Microsoft PowerToys is a set of utilities for power users to tune and streamline their Windows experience for greater productivity. Inspired by the Windows 95 era PowerToys project, this reboot provides power users with ways to squeeze more efficiency out of the Windows 10 shell and customize it for individual workflows.

Microsoft revealed earlier this year that PowerToys were coming back to Windows 10. PowerToys used to be useful little utilities that would let you further customize Windows. Microsoft's first PowerToys for Windows 10 are now available.

• FancyZones
FancyZones is a window manager that makes it easy to create complex window layouts and quickly position windows into those layouts.

• File Explorer Add-ons (Preview Panes)
File Explorer add-ons right now are just limited to Preview Pane additions for File Explorer. Preview Pane is an existing feature in the File Explorer. To enable it, you just click the View tab in the ribbon and then click "Preview Pane".
PowerToys will now enable two types of files to be previewed: Markdown (.md) & SVG (.svg).

• Image Resizer
Image Resizer is a Windows Shell Extension for quickly resizing images. With a simple right click from File Explorer, resize one or many images instantly.

• Keyboard Manager
Keyboard Manager allows you to customize the keyboard to be more productive by remapping keys and creating your own keyboard shortcuts. This PowerToy requires Windows 10 Version 1903 (Build 18362) or newer.

• PowerRename
PowerRename is a Windows Shell Extension for advanced bulk renaming using search and replace or regular expressions. PowerRename allows simple search and replace or more advanced regular expression matching. While you type in the search and replace input fields, the preview area will show what the items will be renamed to. PowerRename then calls into the Windows Explorer file operations engine to perform the rename. This has the benefit of allowing the rename operation to be undone after PowerRename exits.

• PowerToys Run
PowerToys Run is a new toy in PowerToys that can help you search and launch your app instantly with a simple alt-space and start typing! It is open source and modular for additional plugins. Window Walker is now inside too! This PowerToy requires Windows 10 Version 1903 (Build 18362) or newer.

Use this tool to record audio from your computer's built-in microphone. To start a recording, just click Record Audio in the Toolbox. The blinking icon in the Task Bar lets you know that audio is recording. You can also record from an external microphone or change audio source to capture system audio in tool's preferences.To stop recording, click the tool's icon again in Toolbox. The audio file is saved to the Desktop. Clicking the icon again starts a new recording to be saved as a new file.
Record Area, Screen or Window
Use these tools to record video of a selected area, a window or the entire screen. While recording video, this tool also records audio from the computer's microphone. To stop recording, click the Record Area icon in the Dock. The video file appears on your Desktop.
Resize Image
Use this tool to resize images or convert them to a different format. Drag a source image (or several images at once) to the tool's window or to the tool's icon in the Dock, then specify the output dimensions and format in the tool's preferences.
Sleep Timer
Use "Sleep Timer" to count down from the specified time to zero and then either send computer to sleep or shut down. To begin the countdown, select an action, set the time and click Start. Even if you close this tool, the countdown will continue and the action will be performed when the timer reaches zero. In 1 minute before the planned action, you will receive an additional notification.
Switch Resolution
Use this tool to change the screen resolution and orientation on all displays connected to your computer.
System Monitor
Use this tool to check Mac system resources and their performance. Simply click the tool's icon in Parallels Toolbox and get all the details in one place.
Take Photo

Verify Checksum
Use this tool to calculate the checksum of a file and compare that checksum with the original checksum published by the file's creator. To generate a checksum, just select a file and algorithm. When comparing checksums, be sure to choose the right algorithm. You can choose between MD5, CRC32, SHA1/256/512.
Unarchive
Use this tool to unpack archives, including those not supported by the built-in system utility. For example, this tool can unpack archives formatted as 7z, RAR, RPM, XAR, and Z. When Parallels Toolbox is installed, double-clicking any of these types of files opens Unarchive and starts unpacking. You can also use the right-click menu in File Explorer to unpack archives. Unarchive also supports password-protected archives.
Window on top

Supported Image Formats
Perfectly Clear requires RGB-formatted images in either 8 or 16-bit color depth. Any image file that Photoshop or Lightroom can open and convert to this format may be used in Perfectly Clear. Monochrome and CMYK images must be converted to RGB before using Perfectly Clear. RAW files must be opened through Adobe Camera RAW and loaded into Photoshop to be accessible to Perfectly Clear.

Unreal instruments
Modus uses our latest research in collision modelling to connect acoustic elements together. Strings, plates, springs and rattles collide, literally, in algorithmic air to generate tones that resonate and react just like they would outside the virtual realm. These elements are combined in different ways to create three types of instruments.
Connected Strings
Each voice has up to four connected strings which can be plucked or act as resonators. The strings are connected by either rattles that give collision effects as the strings vibrate, or nonlinear springs. Physical parameters control the decay, mass and harmonic content along with individual semitone and fine tuning controls.
Strings connected to a Plate
This model has two strings connected to a plate using nonlinear connections that can either be rattles or springs. These strings are retuned on-the-fly to give 6 octaves of monophonic or duophonic sound. The plate can act as a soundboard by varying its decay, mass and fundamental frequency. These, along with the connection controls, can all be changed in real-time.
Driven Plates
A driver signal is used to excite the top plate, which is connected to the bottom plate with two nonlinear connections. This driver can be a polyphonic sawtooth or sine wave, or a multi-striking hit for percussive effects. There is also an option to use a single plate connected to ground.
