create hair for game characters. You can also check out our new XGen Learning Paths for help on figuring out which kind of groom to use.

Updates to Viewport 2.0 that make it compatible with OSD 3.1, complex shading networks, displacements, light shadows, and ambient occlusion, provide a better realtime idea of what your rendered images will look like. Additionally, enhancements to the Render Setup system make it easier to create and adjust collections and overrides, as well as sequence and batch render. Arnold 5 is included with your installation of Maya, and includes features such as new physically based surface, hair and volume shaders, new utility shaders, support for light group AOVs and light path expressions, and improved color management support.

New MASH Dynamics allow you to apply dynamic properties to MASH networks, which stack with existing MASH nodes to quickly create visually stunning motion graphics with just a few clicks. Try combining them with the new primitives, which allow you to create complex organic shapes and animate them on the fly.

Numerous improvements have also been made to Bifrost and Animation to expand their capabilities when working with foam and time formats respectively.

For plug-in developers, Maya 2018 includes a number of important updates to the Maya API.

What's New in CAMWorks 2020 - SP2

1.CW-99518 CSR-13005 Translation In German language version of CAMWorks, the command names in the CAMWorks NC Editor tab are incorrectly translated and interchanged.
2. CW-99135 CSR-12846 CSR-12789 Operation In Turn mode, the functionality to automatically set the spindle rotation direction(CW/CCW) based on hand of cut, feature being machined, and spindle being used is functioning incorrectly and needs to be improved.
3. CW-97602 CSR-11981 Feature For the specific part, incorrect hole features are recognized when features are recognized after creating a Mill Part Setup.
4. CW-97372 CSR-11876 Operation When Generate Operation Plan is selected after inserting new features then, the parameters of earlier created operations are changed along with the creation of new operations from TechDB. Under such circumstances only operations for new features should be created and existing operations shouldn't be affected.
5. CWR-1781 CSR-12368 Toolpath For the specific Mill Part model, the Area Clearance Toolpath that peruses Mirror function fails to generate when the Toolpath Generation Method is set to 'Advanced'. An internal error message is displayed.
6. CWR-1771 CSR-12062 Toolpath When the 3 axis toolpath generation method is set to Advanced then, incorrect toolpath generated for Z-level operation with negative XY allowance.

9. CWR-1764 CSR-11885 Toolpath When the 3 axis toolpath generation method is set to Advanced then, the toolpath of Area Clearance operation with "Adaptive Stepdown" and "Hit Flats" set to ON doesn't machine the flat areas in the feature.
10.CWR-1682 CSR-10980 Toolpath When the 3 Axis Toolpath Generation method is set to Advanced then, for the specific part, the toolpath for Z level operation results in feed move that violates ramp angle and results in tool breakage.

Inventor OEM is a development platform that allows developers to create a unique and powerful stand-alone application built on Autodesk Inventor technology. ARCHLine.XP 2020 200313 build 179 | 1.2 Gb

The Cadline Muszaki development team is pleased to announce the availability of ARCHLine.XP 2020 200313 is a versatile, professional BIM application that provides 2D floor plan, 3D modeling, technical documentation and photorealistic rendering capabilities for architectural and interior design needs.

Interactive Drawing Rotate. The new rotate drawing tool rotates the entire drawing to match two pick points. This is useful when the drawing has non-orthogonal walls, and you want to work along them.


The Swap option switches between the default orthogonal and last non-orthogonal view, and you can assign a keyboard shortcut to make switching even faster. (In DWG editors, the same can be accomplished with UCS.)

Half-tone Floors. To see one floor on top of another, you can fade it to show it in translucent gray. A related option switches to half-tones, so that the original colors show through, but also at 50% translucency


Hiding Cladding. The new Wall Framing Only option (under Build 3D Model) hides the cladding to show the wall structures, such as the 2x4s used to frame the building. Walls without framing are shown as solid, indicating where framing might be missing.


Associative Tags. Tags (found under Documentation) provide information about specific elements in the drawing. (See figure 4.) A dialog box helps you build tags. Leaders can be edited with bends and curves. Another dialog box sets the default format of tabs for differing kinds of building elements, such as wall layers (materials).


Tags are bi-directionally associative with elements, and so editing a tag, such as changing the color of the exterior paint changes the color of the associated wall in the model.

Version Control. Under Open and Save, you can specify that the backup copies be saved to Google Drive. When you click Save, the model is saved locally and on Drive - under the account in which you are logged. Drive saves all versions of each file by the save date and time, giving you a history; the History column provides a type of version control. (See figure 5.) Keep in mind that free Dive accounts are limited to 15GB.


PDF Units. When importing PDF files, a scale ruler in the Import dialog box gives you an idea of the size of the drawing being imported, allowing you to adjust its units before import. Once imported, you can use DWG editing tools to convert the dumb geometry to ArchLINE walls and other smart elements.

Associative Grid. When entities like columns and beam are attached to architectural grids, they are associative. Move a grid line, and the attached elements move along.

Rendering Enhancements

I liked the custom touches the folks at CADline added to the rendering component of ArchLINE.XP 2020.

Seamless Patterns. The new Make Seamless Pattern function interactively crops a repeating image to make it look seamless, such as for wallpaper. The new Adding Color option retones the original texture with a color you select - an easy way to make variations of a pattern, like flooring.

Random Tiles. In ArchLINE, every tile is a solid object. A new function randomly rotates tiles, so that tiles look less artificial than when they all have the same orientation. (See figure 8.) The same can be applied to bump maps for materials, like leather for furniture.

Latest improvements:
- MEP piping stile save and activate.
- New factory styles for stair with support.
- Edit balustrade layout comes with new Ribbon bar menu.
- Text with new Rounded box.
- Lighting plan - connection from switches to lamps is available with Line, Arc, and TEXT (new) .
- By default, there is no drawing name on printing layout
- MEP Rect fittings library is completed with new item: Junction with horizontal offset.
ARCHLine.XP (the XP has nothing to do with the old version of Windows) is a 3D BIM modeling software, designed for projects in architecture and areas such as kitchen, bath and interior design.
You can create beautiful renderings both for the interiors and exteriors of the project. If your objective is to work with fully BIM oriented software, reducing the time and producing complete technical documentation from detailed, scaled drawings to rich, colorful images, ARCHLine.XP is the right choice for you.

The 2020 release of ArchLINE.XP enhances the way it documents BIM models - "documents" being the industry-wide term for generating and working with 2D drawings. These drawings can form the basis of a new 3D model, or else be extracted from a completed model.

ArchLINE.XP 2020 adds a number of nice little functions that users of other CAD softer might be interested in.
