Database Import

Yes, you can import data directly from a Client database like Microsoft Access or a Server database like Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle direct into SimplexNumerica (with the help of a comfortable inbuilt wizard).

The picture to the right shows a report that was generated immediately from a SQL Server database. You can also trending data and refreshing database data in all available charts.

Microsoft Excel Import / Export

Like Excel, the inbuilt spreadsheet in SimplexNumerica can perform formula-based calculations and many other mathematical functions. It has inbuilt algorithm (like FFT) that can be used directly in the spreadsheet, too. The results can be saved (exported) in an Excel file (*.xls or *.xlsx).

You can also import your data directly from an Excel file (*.xls or *.xlsx) into a similar SimplexNumerica spreadsheet. The Import Wizard examines the Excel file (or text file, like *.CSV) that you are importing and helps you ensure that the data is imported in the way that you want.

Inbuilt Scripting Ee (angelscript)

The inbuilt scripting languages of SimplexNumerica is based on AngelScript. AngelScript is a scripting library designed to allow applications to extend their functionality through internal and with the help of SimplexIPC to external scripts.

AngelScript is a scripting language with a syntax that's very similar to C++. It is a strictly typed language with many of the types being the same as in C++. Please have a look to the documentation. It will explain some concepts of how to use AngelScript in general, but a basic knowledge of the language will be needed to understand all of the concepts.

There's a big difference between masking for compositing vs. selective adjustments. Topaz Studio focuses entirely on selective adjustments, and we think of it as a central feature of the product instead of an add-on. As you'll see, this led to many design decisions intended to shorten the amount of you spend refining your mask, like including edge awareness in each masking tool in Studio.

Select different parts of your image by painting directly on it. Topaz Studio's brush is edge aware by default. This means you can quickly paint over your selection without having to worry too much about staying between the lines. This is the fastest and most direct way to selectively apply an effect to your image.

Emphasize a certain subject in your photo with the edge-aware spot tool. The spot tool is a quick way to draw attention to a certain subject in your your image. Since it is edge- and color-aware, you don't need to worry about refining your mask too much.

Gradually level off your effect with the gradient tool. Topaz Studio's gradient tool is unique in that it's also adjustably context-aware, which creates much better masking experience. Create a mask targeted at the different colors in your image. Window Inspector is an amazing application that can view the window class, text, properties and more, simply by moving your mouse cursor over a target window!

Use Window Inspector's built-in hotkeys to freeze the info, save to a file or lock on a window so you can see its properties chag in real. Browse through the parent/child or owner/child window hierarchies per-process and see all the windows associated with an application. Double-click any window in the tree-view to see its detailed properties, icons and more.We didn´t need to make any advanced configurations when installing Window Inspector. All we needed to do was follow the simple on-screen instructions to complete the process.

Moving the cursor over a window was enough to display information about it. From the program itself, we could see a tree view of the windows on the desktop. We got more information about a window by expanding it, which displayed names in full. The program displayed all details on its main interface. We could choose to display everything or only the parent root.

The program featured built-in hotkeys that we used to perform various functions. For example, we locked the program to a specific window whose properties we wanted to view in real . We could also freeze the details displayed or save them to a file.

We used the program to view the processes running on our system instead of resorting to the Task Manager. It also included features that were not available from the Task Manager.
