-Opening an empty project on a different platform does not bring up the scratch disk dialog box.

Using a combination of drum synthesis/samples and the built-in pattern sequencer to trigger beats already made Punch a unique drum machine and loved by many upon its first release!.

Now, by adding even more drum synthesis models, and introducing a totally new main screen which allows you to quickly create new drum kits, Punch-2 continues its legacy to be a cutting edge drum machine... but with lots of extra added punch!

B.I.T. stands for Back In Time. Instead of combining the best of analog modeling with hybrid synthesis, which we can see with the other Rob Papen synthesizers, B.I.T. focuses on Analogue Modelled Synthesis.

Why this move you might think? The idea behind it is that the classic analog type of synthesis has its own charm and simply has not yet been covered by the Rob Papen brand. So, no spectrum waveforms, or samples inside B.I.T. nope, it is pure 'Analogue Modelled' synthesis.
Although B.I.T. has no patch cables, it is modular by all means! The Modulation Matrix is used for the patching, however, also included is the smart 'advanced' panel below the Oscillators. With these advanced features (accessed by switching the ADV switch), you can quickly make several connections such as LFO and Envelope to the Oscillator parameters inside of B.I.T.

Also included is the option to modulate Oscillator 2 by Oscillator 1 in several ways which expands the sound pallet with Phase Modulation, Frequency Modulation, and Ring Modulation.
A Rob Papen synthesizer would, of course, be incomplete without the arpeggiator (which can also work in sequencer mode), so a fully-featured Arp is available and has an additional free row that you can use to modulate other parts of B.I.T. by using the Modulation Matrix.

Adding the finishing touch on B.I.T. is, of course, the FX section. Some superb sounding FX are added.
Our top-notch Reverb is also included inside B.I.T. which means you won't have to go outboard for adding reverb.
As previously mentioned B.I.T. stands for 'Back In Time' however it can also mean 'Be Inspired Today' whilst using our Analogue Modelled Synthesizer.

Following hot on the heels of the legendary TR-808, Roland Cloud is proud to bring you the software adaption of one of the most recognizable instruments in electronic dance music, the TR-909 Rhythm Composer! Analog-Digital Hybrid, Before It Was Even a Thing.

In 1983, Roland followed the massively influential TR-808 with the TR-909. Only around 10,000 were made, but the influence of this machine is heard, and felt, to this very day. Digital samples of "real drums" had become fashionable, but these sounds were not tweakable and, let's be honest, still didn't sound like real drums. So, Roland took a hybrid approach that used analog circuitry for the kick, snare, hi-hat, clap, and toms, and used digital sampling for the cymbals. The result was one of the most beloved and influential musical instruments ever made. It's the sound you hear in your head when you think of speaker-pummeling, floor-shaking dance music.

Utilizing the same ACB (Analog Circuit Behavior) modeling as the Roland JUNO-106, JUPITER-8, and others from our Legendary series, the virtual TB-303 captures the hypnotic tone of the original hardware and forms the perfect complement to the TR-909 and other instruments in Roland Cloud.

Like the Roland TR-808 and its influence on hip-hop, the TB-303 played an essential role in the development of the late '80s-early '90s rave culture. It is safe to say electronic music as we know it would not exist without this unassuming musical device. The 303 hooked producers with its ability to continually shapeshift and transform grooves in real time. There hasn't been anything like it since, and now it's yours to enjoy as part of a Roland Cloud subscription.

Some instruments are so groundbreaking, they create entire musical genres-the electric guitar and the Hammond organ being shining examples. Roland's TB-303 is one of these influential instruments, but it wasn't always seen that way. When Roland released the TB-303 Bass Line in 1981 it was marketed as a computerized bass machine to simulate a traditional bass guitar. However, as its unique history has shown, inventive electronic musicians soon discovered the 303. They often came across one second-hand; and, these creative musicians found a world of uses for the little silver box and its recognizably fluid low end.
