CPUBalance is a lightweight tool that uses the company's ProBalance technology to monitor and prevent running processes from hogging the processor, in order to improve the system's response time. This application can be run standalone or along with Process Lasso, enhancing its existing ProBalance feature.
Monitor running processes to block CPU hogs
Following a speedy installation that shouldn't be difficult, CPUBalance gets integrated into the systray at startup, although it doesn't draw your attention. Also, it adds itself to the Windows autstart sequence to run automatically every time you turn on you computer.
As soon as it's fired up, the utility begins to keep an eye on your running processes, taking note of their activity, such as time of launch and process priority change. Clicking the tray icon brings up the main window, where you can view a list of all processes sorted by the restraint count.
Set process restraints and view detailed logs
This way, you can get a better idea of the programs that typically use more CPU. In addition to the restraint count, you can check out the name, frequency of actions, and last time of restraint. To prevent the program from affecting a process' priority, you can add it to an exclusion list from the right-click menu.
Furthermore, you can open the log to view extensive details about each action taken by CPUBalance, including the time, process name, action (e.g. ProBalance restraint ended, process priority temporarily lowered), more information, computer and user name, path, and command line. Filters can be applied if you're trying to locate a particular event. This log can be saved as a CSV file.
Set exclusions and change the CPU affinity during restraints
Returning to the main window, you can disable ProBalance from the menu or set it to disarm itself when the PC is idle, play sound on process events, manage excluded processes, disable core parking or lower I/O priority during restraint as well as allow or forbid the app from acting on system services, non-normal priority processes, foreground processes or children of foreground processes. Also, the CPU affinity can be changed during restraint.
Promising process manager for CPU-related events
All aspects considered, CPUBalance can become a reliable assistant for controlling the behavior of CPU-demanding processes, especially for users who frequently work with multiple applications at the same time. It ran smoothly on Windows 10 in our tests, and we're patiently waiting for a stable release of the product.

Dashcam Viewer is a software application for viewing movies, GPS data, and shock-sensor data recorded by your dashcam or action cam. Dashcam Viewer supports over 70 camera models. See below for the complete list of supported cameras and features.
Map Displays
Your vehicle's entire route and current position are displayed in an animated 2D map. The route line is color-coded based on the vehicle's speed. Click anywhere along the route to jump to that point in the video sequence. Choose between different map providers (Google, MapQuest) and themes (satellite, road, hybrid). Highlight important points in the route with Geotag markers.
Geotags
Geotags are custom markers you can drop at any point along your trip. They appear in the map and in the Geotags list view. Metadata such as the time, date, speed, latitude, longitude, street address, movie name, and movie time are stored with each geotag. Double-click a geotag in the Geotags List and you will jump instantly to that point in the video sequence. Geotags can be exported and imported for easy access.
Export GPS Data
Dashcam Viewer's Data Browser allows you to preview and export your GPS data in multiple formats, including comma-separated value (CSV), GPX, Google Earth KML, and GeoJSON. Portions of videos can be exported to short clips, with or without sound, at accelerated or decelerated playback rates. Still frames from videos can be exported to JPG, PNG, or BMP images individually or at a specific frequency.
Data Plots
Dashcam Viewer's Plot Views show a time history of your vehicle's speed, distance, and compass direction. For dashcams that record additional GPS data, the G-sensor (shock), vehicle altitude, number of GPS satellites in view, and horizontal dilution of precision (HDOP) are also displayed.
Audio Event Detection
Important events in the video series are often characterized by sudden changes in volume. For example, the sound of a collision or the sound of a horn can be heard against the normal driving noise background. Dashcam Viewer's Audio Event Detection can assist in locating key sound events in a series of videos.
Videos List
Loaded videos are shown in the Videos list. Videos that are uninteresting can be toggled off so they no longer appear in the video sequence and their GPS data is removed. To play a specific video simply double-click on it in the list. Additional information about each video is displayed alongside its filename, including file size, maximum vehicle speed, date, and time, is displayed in the list item.
Trip List
Dashcam Viewer bins videos automatically into trips. A trip is categorized as one or more contiguous videos that have no break between them greater than one minute. Dashcam Viewer then computes statistics for each trip. This includes the start date and time, duration of the trip, amount of time between trips, and the number of videos per trip.
Export & Merge Video
You can export whole videos or parts of videos into short clips or a series of images. Video clips can be exported with or without sound and at an accelerated or decelerated playback rate. Still frames can be exported to JPG, PNG, or BMP images individually or at a specific frequency. You also have the ability to merge multiple videos into a single large file. When merging, Dashcam Viewer will create a GPX file with the GPS data from the selected videos so that you can import that data back into Dashcam Viewer if needed.
Dashboard Display
Dashcam Viewer's dashboard display shows your vehicle's current metrics including position, speed, and compass heading. Speed can be shown in mph or km/h. The dashboard also shows the weather conditions at the time and location of the drive. For dashcams that support enhanced GPS data collection, Dashcam Viewer displays the altitude, number of satellites in view, and signal confidence. Choose from one of 19 compass pointer icons in the Pro version.

Conceptual Designers can use ARES Mechanical for creating quick sketches or technical drawings.
More generally, Designers can use ARES Mechanical to create detailed 2D mechanical drawings ready for production. ARES Mechanical meets the needs of a wide spectrum of technical drawing users.
Key Features of ARES Mechanical
As a first step you should consider to select a Mechanical Standard for your project. ARES Mechanical supports international standards such as ANSI Inch, ANSI Metric, BSI, DIN, ISO and JIS.*The chosen standard will activate pre-defined settings for your drawing in terms of styles, layers, frames and parts libraries.
Alternatively, ARES Mechanical is flexible enough to start a project without defining the standard. You would then make your choice from the part libraries when inserting your first components.
Companies can further define their own standards as copies and/or extensions of existing international standards.
Mechanical Parts
ARES Mechanical includes ready-to-use mechanical part-libraries such as: Bolts & Screws, Screw Connections, Nuts, Pins & Washers, Hole & Hole Table, Hole Callouts.
You will find these parts in the Toolbox ribbon of the Mechanical workspace. They are pre-configured and standardized based on the mechanical standard you have chosen for your project.
These smart entities will help you to speed up the design and make sure it is compliant with the chosen standard. They will also further be recognized for the creation of your BOM.
The Toolbox ribbon includes other mechanical features such as symbols for surface and welding; Balloons and Bill of Materials (BOM) and Revision Tables.
Mechanical workspace
We created a dedicated user interface optimized for Mechanical Design with quick access to all the features you need. The Mechanical ribbon highlights in the first tabs the top level features needed for a quick sketch of a new drawing.
In the Toolbox tab of this ribbon you will also find most of the mechanical features such as the part libraries, holes, screw connections, BOM, symbols and revision tables.
If you don't like ribbons, the "Classic" workspace is replacing the ribbon by menus and toolbars.
All the features of ARES Commander remain also available. If you are not working on a mechanical project you may simply switch to the "Drafting and Annotation" workspace for 2D or to the "3D Modeling" one for 3D.
Advanced users may also simply use keyboard commands with any of these workspaces.

Construction Lines
Construction Lines (vertical, horizontal or at a defined angle) are easy to maintain, they are on a predefined layer and can be switched on or off as and when required. They are easy to pick and can be combined with our Power Trim feature to help you accelerate your design.
Rectangle with dimension
ARES Mechanical includes some other smart features such as rectangles with dimensions. This feature would let you draw a rectangle and automatically add dimensions.
Predefined Hatches
Mechanical design conventions require that you use specific hatch patterns in the sections of your mechanical drawings. These hatch patterns help to standardize drawings and define the material of the elements.
You can now use Predefined hatches in your designs. Many commonly used hatch patterns are included, which can be further customized based on your requirements.
