Jam Night: Volume 3 features 10 new series of lessons, each themed to a popular progression used in a popular jam tune, and each series teaching two rhythm approaches and two approaches for soloing and improvisation over that progression.

The 10 progressions and grooves are patterned after the Beatles' While My Guitar Gently Weeps and Come Together, Steve Cropper's work on Hard to Handle, Bad Company's Can't Get Enough, Muddy Waters' Hoochie Coochie Man, T-Bone Walker's immortal classic Stormy Monday ala The Allman Brothers, Allman's cover version of Junior Wells' blues classic You Don't Love Me, Rolling Stones' Wild Horses, Grateful Dead's Casey Jones and Goin' Down the Road.

Working with Andy's Jam Night series will equip you with the three most important skills you'll need to take to the jam stage; command of the popular song list, a diverse rhythm guitar vocabulary, and the ability to improvise fresh solos over popular song progressions.

Command of the Popular Song List: There are really only a handful of songs that are called over and over again at the local jams - they're the 'standards' of rock and popular music. You don't need to learn them note-for-note like you would for a cover, but you do need to be familiar with their basic structure.

Diverse Rhythm Guitar Vocabulary: You'll be playing a lot of rhythm guitar at the jams. The better your rhythm chops, the more you'll get asked to the stage because EVERYBODY loves to play with a strong rhythm section. Again, while your rhythm parts might be inspired by the original recorded version - you MUST bring some originality and diversity to the bandstand to keep things interesting over what could be a 15-minute jam on that song.

Improvising Over Popular Progressions: Jam songs are selected because they're familiar to players and audiences alike, AND they provide an interesting and very jam-friendly progression to play over. Your blues chops will certainly be helpful BUT they won't take you all the way there. You MUST be able to navigate your improvisations through a variety of other 3- and 4-chord progressions.

For each of these 10 popular jams, Andy will first overview the vibe, structure and progression of the tune. He'll then demonstrate and breakdown two rhythm guitar approaches, and then two lead guitar approaches - 20 rhythm approaches and 20 lead approaches in all.

Everything is tabbed and notated, plus you'll get all of the rhythm tracks to work with on your own.

Blackmagic Design announced Fusion 16 Studio Beta 3. Last major release version 16 present all of the improvements made to Fusion built into DaVinci Resolve available to VFX artists using the stand alone version of Fusion Studio.

Blackmagic Fusion 16.0b3 - Release Notes:

About Fusion 16 Studio. Fusion 16 Studio is actually the successor to 2017's Fusion 9 Studio - the hike in version numbering seems to have been to bring it in line with DaVinci Resolve.

Blackmagic Design's press release describes it as "the biggest update we've ever released for Fusion software" - although in practice, the features aren't entirely new, just new to the standalone edition.

The update rolls out the changes the firm to the Fusion compositing toolset when it was incorporated inside DaVinci Resolve 15 last year.

As well as an "updated and more modern user interface" - a mixed blessing, judging by early user feedback - that means expanded GPU acceleration.

All 3D operations are now GPU-accelerated, along with key features including time effects, dissolves, vector motion blur and stereoscopic 3D and colour tools.

GPU processing now supports Nvidia's CUDA and Apple's Metal APIs as well as the open standard OpenCL, which should improve performance on those companies' hardware.

Existing OpenCL add-ons will need to be rewritten before they work with the new architecture.

There are also more general performance improvements - Blackmagic Design's announcement singles out planar and camera tracking, and mask operations - and improved memory management on large comps.

The old free edition of the software, which worked on footage up to UHD resolution, has now been discontinued, although most of the tools are still available in the free edition of DaVinci Resolve.

Fuse Audio Labs was founded in 2017 by Reimund Dratwa who has an experience of many years working for different big names in the audio business during which he created dozens of renowned analog modeling titles. It was initially intended as an engineering company that works for various partners, but it soon became apparent that it could also serve as a channel for our own ideas and allow us to pursue our vision. The same expertise that went into the aforementioned products goes into everything that we create.

The VCL-373 is a recreation of an early 60s broadcasting compressor. It includes a faithful emulation of the audio circuitry and adds some convenient features in the digital domain.

The F-59 is a recreation of the late '50s classic that set the course for decades of guitar amplification technology. A cab emulation and a linear level control have been added for more versatility.

The TCS-68 was made to pay homage to one of the most iconic cassette tape based 8-track recorders including a faithful recreation of the preamp, the tape system and the EQ.

The Bucket-500 is an authentic emulation of a bucket brigade (BBD) based analog delay circuit with some convenient features added in the digital domain.

The VCL-4 is a faithful emulation of the op amp based successor of the classic late 60s opto leveler. Unintrusive to extreme opto compression with switchable ratio.
