MKVToolNix is a small collection of tools (mkvmerge, mkvinfo, mkvextract, mkvpropedit and mmg) that allows you to manipulate Matroska (MKV) files in several ways.

You can use MKVToolNix to create, split, edit, mux, demux, merge, extract or inspect Matroska files. The program will also work with other video formats (AVI, MPEG, MP4, MPEG, Ogg/OGM, RealVideo, MPEG1/2, h264/AVC, Dirac, VC1) including some video codecs (such as VP9 video codec support - reading from IVF/Matroska/WebM files, extract to IVF files), audio (AAC, FLAC, MP2, MP3, (E)AC3, DTS/DTS-HD, Vorbis, RealAudio) and also most subtitle formats (SRT, PGS/SUP, VobSub, ASS, SSA etc.).

PilotEdit is a file editor that will help you search and replace multi line text, edit FTP files or even and upload FTP files and directories. With PilotEdit file editing just became easier. PilotEdit is an advanced text and hex editor that supports opening of files larger than 4GB. It offers customizable syntax and keyword highlighting, advanced search and replace operations, automatic text encoding, 256-bit AES encryption/decryption, and a built-in FTP client lets you open, edit and upload files directly to/from an FTP server.All the program's functions are displayed using a single window. The app's workspace is divided in three smaller windows. The first provides access to the files and folders stored in your computer. The second lets you view and edit the text, while the third is an output window where you can see the program's messages for different actions.

Longer fields
Some fields are longer.
In version 6 names and locations can be 100 characters.
In version 7 names can be 110 characters and locations can be 120 characters.
Edit screen
The Edit screen in 7 looks like the one in 6.6 except in 7 the Marriage event can go above the Died and Buried events (unless you set the option to turn that off.)
In 7 if you delete someone, that BK number is automatically reused (unless you set the option to not reuse numbers.)
Longer notes
In version 7 the Internal Textfile can be any size.
More People
In version 6 you can enter 10 million people.
In version 7 you can enter 100 million people.
Other
Version 7 does not use Btrieve for the database. Some users have had trouble with Btrieve or wbtrv32.dll and this version will work better for them.
Version 7 can convert your existing data from version 6
Version 7 prints reports in the same manner as 6.6 does currently.

The new Descendant Circle Chart will quickly show you a summary of descendants. The starting person is in the middle. Imagine a Box chart with the left side bent up to the top of a circle. The person who would be at the far left of the Box chart will be at the top of this circle chart, with siblings going counter-clockwise. This sample chart shows 5 generations, but you can print up to 10 generations.
