The Sigrity products development team is pleased to announce the availability of Sigrity and Systems Analysis 2021.1 HF1. The Sigrity products are basically divided into two categories: on the one hand the analysis of the power supply system (Power Integrity) and on the other hand the signal integrity considering the fluctuations of the current and voltage supply.

Before Cadece has taken Sigrity,the products were offered as stand alone solutions for the PCB layout software from Cadence, Mentor Graphics and Zuken. For Cadence users this technology has been combined into deeper integrated products and is now offered as scalable Allegro Sigrity solution. But the stand alone products still remain and are available for Allegro and OrCAD users, as well as SI and PI simulation solution for user of Mentor Graphics and Zuken. PLC functions - Newly separated!
New function definitions are now available for you in EPLAN Fluid, including "PLC box (Fluid)" or "PLC connection (Fluid)". This allows you to implement PLC components in fluid-power engineering.

Your Added Value:
- You can separately design PLC functions according to trade.
- The PLC devices designed in fluid-power engineering can be exchanged with configuration programs such as Siemens TIA Portal.
- This means that the exchange between trades functions perfectly, even in mixed projects.

EPLAN Platform
- If a macro which was generated as a protected group was copied and pasted on a schematic page, an unexpected error message occurred. This has been corrected.
- If placeholder texts with specific formatted properties were used in the forms, no values were displayed for the placeholder texts after the reporting. This has been corrected.
- During the output of labeling data for the report type "Summarized parts list" no data was output for a terminal marked on a project page. This has been corrected.
- In the browser window of the EPLAN Data Portal, the shortcut keys for copying and inserting/pasting ([Ctrl] + [C] and [Ctrl] + [V]) only functioned unreliably. This has been corrected.
- If a multiple selection was made in the graphical editor and the popup menu item Synchronize selection was selected, problems could occur when the message management was open. This has been corrected.
- Under certain conditions no part selection could be executed in the placeholder objects for variables which are assigned to part numbers. This has been corrected.
- During a PDF export of a project page with the setting "Archiving format PDF/A" images that were located in the project directory were not included in exporting. This has been corrected.
- The Chromium component "CefSharp" has been updated to the current version 86.0.241. This component is used for the display of contents in the browser windows of the EPLAN platform (for example EPLAN Data Portal, EPLAN Cogineer, etc.)
EPLAN Fluid
- The check run 024018 was displayed for a connection with the "Function overview (fluid power)" representation type, even though a corresponding connection with the representation type "Multi-line" existed in the project. This has been corrected.

Line of Sight Error Calculations Use Central Difference
The line-of-sight error calculations now use a central difference formulation instead of the prior forward difference calculations. This change was made when it was found that such formulation is required for consecutive surfaces with compound angle orientations with respect to each other.
Support of Base Refractive Index for User Defined Gradient Thermo-Optic Results for Code V
The macro file used for importing thermo-optic results in the form of user defined gradient index results now includes commands to build the private library using the base indices before the gradient indices are applied. This allows consistency with nominal model indices set for environment conditions or private libraries.
Change in RoC Written as Change or Update in Optical Macro Files

Error Fixes

Wavefront Error Prediction with Code V Models and Subtraction of Change in Radius of Curvature Corrected
An issue was found with the use of wavefront error prediction in SigFit by linking with Code V models in the System module of SigFit and subtraction of change in radius of curvature and has been corrected. Note that subtraction of change in radius of curvature is not the default setting. Note this feature is not related to computing wavefront error in Code V by importing a macro file written by SigFit.
Part Coordinate System Numbering Fixed for Use with SolidWorks Simulation
Possible numbering conflicts could occur when using offset apertures with SolidWorks Simulation. The internal numbering method of part coordinate systems could conflict with the internal numbering of offset systems and has been corrected. Error would results in analysis error with no results generated.
PSD Table Specification Not Needed for WFE Prediction in Harmonic Analysis
An error required the specification of a PSD table in order for WFE predictions to be used with harmonic analysis. This error has been corrected. Error would results in analysis error with no results generated

SigFitallows users to perform opto-mechanical analyses on finite element results such as surface deformations, lens temperatures, and lens stresses. Such results are used within SigFit to compute optical performance metrics such as characterizations of deformed optical surfaces, maps of optical path difference (OPD) due to the thermo-optic and stress-optic effects in lenses, maps of birefringence and crystal axis orientation due to stresses in lenses. These optical performance metrics can be formatted into files readable by many popular optical analysis codes allowing engineers to understand the effects on optical performance due to mechanical disturbances.

SigFit has many other features as well including simulation of adaptive control, variational analysis using Monte Carlo methods, and calculation of dynamic responses wavefront error (with link to optical analysis software) and line-of-sight error.

Installation Requirements
Installation of SigFit requires administrator permissions.

SigFit requires installation of Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable SP1 with the latest security updates, Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable SP1 with the latest security updates, and Microsoft Visual C++ 2012 Redistributable Update 4. The installer will install these redistributables automatically if the specific versions are not already installed.

SigFit has been tested on the following platforms:
Microsoft Windows 10 on Intel x86_64

Be sure that "Beta: Use Unicode UTF-8 for worldwide language support" is not checked. Some machines have been found to ship with this option checked. Checking this box results in a segmentation fault in a library call from wxPython to a Windowslibrary when VSigFit is started.

Trimble introduced the last version of Tekla software for advanced Building Information Modeling (BIM) - Tekla Structures 2020 SP7. In addition to fixes, this update delivers useful improvements: changes in sharing pour units, better coverage for texts in PDF reference models, new control for forcing IFC object category in IFC2x3 export, updated material appearances in Trimble Connect Visualizer, and improvements in concrete components.

Changes in sharing pour units
The default value of the advanced option XS_CALCULATE_POUR_UNITS_ON_SHARING has been changed to FALSE. This means that Tekla Structures no longer automatically calculates and updates the pour units in shared models during writing out and reading in. Instead, each user can now run the Calculate pour units command in their local version of the shared model when they need up-to-date pour unit information.TTSD-42956

Texts in PDF reference models
PDF reference models now have better coverage for texts. TTSD-43317

New control for forcing IFC object category in IFC2x3 export
The IFC2X3 export does not export steel secondary objects as IfcDiscreteAccessory from now on. You can force previous categorization by setting the new advanced option
XS_IFC2X3_EXPORT_SECONDARY_AS_DISCRETEACCESSORY to TRUE in an .ini file, for example, teklastructures.ini.TTSD-5900
