Prevent Disk Sleep is designed to block your USB, primary, secondary hard disk drive from going into sleep mode.

Your machine's hard disks enter into sleep mode during periods of inactivity to allow for system life-extending operations such as disk cooling. Prevent Disk Sleep circumvents sleep mode enabling quick disk response to any file operations even in the event of an extended period of idle time. This process of keeping your HDD awake can be done manually but Prevent Disk Sleep makes it simple by allowing you to create a schedule in a plain text document for the (internal or external) disk of your choosing.
Prevent Disk Sleep comes in a simple UI that permits a quick setup and deployment. Simply choose the disk you want to prevent from sleeping from the drop-down menu, choose the disk write interval, reassign the text file name for quick reference and then click Start. That's it, so if you are looking for a less involved way to prevent your disk from sleep mode rather than manually changing your machine's settings for whatever reason, this will work.

BitTorrent is a peer-to-peer file sharing (P2P) communications protocol.
