Apply project scope management techniques BSBPMG409 What you'll learn

Develop an understanding of Scope Management and requirements to manage the scope of the projects. This course also contains the required knowledge for the unit: BSBPMG409 - Apply project scope management techniques

Requirements

No prior knowledge is required, Project Management Fundamentals is recommended

Description

Projects are the way of doing business and organisations need skilled people who can manage them and operate effectively in a project environment. As more organisations adopt Project Management as the tool for the implementation of work, these skills are becoming ever so in demand.

Understand and Apply Scope Management.

This program has been drawn from International Project Management Best Practice and developed to meet the requirements of the relevant unit of competence within Nationally Recognised Certificate IV in Project Management Practice in Australia.

This course is delivered in a practical real world context and whilst it is supported by theory it focusses on delivering the practical skills you can apply directly to your projects.

If you are managing projects, working in a project team or affected by projects in one way or another this course is for you. You will gain a practical insight into scope management exploring the following:

Introduction into Scope Management:

Key Terminology and the importance of Scope Management
Factors which impact Scope
The Project Management Plan and other documents

How to Identify Project Scope

How to review an initiation document
How to set objectives
Validating the problem/opportunity
Tools to explore the project potential

How to Define the Project Scope

The importance of a clear scope
Developing your baseline
Making it measurable
Practical tools for scope definition

How to Navigate the Approvals Process

How to identify approval requirements
Tips for getting your project approved
The Business case
Understanding and defining hold points

How to Control the Project's Scope

Understanding and minimising Scope Creep
Maximising value and managing the cost of change
Applying simple but effective change controls

How to Verify and Close-Out Scope Management

How to monitor Scope Performance
How to communicate non-conformances
How to Close-out and Review Scope Management

At the end of this program you will have a practical, working understanding of how to manage the scope of the Project. By completing the activities, you will have met most of the requirements of the Nationally Recognised unit: Apply Scope Management Techniques (BSBPMG401) as part of the Certificate IV in Project Management.

The reason for developing the course

I found that the resources provided to many students undertaking studies in Project Management were lacking. They were either;

too theoretical, which prevented students applying it to their workplaces;

not engaging, such as books or PDFs;

hard to understand: using complex language to illustrate otherwise simple concepts; or

incorrect, usually written by people without a true and practical understanding of the subject.

Online learning is difficult- I know, I am the worst online student. As a result, I have designed this course to provide students with an additional resource to enhance their understanding of the topic. The course is based upon strong theoretical foundations, but delivered in a practical way- so you can apply what you learn to better your projects.

I have also tried to make the course engaging using a mix of visual and auditory delivery accompanied by tasks which you can use to test your knowledge and apply the concepts. I have also tried to approach the subject in a casual way, which will hopefully make it a fun learning experience.

I have tried to keep the language to its simplest form, explaining industry words as I progress through the course. This will enable you to understand the vocabulary used in Project Management, without being confused by it.

Who this course is for:

This course has been designed for those; new to project management, working in project teams or a project environment or managing small to medium scaled projects. This course is highly recommended for anyone studying the Certificate IV in Project Management Practice (BSB41515)

По умолчанию Git Essentials Git For Everybody

Genre: eLearning | Language: English | Size: 1.46 GB

Welcome to Git for Everybody! (Git Essentials), the updated version for the modern web developer.
This is a course that will teach you everything you need to know about working with Git and GitHub.
By the end of this course you will have the knowledge and confidence you need to work in a team.
I've worked with several teams over the years and everything you'll learn in this course is what I tend to use almost every day and certainly every week. Here's the rough outline of everything you'll learn in this course:
How to use Git on the command line (pro tip: it's more important to learn Git from the command line first than it is to learn how to use a visual tool. Servers don't have visual programs)
Installing Git on Windows, Mac and Linux
How to configure Git on your computer, and add your SSH key
Creating, cloning and adding files to a GitHub repository
Managing files, commits and branches ⭐️
How to merge branches into other branches ⭐️⭐️
How to view old files from an older time
Viewing file differences and how to ignore certain file types
Forking repos (repositories) ⭐️⭐️⭐️
How to work on GitHub by:
Creating custom branches and tags
Opening and managing GitHub issues
Opening and managing pull requests
How to undo a little work, and a lot of work
How to rebase ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
How to work through merge and rebase conflicts ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
And much much more!
Plus we'll work through lots of real life examples together and get you hands on experience with all of this by creating your own repositories, forking my repo, and even safely opening a pull request on my work for some seriously hands on experience (because Git is better learned by doing).

По умолчанию How to Get a Job as a Front End Web Developer The Complete Step-by-Step Guide

Video: .MP4, 1280x720, 30 fps | Audio: AAC, 44.1kHz, 2ch | Duration: 1h 44m
Genre: eLearning | Language: English | Size: 687 MB

*** If you're interested in becoming a front end web developer, this course IS for you! ***
This course is the result of a web development job study I did and I ended up getting 12 interviews in 12 weeks. Yes, I'm serious. Of those 12, most of them offered me a job and in the end I was able to pick which company I wanted to work for.
The goal was to learn what skills companies are actually looking for, and I found those... and much much more. I found a formula for getting interviews quickly.
I even had The City (that I live in) interview me. Twice!
This course goes over everything I did, in a simple step-by-step guide. You'll learn:
How to find what skills are ACTUALLY in demand in your city
How to filter the noise and bad advice in Facebook groups
The REAL truth about React and Bootstrap
The REAL skills you need to get a job as a front end web developer
If you REALLY need a GitHub account and a portfolio website
How to NOT get stuck on small things (hint: stop being a perfectionist, it's holding you back)
How to find companies that are hiring in your city
Why remote jobs are NOT as awesome as people think
How to apply for your first job
How to manage your first interview
How to manage your nervousness in interviews
How to get TONNES of interviews. I got 12 interviews in 12 weeks.
How to negotiate your salary and how to deal with the dreaded "how much money do you want?" question
What companies are REALLY looking for (hint: it's not what you think)
Can't get any interviews? There's a lesson on how to climb out of that hole
Soft skills vs. technical skills -- which should you focus on?
How to get a job by making friends
What to do once you land your first web development job
This course is action-orientated. If you are willing to do the work, this course WILL work for you and get you a job soon.
You will learn about some nasty truths about getting an interview in any industry and how to handle them. Don't get discouraged when somebody doesn't call you back.
But most importantly, you'll learn the secret to always having a job in web development. Actually, it's not a secret, it's just something nobody openly talks about.
If you're serious about getting a job as a front end web developer then this course is definitely for you.
The new an improved version of this course can be found below. The new course includes updates for 2019-2020 and focuses on web development (frontend and backend), whereas this course is strictly frontend.

Cloud services have redefined the IT world. The major players in IaaS (Infrastructure as a service) have emerged as Amazon, Microsoft and Google.

These three cloud services share many features, but they also each possess their own strengths. Our course will cover the basic concepts you need to learn to have a frame of reference to build your knowledge of Azure.

In this course we will cover the basics of cloud services, the core components of the Azure flavor of cloud, and a few basic examples of how companies are using Azure today.

By the end of the course you will be able to name the core services offered by Azure, explain why companies commonly choose to use cloud services, and why companies specifically decide to use Azure.

If you find you don't quite understand something, that's okay. These skills take years to build, for now you only need to be familar with the sound of these new words and their basic concepts.

Congratulations on starting down a new path. These cloud services form the backbone of the way our information dependent world works. Even if your interest in the subject is passing you should find the knowledge gained here valuable. And it will give you insight into how much goes into giving users information on-demand.

По умолчанию Linux Academy - Blockchain Essentials

MP4 | Video: h264, 1280x720 | Audio: AAC, 44.1 KHz, 2 Ch
Genre: eLearning | Language: English | Duration: 92 Videos ( 16h 39m) | Size: 6.58 GB

Greetings! Welcome to this Linux Academy's Blockchain Essentials course. Blockchain has become a buzzword throughout the decade and has enticed many computer, math, and business enthusiasts, as well as the general public. Most people have heard about it because of the cryptocurrency Bitcoin. Blockchain is a revolutionary technology that has offered the world a new way of performing transactions of assets (not just money) of various kinds. It has also given us a new perspective on how to resolve certain issues related to these transactions, and how to implement different principles. If you wish to learn, in depth, the mechanics behind blockchain, to understand the protocols it uses, and to explore its many applications, then this is a course for you. You will be given a thorough introduction to what blockchain really is, and what is important to know in order to grasp it. You will learn what mathematics are behind it and what kind of algorithms and protocols can be used to implement a blockchain of some kind. And there are a lot of them!

If we retrace some of the events that lead to the creation of blockchain, we can go all the way back to 1962 when Paul Baran wrote a paper about distributed communications networks. In 1982 an interesting thought problem was posed called the Byzantine Generals Problem. It looked for a practical way of achieving communication and consensus between entities, despite the existence of attackers or faulty entities. A solution was given in 1999 with the formulation of the Practical Byzantine Fault Tolerance (PBFT) algorithm. Then in 2009 the first ever implementation of the algorithm was given, in the form of the Bitcoin blockchain.

We will start the course off with the basics: the concept of blockchain and the important terminology you need to comprehend in order to really understand what we are talking about. One way we can define a blockchain is by saying that it is a decentralized mechanism that establishes a consensus for past and current transactions, divided into blocks. From a developer's perspective, we can say that a blockchain is a type of data structure. Later, we will dig deep into the underlying architecture of blockchains, and the many consensus mechanisms that can be used to run a blockchain. Be prepared to get into the mathematics of how hashing algorithms work, and what they are based on. Prime numbers play an important role in the blockchain world. There will be individual sections dedicated to these consensus mechanisms and mathematical principles. We will also examine the structure of the Bitcoin and Ethereum blockchains, so that we can learn their fundamental similarities and differences. As the course progresses you will see how blockchains can be used for so many different things and situations, not just cryptocurrencies. There will be a section dedicated to these use cases as well.

Some say that blockchains are the future, and that they will be used progressively more and more. They are likely to make an impact in the way we trade assets, store assets, conduct food safety regulation, record patient information in healthcare, perform supply chain management, vote in elections and much more. Join us in this interesting course and dive into the world of blockchain.

Python Basics

Description

Network programming has always been a demanding task. With full-featured and well-documented libraries all the way up the stack, Python makes network programming the enjoyable experience it should be.

Starting with a walk-through of today's major networking protocols, throughout this course, you'll learn how to employ Python for network programming, how to request and retrieve web resources, and how to extract data in major formats over the web. You'll utilize Python for emailing, using a variety of protocols, and you'll interact with remote systems and IP and DNS networking. The connection of network devices and configuration using Python 3 will also be covered.

As the course progresses, socket programming will be covered, followed by how to design servers and the pros and cons of multithreaded and event-driven architectures. You'll develop practical client-side applications, including web API clients, email clients, SSH, and FTP These applications will also be implemented through existing web application frameworks.

This course is ideal for Python developers or system administrators with Python experience who are looking to take their first steps in network programming.

Python developers who are interested in going deeper into packages related to asynchronous programming would also benefit from this course. A basic knowledge of Python programming is recommended.

This is the first course of the series, which will help you master the basics of the network programming before moving on to more advanced courses.

In this course we will cover the following:

Network Programming with Python

This course will focus on writing programs for networks that use the Internet Protocol (IP) suite. Why have we chosen to do this? Well, out of the sets of protocols that are supported by the Python standard library, the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP)/IP protocol is by far the most widely employable. It contains the principal protocols that are used by the internet. By learning to program for TCP/IP, you'll be learning how to potentially communicate with just about every device that is connected to this great tangle of network cables and electromagnetic waves.

The following topics will be covered in this part:

· An introduction to TCP/IP networking

· Protocol concepts and the problems that protocols solve

· Addressing

· Creating RESTful web applications and working with flask and HTTP requests

In this part, we will be looking at some concepts and methods related to networks and network programming in Python, which we'll be using throughout this course.

This part has two sections. The first section, an introduction to TCP/IP networking, offers an introduction to essential networking concepts, with a strong focus on the TCP/IP stack. We'll be looking at what comprises a network, how the IP allows data transfer across and between networks, and how TCP/IP provides us with services that help us to develop network applications. This section is intended to provide a grounding in these essential areas and to act as a point of reference for them. If you're already comfortable with concepts such as IP addresses, routing, TCP and User Datagram Protocol (UDP), and protocol stack layers, then you may wish to skip to the second section, Python network programming through libraries.

In the second part, we'll look at the way in which network programming is approached with Python. This part provides a review of basic network elements and principles, as well as a discussion of how Python supports network programming with an overview of key libraries. Finally, we will introduce you to Wireshark, a protocol exploration and network programming diagnostic tool. We will also look at how we can interact with Wireshark from Python with the pyshark module.

Programming for the Web with HTTP

In this part, you will learn how to use Python as an HTTP client to make requests and retrieve web resources. You will be encouraged to try a series of example requests. We will compare urllib and the third-party requests library and show you the differences when working with forms and cookies. The third-party Requests package is a very popular alternative to urllib. It has an elegant interface and a powerful feature set, and it is a great tool for streamlining HTTP workflows. We also cover HTTP authentication mechanisms and how we can manage them with the Requests module.

The following topics will be covered in this part:

· Understanding the urllib package to query a REST API

· Understanding the Requests package to query a REST API

· Handling forms with urllib and requests with Python 3

· Handling cookies with urllib and requests with Python 3

· Handling HTTPS and HTTP Basic Authentication with requests

The urllib package is the recommended Python standard library package for HTTP tasks. The standard library also has a low-level module called HTTP. Although this offers access to almost all aspects of the protocol, it has not been designed for everyday use. The urllib package has a simpler interface, and it

deals with everything that we are going to cover in this part. The third-party Requests package is a very popular alternative to urllib. It has an elegant interface and a powerful feature set, and it is a great tool for streamlining HTTP workflows.

Application Programming Interface in Action

When we talk about APIs in relation to Python, we usually refer to the classes and the functions that a module presents to us for interact action. In this part, we'll be talking about something different, that is, web APIs.

A web API is a type of API that you interact with through the HTTP protocol. Nowadays, many web services provide a set of HTTP calls, which are designed to be used programmatically by clients; they are meant to be used by machines rather than by humans. Through these interfaces, it's possible to automate interaction with the services and to perform tasks such as extracting data, configuring the service in some way, and uploading your own content to the service.

The following topics will be covered in this part:

· Introduction to REST APIs

· Introduction to JSON and the json module

· Interacting with a JSON hybrid-REST API (Twitter)

· Introduction to XML

· Working with XML and a full REST API (Amazon S3 bucket) with the Boto module

You will learn how to use Python to extract data from the major data formats found on the web: HTML, XML, and JSON. An example of pulling useful information from a downloaded web page will be used to illustrate HTML, while interactions with REST APIs will be used to guide you through the essentials of working with XML and JSON.

Web Scraping with BeautifulSoup and Scrapy

When we want to extract the content of a web page by automating the extraction of information, we often find that the website does not offer any API to obtain the data you need and it is necessary to resort to scraping techniques to recover data automatically. Some of the most powerful tools can be found in Python 3, among which we shall highlight BeautifulSoup and Scrapy. Scrapy is a framework written in Python for the extraction of data in an automated way that can be used for a wide range of applications, such as the processing of data mining.

The following topics will be covered in this part:

· Introduction to web scraping

· Extracting information from web pages and parsing HTML with BeautifulSoup

· Introduction to Scrapy components and architecture

· Scrapy as a framework for performing web crawling processes and data analysis

· Working with Scrapy in the cloud
