The Prophet 5 was the first totally programmable synthesizer on the market. This revolutionary synth became the basis for all other polysynths to this day. The Prophet VS was the last synth made by SCI and again it set the synth world on its ear. Its digital vector synthesis brought a new soundscape that was then carried on in products from Korg and Yamaha.

The original prophet
While the Prophet 5 was known for its 2 oscillator analog warmth, the Prophet VS used four digital wave table oscillators giving a crystal and clear sound. We have recreated both of these classic machines to give them the detail heard in the originals.

From the starship funk lead lines of the '70s to the gangster whine of mid '90s hip-hop, the ever-present MiniMg has been making its fat presence known for over 4 decades.

In partnership with Bob Moog we recreated the legendary interface of his early 70's synth that was and is loved by generations of musicians. What truly makes this synth the Legend of Legends is its sound, and so we took great care to model the subtleties of its internal characteristics as well.

The massively powerful Oberheim Matrix-12 has been resurrected at last. Using our TAE™ modeling technology, we are able to recapture this beast of a synthesizer and bring it to you.

Making the model
Every point in the signal path is important when modeling the sound of such a revered instrument.
So to establish the proper foundation, we perfectly recreated the tonal characteristics of the original 2 oscillators and their waveforms in Matrix-12 V. And it was equally critical to capture every nuance of its 15 filter modes, so we kept at it until they had been modeled perfectly!
Another factor in defining the complex sound of the Matrix-12 was the amazing number of modulation sources and destinations it provided. This was a level of sophistication previously only available in a fully modular system.
So to complete the emulation we modeled these capabilities also, even surpassing them. With a nearly endless number of possible modulation routings in Matrix-12 V you can create sounds with highly organic qualities not found in other synthesizers.

The power of perfection
While the Matrix-12 was amazing in itself, we pushed it further by adding a new effects chain for further processing of the sound.
We also expanded the maximum number of modulation routings from 20 to 40, giving you even more creative freedom. Add to this the ability to control all the parameters via MIDI, and now you can do automations in a DAW or manually that could never be done before.

Like all Arturia vintage instrument homages, the Farfisa V is completely true to the original.
That's because rather than sampling, we use our proprietary physical modeling technology to recreate in software the exact sonic characteristics of the original under all circumstances. Press any button and it responds just like the hardware. It even looks like the original. If you ever wanted a Farfisa, this is a Farfisa.
Playing the Farfisa V is just like having the real thing -except this one doesn't have cigarette burns on the keys and will never break.

More than just an organ
The Farfisa V is what would happen if an organ and a synthesizer had a love child.
The original Farfisa already hinted at the synthesizers to come with features like key repeat and a rudimentary envelope. The split keyboard option let you assign either one or two of the lower octaves to a separate bass sound. There was also a cool knee lever that manually controlled a filter, like an early version of a wah. (Of course, you can map that to the controller of your choice on the Farfisa V.) We've taken our modern version way beyond all that, though.
Pop the hood of the Farfisa V and you get tons of extra creative options like the ability to design your own additive waveforms, select new waves for the bass section, set offset filters, customize the envelopes to shape your tone, and more. Keeping your files and folders organized becomes easier when aided by third-party solutions. WinExt is an app capable of locating and removing duplicate files to free up space, identifying large resources to help you figure out what's taking up so much space, monitoring directories for file operations, and more. Wrapped in a clean and intuitive interface, the program has options neatly organized in different areas, so you can quickly access duplicates, sizes, recent or Windows activity, batch operations, sync modes, as well as program settings.

Find and remove duplicate files
Intricate details can be added about the file searching procedure. For example, you can ask WinExt to look into specific drives or folders, or to search the entire hard disk. Moreover, filters can be established for the file size and type.

On scan completion, the tool reveals the total scanned objects and found duplicates, duration, and other data. It's possible to save results to file, send items to the Recycle Bin or just move them to a different place, and inspect file properties.

View largest resources and recently accessed files
The sizes section displays the dimensions of all drives, directories and files. After scanning all items, the largest ones are surfaced, giving you the opportunity to analyze them and figure out whether or not they're worth keeping.

The recent area is filled with information surrounding the last accessed files, including name, full path, size, access times, type, and date of last modification. If you're not sharing your PC with someone else, this feature of WinExt can help you find out what files are being accessed by Windows. Speaking of Windows, its activity can be examined to see what and where files are being created, edited or deleted.

Run batch operations and sync data
Certain types of operations can be performed in batch with the help of WinExt. For example, you can send items to the Recycle Bin, permanently remove them from the computer, and copy or files to a common location.

The sync feature comes in handy for moving files back and forth between two folders until the folder contents are identical. This action can be made once (manually) or recurring (automatically, at a fixed time frequency).

Scan operations were quickly performed in our tests on Windows 10. However, WinExt failed on many occasions to correctly identify duplicate files, returning empty results pages instead. Also, it was stuck in loading mode for a very long time after accessing the activity section.

PFC (Particle Flow Code) is a general purpose, distinct-element modeling (DEM) framework that is available as two- and three-dimensional programs (PFC2D and PFC3D, respectively). PFC Suite includes both PFC2D and PFC3D.

PFC models synthetic materials composed of an assembly of variably-sized rigid particles that interact at contacts to represent both granular and solid materials. PFC models simulate the independent movement (translation and rotation) and interaction of many rigid particles that may interact at contacts based on an internal force and moment. TAL-Sampler is not just a sample player. It's a full featured analog modeled synthesizer with a sampler engine as sound source, including a powerful modulation matrix and a high quality self-oscillating 24/12/6 dB low pass filter. Don't expect a 40GB piano sample library with samples for every velocity or something similar. The idea is to bring back the fun sampling was in the good old times with small samples, fast loading times and an intuitive work-flow to create your own sample presets without getting lost in the settings.

It's possible to choose between different digital analog converters (DAC's) to get the vintage sound of different hardware samplers inside your DAW. We don't make cheap bit crushing or decimation on the output signal. We really down-sample the sample to the desired sampling frequency, then process the data depending on the chosen DAC and up-sample it to the desired pitch. Most DAC modes offer a LEVEL slider. This feature allows the user to reduce the volume of the recorded sample and decreases the sample quality. Load your favorite high quality sample and make it sound vintage and noisy. The 24dB low pass filter will like it!

The plug-in has four layers an can play four samples simultaneous. There is also a simple SFZ import for samples that imports the mapping and sample paths, but the plug-in also contains an easy to use mapping editor.

TAL-Sampler is available in the VST, Audio Unit and AAX plug-in format. You can load and play your own samples in every common sample format (*.wav, *.aiff, *.aif, *.mp3, *.ogg, *.flac). Import samples with drag & drop from finder or explorer. There is also an intuitive sample browser that helps to find samples fast.
Some nice additions like a vintage real-time time stretcher and the possibility to modulate or automate the sample loop positions.
