YouTube By Click is a lightweight and straightforward software utility created to serve as the simplest means possible of downloading videos from popular websites, requiring only one button press to get the job done.


Clear-cut and intuitive usage
The application features a slightly cluttered yet accessible user interface, allowing you to customize its most important running parameters from the main window.

As such, you can easily define the output folder and format, then start grabbing movies or songs from the Internet, enabling you to watch them on your PC, even when you have no web connection.

Download videos from the web with little to no effort
By default, YouTube By Click automatically detects when you are watching a video in your browser, on one of the supported websites, namely Facebook, Vimeo, YouTube or DailyMotion and displays a popup dialogue which lets you download it to your PC.

The program lets you select the quality ('Best', 'Normal', 'Custom'), the preferred output format, be it video (MP4, FLV, AVI, WEBM, 3GP, WMV) or audio(MP3 or WAV), as well as the destination folder, so you can easily access them once the process is complete. In addition, it lets you open them in your default media player with a single press on the 'Play' button.

Nonetheless, the 'Auto Detect' feature can be disabled, if you have no use for it, or adjusted to suit your needs, from the 'Options' section of YouTube By Click. From this same location, you can login to one of your accounts in order to be able to download private videos, which are otherwise inaccessible.

SSL Security
Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) is a standard security technology for establishing an encrypted link between a server and a client. This layer protects your private information and keeps the data safe.

Password protection
In order to provide more security, it's possible to protect USB devices or the whole USB server by password. So, only authorized users will be able to access specified USB devices remotely.

Reversed device connections
Sometimes it's needed to initiate device connection from Server side to Client side. So instead of connecting remote USB device, end user can "push" the local USB device to the remote computer. The call-back connection feature is especially useful in case if the Server is behind a firewall or on a NAT network.

Per-interface sharing
There is a possibility of per-interface sharing for composite devices that usually contain several USB devices. For example, if you use the webcam with built-in speaker, it's no problem to share the webcam for remote access but leave the speakers for local use only.

What is Native Mode?
This is a special mode in which the first load specially prepared minimal kernel (without GUI) and works off a script that searches for media (DVD, USB-HDD) with an assembly and installs the "full" kernel.

+ Pros:

1. Fast loading on USB 1.x. Instead of conventional 5-10 min USB 1.2 - about 1 minute.
2. Less memory consumption (for Strelec assembly - less on ~ 250Mb).
3. Reduced CPU requirements (Native Mode kernel patched to work with the CPU starting from P4 / Athlon), scanning is disabled NX-Bit.

-Minuses:

1. Binding to the carrier (if extraction - PC "hangs").
2. Slower core work (because everything is loaded not from the fast RAM-disk, and c is a slow media). In practice, special "brake" is not felt.
3. For compatibility with older CPU is disabled and multi-core support PAE.

Note: On modern PC is better to use normal startup.

You can also use the application to subscribe to RSS feeds or to import your subscriptions from other programs such as Thunderbird. As the email messages, the news articles can be filtered by using advanced rules in order to display the items that you need to read.

In our tests, the program had little impact on the computer's performance even though it uses a significant part of the system memory.

Overall, Postbox is a useful email management tool which integrates multiple Gmail features and can be further improved by adding extensions. However, if you are not an exclusive Gmail user you are sure to find other solutions.
