Comprised of ten altos and ten sopranos, all part of many choir recording sessions for artists like Two Steps from Hell, and recorded in the Sofia Session Studio FREYJA sets a new standard in choral sampling introducing the brandnew agile legato sampling technique allowing the user to seamlessly play polyphonic legato with every syllable in the library.

Revolutionary Agile Legato
Although there are many reasons FREYJA justifies to be called a next-gen library the biggest of them all is the brandnew Agile Legato. Uncountable hours of work went into creating this brandnew technique of combining true legato sampling with our Syllabuilding approach. Agile Legato not only allows the user to play legato with every syllable availabe in the library, but also features intelligent voice leading enabling polyphonic writing within just one patch. In other words: Hold down a chord in the left, play a melody with your right hand and have it all connected with legato transitions. This powerful feature is controllable by the most common of all midi cc controllers, the sustain pedal.

In addition to the Agile Legato FREYJA also features polyphonic true legato patches (Ah, Mm and MmAh) for both altos and sopranos with two different legato speeds, which gives you tons of flexibility when it comes to writing legato lines.

CYCLES is an innovative and powerful loop manipulation and granular synthesis environment. Through a variety of idiosyncratic and interactive processes pull apart and reconstruct audio instantly into an endless myriad of collaged loops, performable textures, modulating rhythms, generative sequences and playable pads.

REIMAGINE SOUND WITH LOOPS + GRAINS
The LOOPS engine is an audio looper, splicer and synthesiser. Audio is manipulated using an interactive visual timeline that slices the loops into rhythmic segments and re-collages them to create new and irregular formations. Playback parameters facilitate detailed loop manipulation whilst parameter modulation and slice randomisation can create further rhythmic evolution.

The GRAINS engine operates at the micro level, deconstructing the loops into tiny fragments and then rebuilding them into diffuse and amorphous clouds of texture. Grains of variable size, shape, pitch, volume, pan and direction interact to create a multitude of generative soundscapes and gestural movements, with physically simulated modulation introducing natural repetition by animating parameters in cyclical patterns.

AURAS is an exploration of the realm of musical sound that is formless or indefinable in nature. These sonic sculptures can be shaped and controlled using MIDI keyboards and controllers, including MPE (Midi Polyphonic Expression) technology such as the ROLI Seaboard or Haken Continuum, which have the ability to mould the sound per note whilst playing.

As well as exploring the curated sound world of the AURAS patches, new sonic landscapes can be created and customised using the COLOURS environment. Simple assignment of sound shaping parameters to any MIDI sliders, knobs or controllers makes designing completely unique performable textures easy and quick.

SOUND DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
The sound world of AURAS focuses primarily on abstract and impressionistic textures and rhythms. It is influenced by the styles of composers and artists who blur the boundaries between sound design, orchestration and music. John Luther Adams, Ben Frost, Ingram Marshall, Tim Hecker, Ian William Craig, Machinedrum and William Basinski were all reference points for a library that explores the manipulation of sound as if it were an energetic field or aura of sonic texture that constantly shifts in shape and colour.

Deeply programmed MIDI control enables this concept to be played with intuitively and expressively. Unlike the way a regular sample library gives a strictly defined and static snapshot of a sound, AURAS allows the shapes and forms of each sound to be played with in a dynamic and unique way.

A wide variety of sounds were recorded as material for the sound design, with an emphasis on capturing performance and movement rather than a vast array of multi-sampled notes. Strings, synths, winds, field recordings, percussion and more were used as source material that was processed using a number of techniques and effects to create a sonic landscape that ranges from soft and fragile to complete chaos.

File reports. In addition to database reports, Reportizer can build and print file reports. In this case, Reportizer use Windows file system as a database, where folders are tables, and files are table items. Using such a feature, you can print list of files from specified folder(s) (with their icons, dates etc.).

Command line support. There is an ability to load and print reports from command line with large set of options.

Ability to export reports. Reports can be exported to PNG, JPEG, GIF, BMP, or STT (static reports) formats. Export to HTML, XLS, TXT is also possible, but with some limitations due to the nature of these formats.

A lightweight client-side utility. There is a small read-only utility Reportizer Viewer, which can be used on the client side.
