FloTHERM uses advanced CFD techniques to predict airflow, temperature, and heat transfer in components, boards, and complete systems, including racks and data centers. It's also the industry's best solution for integration with MCAD and EDA software.
Mentor Graphics is pleased to introduce the latest version of FloTHERM 10.0. A major release that satisfies over 40 software enhancement requests posted on the Mentor IDEAS site. The Project Manager and Drawing Board application windows have been combined into a single Windows compliant interface, stage one of a full GUI update program. The CFD solver has been re-implemented resulting in substantial speed-ups ranging from an average of 2 to 3 times to over 10 times faster than previous versions. FloTHERM temperatures can now be exported in a form that is ready for interpolation onto FEA meshes to act as boundary conditions for a thermo-mechanical simulation in other FEA tools.
