Analysing log files with a text editor takes a lot of time and patience. LogViewPlus does a better job because it parses your log files and understands the data. This gives you filtering and navigation options beyond those available in a typical text editor.

Quick Filters
Filtering your log files is better than searching because filters can be chained. For example, you can narrow your log file down to a particular thread and then search just within that thread. As new records are read from the log file, the filter will automatically be applied. This is similar to how tail and grep work, but for windows.

Combine Log Files
With LogViewPlus, you can open as many log files as you need and press a button to combine them. Merged log file entries are automatically sorted by date so the information appears to be written by a single process. Merging log files can give you greater insight into how multiple processes are interacting with each other.

Easy Navigation
LogViewPlus has several features to help you quickly find what you are looking for, including a Navigation Bar on the far right of the application which shows errors and warnings and allows one click scrolling.
There are also navigation options when filtering. For example, you can double-click a log entry and go to the root log file. All navigation options maintain the currently selected row, so you can stay focused on what is important.
You can also set a bookmark and add a few notes. Bookmarks allow you to freely navigate through a log file knowing you can easily return to a particular log entry.

Tail in Windows done right!
When you are analysing log files, you often need to read from the file in near real-time. LogViewPlus processes real-time updates through functionality similar to the Unix 'tail' command which tracks log entries as they are written to the log file. This means you immediately see the new log entries in your log viewer. No need to mess around with a refresh button - everything happens automatically. Tail log files in windows like a pro. No command line required.

You are a techie - of course you love statistics. We do too. That's why we put statistics for your log file right on the main window. As soon as you open a log file you can quickly start to get a feel for what it is telling you.
Want to go deeper? Detailed graphs and statistics can be generated for both the entire log file and the current filter. You can view log entry distribution over time or graph data from a particular data column. LogViewPlus is kind of like Excel for log files.

Large File Support
Struggling with 4GB log files in notepad?
LogViewPlus loves large log files and can open a 500 MB log file in about 30 seconds (depending on your hardware). Opening larger files is constrained only by the amount of memory you have on your machine.
But LogViewPlus can also do something a bit smarter. It can divide the file into chunks and let you decide which chunk you are interested in. Chunk sizes are set at 10 MB, 25 MB, 50 MB and 100 MB so you can decide how much data you need. You can open multiple chunks and consolidate if needed.

Tail Log Files from Anywhere
In a networked world the log files you want to access probably do not exist on your local machine. Forming the models core on extensive mathematical research and then calibrating the results against detailed measurements made of an EMT140 and EMT240.

With Plate we simulate every component of the sound: dimensions, material, input/output positioning, modulation and decay sculpting while staying within the general sonic territory allowed by physics. In doing so we're able to create a near-endless array of authentic plate reverb sound.

Start with models of your favorite units and quickly change their physical attributes; adjust the type of metal to dramatically alter the decay; adjust the plate size and manually position the i/o to effect the transient shapes from metallic 'chirped' sounds to full and even bodied reverbs; adjust anisotropy to detune the sound; apply tension to alter the frequency response; modify the physical dampener, mechanical friction, air radiation and octave-band decay to perfectly sculpt your reverb; boost your signal with a preamp saturation stage, add predelay, and then easily tame problem frequencies and position your sound with octave-band and lowcut filters. Adventurous users can dive straight-in and create any number of unique reverb configurations from scratch, yielding exceptional creative potential for sound designers.

PI is an innovative, multi-channel phase interactions mixer plug-in engine for Mac and PC.
Good phase relationships are key to a great sounding mix. When tracks are summed into a stereo mix bus, instruments tend to overlap and interact with each other across the frequency range and phase position. A bass track could be temporarily out of phase with the kick or rhythm guitar tracks, and when summed together the two instruments would cancel each other out over the overlapping frequency range, causing a temporary "hole" in the low end. Similarly, a snare track could end up sounding thin in a mix when the toms' resonance is out of phase with the snare.
