Why write another unit converter?

There are plenty of them out there. Well, I couldn't find one that worked quite the way I wanted. With ConvertAll, you can combine the units any way you want. If you want to convert from inches per decade, thats fine. Or from meter-pounds. Or from cubic nautical miles. The units don't have to make sense to anyone else.The base units for conversion may be either typed (with auto-completion) or selected from a list.

As a unit is typed, the unit list is automatically filtered to show only units with matching words.

In general, either a unit's full name or its abbreviation can be used.

Units may be combined with the "*" and "/" operators.

Units may be raised to powers (squared, cubed, etc.) with the "^" operator.

Units in the denominator may be grouped with parenthesis.

Units with non-linear scales, such as temperature, can also be converted.

Recently used unit combinations may be picked from a menu.

Numbers may be entered on either the "From" or the "To" units side, for conversions in both directions.

Basic mathematical expressions may be entered in place of numbers.

Options control the formatting of numerical results.

The unit data includes over 500 units.

The format of the unit data file makes it easy to add additional units.

Command line options are available to do conversions without the GUI.

The user interface and the unit data are available in English, French, German, Russian and Spanish.

New Features:

Added a separate base conversion dialog to convert between different base numbering systems. It converts from/to decimal, hexadecimal, octal and binary bases.

A GUI font selection button was added to the Options dialog. This allows larger fonts to be used for high resolution displays.

A new GUI color setting dialog was added to the Options dialog. It allows a dark theme to be selected, or colors can be selected individually.

Update the libraries used to build the Windows binaries to Python 3.8 and Qt/PyQt 5.14.

Bug Fixes:

Fixed a problem with the ConvertAll window being positioned off the screen after major changes in resolution when using external monitors.

Clarified the labels for several power-of-10 data units (KB, MB, etc.) to show as "SI standard" rather than "IEC standard".

GrandVJ XT - XTend your creativity!

GrandVJ XT is an "extended" version of GrandVJ 2 which adds expert features such as the Video Mapper extension, allowing projection mapping and advanced management of multiple displays. LEDMapper and DMX Merger

LEDMapper gets support to merge Art-Net input from a Lighting Console with its own pixel output. This allows to control more advanced fixtures like Moving Heads with pan & tilt for instance. It also brings enhanced support for DMX charts with constant values, channel gaps and any channel layout for the pixel mapping. Also opening LEDMapper and GrandVJ simultaneously have no restricting impact anymore even for ArtPoll and LED fixture discovery. The Kling-Net Mapper also newly supports creation of Draft Devices to prepare the layout of a show and position devices even without having those devices connected.

Quick and 64 Bits

Since all applications are now in 64 bits and Apple does not provide Quick in 64 bits, GrandVJ now uses FFmpeg to read all Quick codecs. There is no need anymore to install Quick on Windows. In the previous versions of GrandVJ, Quick was used to play ProRes encoded videos.

Led Mapper extension include

GrandVJ 2.6 currently includes the intuitive LED Mapper Extension, the flexible software solution from ArKaos to drive LED panels.The LED Mapper extension for GrandVJ allows mapping of the server's video output directly to any configuration of LED panels without the need of using expensive hardware to convert video signal (VGA or DVI) into Art-Net signal. The LEDMapper supports unicast to reduce the load on the network and so allows to drive many LED fixtures. The interface displays the pool of devices detected on the network to make it easy to assign IP address for the fixtures.

Kling-Net mapper

Your Kling-Net devices will be automatically recognized by the software, after which you can place them on the Canvas. By using Kling-Net, you can forget about Art-Net, DMX, nodes, addressing and everything else. It is all done for you.

Video Mapping and multiple outputs

GrandVJ XT can send layer or cells output to virtual "surfaces" in the VideoMapper extension. These surfaces can be scaled, deformed, and assigned to any physical output.
