SpeedCommander displays files and folders in the proven two window technology source and target of operations are therefore always visible. SpeedCommander offers you many options for copying and moving files.

Besides the usual deletion SpeedCommander has a secure deletion compliant to governmental standards. With the integrated Quick View SpeedCommander shows you the content of many files. Whether images, videos or music files - SpeedCommander gives you gain a quick overview of a file list. FileSync synchronizes folders, Document Search finds files and folders for files.

Simple tasks can be automated with macros. Macros can use the different objects of SpeedCommander too, also all script capable components ( eg several shell objects ) can be included . With the integrated macro editor edit the macros comfortable with a script debugger (like Visual Studio) can also be checked for errors.

SpeedCommander has a modern Add-In interface for additional extensions . An Add-In can provide commands that are invoked via the menu or the toolbars . Furthermore, an AddIn also has full access to the object model of SpeedCommander . It can , for example, Create, modify and access their content folder window. Via the interface for file system Add-Ins you can include other file systems into SpeedCommander .

SpeedCommander makes handling compressed files easy , because they are treated like folders . It provides direct support for many archive formats , so that you can unzip the main formats without need for further software . Using Compression profiles settings can be summarized , self-extracting archives make additional software superfluous independently . Recovery data offers protection against damage.

SpeedCommander supports various FTP types like FTP via SSH ( SFTP) and FTP over SSL. As a user, you have to decide before the connection on a protocol, everything else is done by Speedcommander transparent. The support for proxies was expanded. SpeedCommander supports Socks 4/4a/5 and HTTP Connect. Directory listing and file transfers performed at the request compressed ( MODE Z). An activatable bandwidth limitation restricts the transfer rate on whenever needed .

Pro version
With the Pro version of SpeedCommander you can put together burning projects and then burn the files and folders to CD, DVD or Blu-Ray. Previous sessions can be imported and continued. Also creating bootable media is possible. SpeedCommander Pro supports data projects in the formats ISO, UDF and ISO / UDF bridge.

Speed ??Commander Pro displays detailed information on the existing optical writing and reading devices as well as to empty and described optical media.
