Since Section Planes are grouped with objects, we want to make sure they behave like objects in terms of visibility per Scene. Before this change, only top-level visibility for Section Planes could be saved per Scene. Again, more control in your Scenes - and consistency. Winning!

Hidden Objects are now Editable
Good news...hidden objects are now editable. What does this mean, you ask? When you select a hidden object in the Outliner, instead of completely disappearing when you try to edit your object, it will appear as a mesh so you can more easily make edits. So keep on keeping on without any hinders to your editing workflow.

Improvements to Grips
A small, but powerful feature: you can now use the Rotate tool when toggling through ALL Grips - just like the Move tool! This provides more consistency between the tools so you can stay focused on your project.

Empty Objects
Picture this: you are working up a new table design and quickly add a lamp to make it look more realistic - but you run into an issue! You did it too fast and forgot to group your lamp and table separately. Because of this, everything is glued together as one, creating editing issues galore and wasted time. Fear no more! Now, you can right-click on an empty space and make a grouped object or component from scratch. No more triple-clicking, or drawing it elsewhere just to place it where you want it. And, an added bonus! When you create a new object from scratch, a window will pop up allowing you to name it right from the start. Say hello to better model organization from the very start of your project. Talk about speeding up your workflow!

Improved Select Tool
The Select Tool just got some major love. We wanted to help you make intentional - not accidental - moves with your crossing and window selection workflows. Now, when you click-drag to create a crossing or window selection, you won't mistakenly move anything! Previously, you may have accidentally moved an object when you really just wanted to change your selection. Now you're more likely to get the result you wanted. Also, selections and moves now occur when clicking on the actual object as opposed to the object's bounding box, strengthening that intentional workflow. If you're now wondering, "how do I move an object?" - no worries, we got you covered. Just pre-select an entity and move from there.

SIMetrix and SIMPLIS are separate simulators working within the SIMetrix development envionment that provides schematic entry, waveform capture and built-in scripting.

SIMetrix is a mixed-signal circuit simulator designed for ease and speed of use.

The core algorithms employed by the SIMetrix analog simulator are based on the SPICE program developed by the CAD/IC group at the department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Sciences, University of California at Berkeley. The digital event driven simulator is derived from XSPICE developed by the Computer Science and Information Technology Laboratory, Georgia Tech. Research Institute, Georgia Institute of Technology.

Although originally derived from these programs only a tiny fraction of the overall application code can be traced to them. Nearly all of the simulator code is either new or has been rewritten in order to provide new analysis features and to resolve convergence problems.

SIMPLIS is a circuit simulator designed for rapid modelling of switching power systems. An acronym for "SIMulation for Piecewise LInear System", it is supplied with our SIMetrix/SIMPLIS product range.

SIMPLIS is a component level simulator like SPICE but is typically 10 to 50 times faster when simulating switching circuits. It achieves its speed by modelling devices using a series of straight-line segments rather than solving non-linear equations as SPICE does. By modelling devices in this way, SIMPLIS can characterise a complete system as a cyclical sequence of linear circuit topologies. This is an accurate representation of a typical switching power system where the semiconductor devices function as switches. However, a linear system can be solved very much more rapidly than the non-linear systems that SPICE handles. The end result is accurate, but extremely fast simulations, allowing the modelling of complex topologies that would not be viable with SPICE.

SIMPLIS has three analysis modes: Transient, Periodic Operating Point and AC. Transient analysis is similar to the SPICE equivalent but is typically 10-50 times faster. Periodic Operating Point is a unique analysis mode that finds the steady-state operating waveforms of switching systems. AC analysis finds the frequency response of a switching system without needing to use averaged models. This is especially useful for what-if studies on new circuit topologies or control schemes where the small-signal averaged model has not yet been derived.

Because non-linear devices are defined using a sequence of straight line segments, models for such devices are quite different from SPICE models. There are of course many SPICE models available and so in order to retain compatibility with these, SIMetrix/SIMPLIS has the ability to convert models for some types of device into SIMPLIS format. This conversion is performed when the device is placed on the schematic. Devices currently supported are MOSFETs, BJTs and diodes. In the case of MOSFETs and Zener diodes, the conversion is achieved by performing a sequence of simulations using the SIMetrix-SPICE simulator. This method is independent of the method of implementation of the device.

This tutorial shows how to automatically load parts values from a text file using a built in feature of SIMetrix/SIMPLIS and also buy writing a custom script file for added flexibility.

Sigrity Executables no Longer Available in SPB Installation

This is an early notification for users who use Sigrity Aurora, Allegro IDA, Topology Explorer, or SystemSI products from Allegro schematic or layout editors. Starting with the Allegro Release 17.40-2019 QIR1 release that is scheduled to be released in May 2020, you will have to install both Sigrity 2019 HF1 or a later version and OrCAD and Allegro Release 17.40-2019 QIR1 or a later version to be able to use these products. This will ease your installation experience and ensure that you access the latest Sigrity features and enhancements from Allegro schematic or layout editors.

When you will install Sigrity 2019 HF1 or a later version, the SIGRITY_EDA_DIRvariable will be set to point to the installation location. This variable will be used by the Allegro schematic and layout editors to access the correct Sigrity 2019 installation when using Sigrity Aurora, Allegro IDA, Topology Explorer, and SystemSI products.

Easy access to COVID-19 info in your search box

Now you can quickly access timely, trusted information about the coronavirus pandemic using the search bar in Windows. Starting this week, you'll see a coronavirus info banner in Search Home.


Select View interactive map for fast access to the Bing COVID-19 Tracker, updated daily with the latest information both locally and around the globe. As you explore the tracker, you'll also see stories from each region, as well as contact info for local and national health resources. It's a comprehensive way to monitor the situation close at home and abroad.

You can also select See headlines on our COVID-19 module to launch the latest coronavirus news on MSN and explore news from across the country.

In challenging times like this, it's important to stay informed. This feature isn't specific to Insider Preview builds. So far, we've shipped this feature in 33 markets. If you'd like to dismiss it, select the X in the corner.

Control your music and audio from within the Your Phone app

We're excited to preview another exciting feature, which will allow you to control your music and audio apps from within the Your Phone app. Now you can access and control the audio apps playing from your phone directly within the app, without needing to split your attention between devices or breaking your workflow. Your audio tracks will remain in sync between your phone and PC, and you can switch between multiple sources using the dropdown in the player.

- Control your tracks from your PC, including play, pause, previous/next.

Audio player control requirements

- A PC running Windows 10 October 2018 Update or later. However, we always recommend updating to the latest version.
- Android phone running 7.0+.
- Apps that support media controls in their Android notifications. Some examples of popular apps that are supported include Spotify, Pandora, Amazon Music, Google Play Music, YouTube Music, Xiami Music, and Google Podcast.
- Show audio currently playing from my phone will be turned on by default in the Your Phone app settings if Your Phone Notifications permissions are granted.
- Individual audio apps require notifications permissions granted on your Android phone. Turn these on through Android Settings > Notifications > select the audio app > turn Notifications on.

Known issues

- Some audio apps support "Previous Track" and others may support "Rewind Track."
- YouTube video and Audible are currently not supported.

The feature is gradually rolling out, so it may take a few days to show up in the Your Phone app (YP version 1.20041.85 and YPC 1.20041.82.* or newer). We look forward to your feedback as we continue to test, learn, and improve the overall experience. You can give feedback within the Your Phone app under Settings > Send Feedback.
- If the Sync button under Settings > Time & Language > Time fails due to network connectivity, the error now tells you that's the issue.
Fixes
- We fixed an issue resulting in some Insiders experiencing bugchecks with error DPC WATCHDOG VIOLATION in the last few builds. This is also believed to be the root cause of some Insiders experiencing their PC frequently freezing.
- We fixed an issue while typing into the browser that could result in the Japanese IME unexpectedly being in Private mode even though the browser wasn't in inPrivate mode.
- We fixed an issue causing many Schannel errors to appear in the System event log.
- We fixed an issue resulting in some unexpected characters showing up in the text strings of intl.cpl's Additional Settings > Currency.
- We fixed an issue resulting in stordiag.exe crashing on launch if you tried to open it while running a repro mode trace while filing feedback under the "Disks and Storage" context in the Feedback Hub.
Known issues
- We're aware Narrator and NVDA users that seek the latest release of Microsoft Edge based on Chromium may experience some difficulty when navigating and reading certain web content. Narrator, NVDA and the Edge teams are aware of these issues. Users of legacy Microsoft Edge will not be affected. NVAccess has released a NVDA 2019.3 that resolves the known issue with Edge.
- We're looking into reports of the update process hanging for extended periods of time when attempting to install a new build.
- We're still investigating an issue where the Documents and Downloads sections under Privacy show a broken icon next to their page name (just a rectangle).
- We're investigating reports that the battery icon on the lock screen always shows close to empty, regardless of actual battery levels.
- We're investigating reports of IIS configuration being set to default after taking a new build. You will need to back up your IIS configuration and restore it after the new build is installed successfully.
- Quickly switching between WSL distros using the File Explorer integration could cause a transient access error. We've identified the cause of this issue and are releasing a fix soon.

After registering in the Windows Insider Program and installing your first Windows 10 Insider Preview build1, you will begin to receive updates to the device(s) you have enrolled. During the development process, the build number will change with each update.

The options for the frequency of Windows 10 Insider Preview builds are called "rings." Each ring presents a different level of stability and will be delivered on a different build cadence.

The benefit of being in the Fast Ring is that you will be among the first to use and provide feedback on new and improved features.
The benefit of being in the Slow Ring is that you'll still receive new updates and features on the Development Branch, but the builds will be more stable. Builds are sent to the Slow Ring after feedback has been received from Insiders on the Fast ring and analyzed by our Engineering teams.
Release Preview Ring - its if you want to be on the current public release of Windows 10 but still get early access to updates, applications, and drivers without taking the risk of moving to the Development Branch, the Release Preview Ring is your best option.

Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC Board Support Packages 2019.2 | 4.2 Gb

Xilinx, Inc., the leader in adaptive and intelligent computing, is pleased to announce the availability of Zynq UltraScale MPSoC Board Support Packages 2019.2 is a collection of libraries and drivers that will form the lowest layer of your application software stack.


Board Support Package (BSP) is the collective term referring to all of the software components required to match a given operating system (and its environment) to a given hardware design (board). BSPs commonly contain low-level operating system and device driver code that is dependent on the hardware and upon which the rest of the operating system layers. In addition, a BSP might also contain other files containing directives, compilation parameters, and hardware parameters that are used to configure the operating system. Since a given Xilinx hardware platform is configurable, fixed board support packages are not possible. Therefore, a custom board support package must be generated for each hardware design that you create.

SDK can be used to create board support packages for third-party operating systems that are supported on the Xilinx processors. The board support package appears as a project in the SDK Navigator view. You can configure each BSP project in various ways and then run a BSP generation process. The BSP generation process typically ends with a collection of files generated in the workspace, which you must then take into the third-party environment to proceed with building the operating system and applications. The specifics of what files must be collected and how they must be used depends on the third-party operating system in question.

This is a demonstration of our customized YOLOv2 on the Xilinx Zynq UltraScale+ MPSoC zcu102 board with a host PC. Its inference speed is around 40 FPS (Frames Per Second).

Additional columns you can include when you print folder list
When you print a file list, you can include standard file information like file name, extension, type, owner and attributes as well as executable file information (EXE, DLL, OCX) like file version, description, company.
Also multimedia properties (MP3, AVI, WAV, JPG, GIF, BMP) like track, title, artist, album, genre, video format, bits per pixel, frames per second, audio format, bits per channel can be listed.
Another set of columns you can print is for Microsoft Office files (DOC, XLS, PPT) so you can see document title, author, keywords etc. without opening these files one after another.
For each file and folder it is also possible to obtain its CRC32, MD5, SHA-1 and Whirlpool hash number so you can verify the file has not been modified.

Print files in folder - further customization
Extensive number of options allows you to completely customize the visual look of the output. You can set sorting for files and folders so they are always displayed as you want. You can define column order so the most important columns are immediately visible. International display format options allows you to adjust the output for your local needs. Listing can contain links to actual files and directories so you are able to put the listing on a web page with clickable contents.
HTML display style is fully customized - you can change background color, separate style for header, directory rows, odd and even file rows and for surrounding frame.
You can limit the files list by applying a filter for filename, date, size or attributes.
Directory Lister Pro can also be integrated into the context menu of Windows Explorer so you don't even need to open the application to generate listings.
Command line interface is supported for automated listings that can be run from Windows Task Scheduler.

Check folder size or find large folders
With Directory Lister Pro, you can also find out what is the given directory size, sort by folder size and check which folders occupy the most space on your disks. You can also find the largest files on your PC by using size filter options.
