Bitsum developed ParkControl because core parking settings are hidden in Windows, but can make such a large difference on performance, particularly when there are bursting CPU bound loads (the most common type).

Core Parking
Core Parking is a sleep state (C6) supported by most newer x86 processors, and newer editions of Windows. Core Parking dynamically disables CPU cores in an effort to conserve power when idle. Disabled cores are re-enabled as the CPU load increases once again. This technology is very similar to frequency scaling, in that it seeks to throttle the CPU when idle.

The problem is that Window's default power profiles are configured far too aggressively when it comes to core parking, especially on workstations. Their interest was in conserving energy, even if this meant marginally decreasing performance. A number of complex parameters control when a core should be parked, and Microsoft tuned heavily towards power savings.

The core parking settings in Windows are implemented as parameters of power plans (aka power profiles). That means you can, for example, disable core parking for the High Performance power plan, but leave it enabled for other plans. And that is exactly the desired tweak for most users: disable parking only for high performance power plans.

Efficacy
Empirical evidence shows that disabling core parking can make a real difference in system performance. There are many factors that will determine how efficacious it will be for any given system, including the CPU type, application load, and user behavior. However, we find that Windows is often over-aggressive in its core parking, resulting in excess latency as cores are unparked to accommodate bursting loads (the most common type of CPU load).

In our tests, we've found AMD processors benefit most from disabling core parking. This is perhaps due to the dramatic difference in the way AMD processors share (hardware) computational resources between logical cores. Microsoft optimized for Intel's HyperThreading, which has much less capable secondary cores. AMD's secondary logical cores are near full CPUs.

YMMV, but if we didn't see real and substantial performance gains after disabling core parking, we wouldn't have authored this utility.

Safety
These tweaks are entirely safe for any PC that is constructed properly. The only way that they could possibly seem to cause some change in behavior is if the PC has overheating issues. In such an event, those issues would be seen regardless of these tweaks by simply placing a sustained high load on the CPU.

HitmanPro.Alert is a lightweight application able to monitor your browser activity and detect potential threats that may comprise system security. The tool was specifically built to add an extra layer of security to your system, in order to protect you whenever you shop on the Internet or perform online banking operations. It offers real-time PC protection against software exploits, drive-by downloads, crypto-ransomware, online fraud, and identity theft.

For instance, it can stop sandbox-aware malware by making the computer look like it belongs to a virus researcher, block crypto-ransomware (like CryptoLocker) by keeping local and shared files safe, or warn you when your webcam was silently turned on to watch you.

Keystroke encryption, process protection, network lockdown and USB blocker
Moreover, the program is able to encrypt all keystrokes to prevent keyloggers from hijacking your passwords, private messages and other sensitive information, prevent malware from infecting the main executable of a trusted process (e.g. antivirus), stop backdoor traffic by locking down the network, and block malicious USB devices that pose as a keyboard.

The software - the '3F' stands for 'fast, fun and friendly' - is intended to give concept artists and designers a more intuitive route into 3D modelling than conventional DCC software.

From the developer of Nvil : Rocket 3F shares a code base with Nvil - formerly known as VoidWorld - Kun Shi's existing modeling software, which also remains in active development.
Offering a highly customisable toolset and user interface, Nvil has been described by users as an extremely quick modeler, although time-consuming to set up.
Rocket 3F looks to preserve some of the unique features of Nvil, but with a workflow geared more towards artists who are new to 3D modeling.

Solid basis poly and sub-D modelling tools, plus a few interesting features
The software includes a standard basic range of tools for creating and editing polygonal and sub-D geometry, including a scene hierarchy and simple array, Boolean and instancing functionality.
More unusual features include the workflow, which is geared towards mouse or stylus-only input, and what Sarmadac describes as "absolutely unique" crease tools. There is also the option to display models in silhouette-only mode, which looks useful for concept design.

Rocket 3F also comes with bridging plugins to intuitive NURBS modeler MoI, voxel sculpting and retopology tool 3D-Coat, and Luxion's KeyShot renderer.
Feedback from early testers - this thread on The Foundry's forum dates back to the beta release - has been broadly positive, with criticism centering mainly around the visual style of the UI, which was described by one poster as having an "ice-cream shop look".
