Hard Disk Sentinel (HDSentinel) is a multi-OS SSD and HDD monitoring and analysis software. Its goal is to find, test, diagnose and repair hard disk drive problems, report and display SSD and HDD health, performance degradations and failures. Hard Disk Sentinel gives complete textual description, tips and displays/reports the most comprehensive information about the hard disks and solid state disks inside the computer and in external enclosures (USB hard disks / e-SATA hard disks). Many different alerts and report options are available to ensure maximum safety of your valuable data.

No need to use separate tools to verify internal hard disks, external hard disks, SSDs, hybrid disk drives (SSHD), disks in RAID arrays as these are all included in a single software. In addition, since version 4.71.7, Hard Disk Sentinel Pro detects and displays status and S.M.A.R.T. information about LTO tape drives and appropriate industrial (micro) SD cards too.

Hard Disk Sentinel monitors hard disk drive / HDD status including health, temperature and all S.M.A.R.T. (Self-Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting Technology) values for all hard disks. Also it measures the disk transfer speed in real time which can be used as a benchmark or to detect possible hard disk failures, performance degradations.

HDSentinel is the perfect data protection solution: it can be effectively used to prevent HDD failure and SSD / HDD data loss because it has the most sensitive disk health rating system which is extremely sensitive to disk problems. This way even a small HDD problem can't be missed. The Professional version has scheduled and automatic (on-problem) disk backup options to prevent data loss caused by not only failure but by malware or accidental delete also.

How does Hard Disk Sentinel work?
Hard Disk Sentinel runs in the background and verifies SSD / HDD health status by inspecting the SMART status of the disk(s). If an error is found or unexpected behaviour is detected, it warns the user about the current situation and also can perform appropriate actions (for example, start an automatic backup).

Usually, hard disk health status may slowly decline, from day to day. The SMART monitoring technology can predict HDD failure by examining the critical values of the disk drive. Compared to other software, Hard Disk Sentinel detects and reports every disk problem. It is much more sensitive to disk failures and can display better and more detailed information about hard disk expected life and the problems found (if any). This is a more sophisticated way to predict failures than the "traditional" method: checking S.M.A.R.T. attribute thresholds and values only. CleanMyPC is a new cleaning and maintenance utility for Windows from a software developer MacPaw Inc., which has already made a strike with its product CleanMyMac. CleanMyPC includes a suite of cleaning tools for Windows computers. The main cleaning component promises to remove gigabytes of files from a PC, and is backed up by five maintenance tools: Secure Erase, Complete Uninstall, Registry Maintenance, Autorun and Gadgets & Extensions Manager.

Features:

Scanning
* During a scan CleanMyPC analyzes your hard drive to find files which might be safely removed. They are split into four categories - "Caches & Logs", "Help Files", "Extra Languages" and "Trash & Junk". Let?s walk through them to explain what exactly is found.
Caches & Logs
* While Windows and applications run on your computer they usually store chunks of "prepared" data on the hard drive to expedite load. Those chunks are called "Cache files". However, sometimes these applications do not remove the files and while some apps come with built-in "cache control mechanisms", the majority of those (including the Windows itself) leave a significant amount of data sitting unneeded on your hard drive. CleanMyPC can identify those files and let you know which of them are safe to delete. Log files record the activity of Windows and applications and are usually used for informational purposes. Removing them will not affect the functionality of your applications but might recover you hard drive space.
Help Files
* Most applications (as well as Windows itself) come with help files which contain information about program functionality and workflow. You can safely remove help files for the applications that you already use freely. CleanMyPC allows you to selectively remove help files by clicking the corresponding "Help Files" section of the sidebar and checking only those you want removed.
Extra Languages
* Some applications also come with built-in language translations (for example Spanish, Russian or German). This only influences interface translations - you can still type text in any language within the app. Since you only want your application in one language you can safely remove the rest - gaining free space. CleanMyPC will scan your computer and find applications which have multiple language translations, offering you to remove extras. If needed, you can only check those application translations you want cleaned.
Trash and Junk
* In this section CleanMyPC scans for various files you can?t usually access on your own but still can remove. These are:
- "Restore points" (backup files created by Windows. The latest restore point will not be removed by CleanMyPC to ensure you can always recover your system).
- "Recycle Bin" folders located on all your hard drives.
- "Crash reports" - files created by applications and Windows when something crashes, application quits or a critical error occurs.
Additional Utilities
* In addition to cleaning and scanning features CleanMyPC comes with a set of built-in utilities which are aimed to help you keep your computer reliable, fast, clean and working like a new one.
Secure Erase
* When you simply remove files to and from Recycle Bin they can still be brought back by third party data recovery software. Yet sometimes you need to remove files for good - and this is where CleanMyPC?s "Secure Erase" will help you. Files and folders removed with "Secure Erase" cannot be recovered. This is achieved by rewriting files with zeroes ("zero-out") multiple times before permanently removing them from your hard drive.
Complete Uninstall
* Most applications you have on your computer come with a dedicated uninstaller which removes the application you decide to stop using from your system. However, some files (like application preferences, caches, data etc.) are not usually deleted along with the app and clutter your system occupying disk space and slowing your computer down. CleanMyPC?s "Complete Uninstall" feature will help you to remove applications without leaving a trace. To do so you need to follow the on-screen instructions to launch a factory uninstaller and after it finishes its job CleanMyPC will pick it up and proceed with removing unneeded leftovers.
Registry Cleanup
* The Windows registry is a database that stores configuration settings and options for Windows itself and for all installed applications. Since registry is simultaneously read and written by all the installed applications which can also include malware and spyware programs, it sometimes becomes cluttered or partially corrupted. This cannot be fixed manually (unless you have deep technical knowledge and experience) and we advise to let CleanMyPC?s registry maintenance utility to take care of your registry. To scan your computer?s registry for issues click "New Registry Scan" and wait for the scan to finish. CleanMyPC will find erroneous entries and offer you to fix them all at once or selectively.
Autorun
* While launching applications automatically with Windows is convenient some applications might do that without your knowledge and you might want to prevent them from automatically running. Removing applications from autorun manually is usually not convenient and sometimes beyond your control - Windows stores autorun data in several places and locating a specific application might be tricky. CleanMyPC collects all applications which start with Windows into one simple interface - simply hover any application and click the corresponding "Disable" button to prevent it from starting with Windows. You can re-enable it again in the same way.
Gadgets & Extensions Manager
* Windows (and some applications) install different Gadgets and Extensions onto your system. While some applications provide you with removal options, sometimes you don?t have such a possibility (which is especially habitual for default Windows gadgets and extensions). CleanMyPC lists all the extensions you can remove and allows you to remove all at once or only those you want to get rid of. This cannot be undone so please make sure you don?t remove gadgets or extensions you might need in the future.

Antiquity Music Electric Harpsichord KONTAKT | 2.76 Gb

Commonly known as the Baldwin electric harpsichord, the Baldwin Combo Harpsichord originated in the early 1960's under the umbrella of a short-lived harpsichord manufacturing firm called The Cannon Guild. Founded by the harpsichord builder Eric Herz, the firm supported an inventor named Caleb Warner, whose idea eventually became the Baldwin electric solid-body harpsichord. The design was soon sold to the Baldwin Piano Company, who manufactured it with the hope that the 1960s' surge in Baroque-influenced music would turn it into a success. However, only around 500 of these instruments were ultimately produced.

JUST BECAUSE
The Baldwin Combo Harpsichord has been used in numerous pop songs, most famously on the Beatles song "Because". An introduction to some of the sounds of the Baldwin electric harpsichord can be heard on Youtube. It is is equally at home in classical and pop music, though it has been used more often in the latter. However, the prospect of tuning the instrument kept many bands from using it. The Beach Boys toured with one, but they also brought a piano tuner to get it ready for every gig. Now that it's in digital form, hopefully the Baldwin harpsi sound will find its way back into more music.

HOW IT WORKS
This unique electro-mechanical instrument marries the modern pop timbre of the electric guitar with that of the classical harpsichord, creating a unique sound entirely its own. It features a solid aluminum body with a red formica soundboard, above which a 57-string array is amplified by two pairs of passive pickups. The resulting signal is balanced through a dual volume pedal system. The mellow middle pickup and the brighter bridge pickup each have a very pleasing timbre, and sound even better when mixed together. It also has a damper pedal, which allows the player to create an additional spectrum of sounds ranging from a muted guitar to a pizzicato violin.

ANTIQUITY MUSIC'S ELECTRIC HARPSICHORD
Antiquity Music has sold at least twenty Baldwin combo harpsichords over the years. We sampled the best-sounding one for our Electric Harpsichord virtual instrument. We revoiced and regulated the jacks so that the instrument would play exactly the way it did when it left the factory in the 1960's. Then we recorded every note with three damper settings, from an open string with no damping to heavy muting without bending the pitch. Both pickup sets were recorded simultaneously through a Great River MP-2NV DI and Mytek 8X192 converter.

Antiquity Music Shaker Chimes KONTAKT | 2 Gb

Perhaps the most unusual instrument ever created by the percussion company J.C. Deagan Inc., Shaker Chimes were invented by John Calhoun Deagan in 1900. Also known as Organ Chimes, they are one of the rarest Deagan instruments, with only a few dozen sets still known to exist. Deagan claimed his organ chimes to be "universally conceded as being the greatest novelty instrument ever invented." Indeed, they were popular among vaudeville musicians during the early 1900s, though they ultimately failed to create a significant market niche for themselves.

Although called a "novelty" instrument, Shaker Chimes can produce a wide range of beautiful and unique sounds. A single Shaker Chime consists of four bell metal tubes mounted in a frame. The chimes hang on a floor rack and are played by striking or shaking them by hand. Or they can rock back and forth via their own centripetal motion, creating lush harmonic soundscapes. Shaker Chimes are based on the Indonesian bamboo angklung, but the timbre is altogether different due to their bell-metal construction. Several performances with the instrument can be seen on Youtube.

With the aim of bringing this instrument's sounds to musicians everywhere, Antiquity Music created this high-quality sample library of the Shaker Chimes.

ANTIQUITY MUSIC'S SHAKER CHIMES
The Shaker Chimes recorded for this virtual instrument came from the estate of a vaudeville musician. With a 2.7-octave range, they are the third largest known set in the world and were a custom order from Deagan. The chimes were tuned to A=440 and can be played alongside other instruments in an ensemble or recording. We sampled every one of the 32 notes - over 30 times each - at the world-class studio The Village Recorder. The main microphones used to record these Shaker Chimes were a stereo pair of vintage Neumann M49s.

There are several techniques of playing Shaker Chimes, allowing for numerous sonic possibilities. Antiquity Music captured each of these techniques when sampling the chimes. These techniques include shaking the chime once, shaking the chime continuously, punching the chime and allowing it to rock back and forth, and lifting the chime and allowing it to rock back and forth.
