Extraordinarily unique vocal performances are also included in this feature-rich sample library which raises the bar once again, featuring five complete arrangements for a Jazz trio and approaching 20 minutes of full and detailed Jazz tracks broken down into Construction Kits.
'Late Night Jazz Vol 2' sets a new standard for Jazz producers, featuring five complete arrangements for a Jazz trio. Tender pianos and rich double bass lines interact to create a deep and serious vibe.
Compositionally this pack is right at the top of the game, with beautifully voiced chords and melodies provided in multi-track format.
All of the vocal phrases were flawlessly performed by the hugely talented Lieve Geuens, in an entirely phonetic language created specifically for the purposes of this pack. What's more, on April 29th, 2014, Gregor Theelan, producer of 'Late Night Jazz 2' was nominated Soundclouder of the day on the Soundcloud website, based on his talented compositions and with a special mention for the track "Bossa Tristesse", from the "Late Night Jazz 2" collection.
All files are labelled to indicate which bars each loop occupies, so you can easily find the part you need. The inclusion of OMF files allows you to delve deep into the structure of each song and modiy them on the fly. About The Producer:
Gregor Theelen is a classically-trained composer with decades of experience in working with large orchestras in recording studios. When it comes to styles, Gregor is a Jack of all trades. He loves working in the classical field, Jazz is his passion and he will never have doubts about working on a House, Lounge, Rock, Funk or any other project, as long as there is room for sincerity, authenticity and experimentation. Besides this, he is a well known sound designer and connoisseur of old analogue synthesizers.
About The Vocalist:
Lieve Geuens hails from Antwerp, Belgium, but has lived and worked in Holland for many years, studying Jazz and Pop in the Conservatory, gaining accolades for her exceptional musical expression. Lieve has worked with Jazz bands and Brazilian bands in Holland, Belgium, and Germany and has toured with many bands, writing songs for herself and other musicians, including Mary Coughlan. Lieve has worked with many different artists, including George Moustaki, The Nits, Madeline Bell, and Brazilian musicians, like Ze Neto.
In recent years, Lieve has been singing Fado's, Arabic and Turkish songs in a theatre program, but finally began to sing more classically, as an opera singer in many productions in the Opera House of Amsterdam.
MIDI Files Included:
'Late Night Jazz Vol 2' includes MIDI files for the majority of musical phrases heard in each Kit, allowing you to seamlessly mix your favourite synths and samplers with the sounds contained in the pack.
Advantages of MIDI:
While the supplied ACID/Apple Loops content is extremely flexible and powerful, MIDI has the added benefit of allowing you to go to extremes of pitch and tempo beyond which the loops were originally recorded, with no time stretching or pitch shifting artifacts. Furthermore, you can make tweaks to the riffs so they fit perfectly into your existing mixes.
Unlooped Riffs/Tails:
This sample library also comes with unlooped/tail versions allowing you to end a phrase with the decay of the instrument, rather than relying on fade-outs or abrupt ends.
OMF Files:
With the included OMF files you can import each audio clip into your sequencer at precisely the right location, allowing you to re-structure the original song, or add your own complimentary instrumentation. A Cubase project file is also included for each Construction Kit.
