The Martinic Colorsound Tremolo AU/VST plugin, tested and authorized by Macaris, recreates the famous Colorsound Tremolo effect pedal used by Green Day, Joe Bonamassa, and Phil Manzanera among other well known guitar players.
Includes recreations of both the 1974 and 1996 version of the original pedal.
History
In the 70's, brothers Larry and Joe Macari of Sola Sound developed the Colorsound Tremolo, modeled after the tremolo of a VOX® AC30 tube amp, using only 4 transistors. You can read more about the history of the Colorsound Tremolo here.

Tube is a small software utility designed to help users grab their favorite video files from YouTube in the easiest way possible. Aesthetically, it is not very impressive as it sports a simplistic interface and only a few options for downloading videos. This is a simple-to-use tool built specifically with a single goal in mind: to grab video files from YouTube, so it doesn't pack other useful features such as a built-in search engine and audio files downloader.
introduced the YouTube link in the main window. MassTube can work with multiple output formats and the video files can be exported to FLV, MP4, WebM and 3GP.
It integrates a history manager that shows all the videos you have downloaded from YouTube. The history can be cleaned, imported or exported.
Furthermore, at the end of the downloading process the app is able to open the clips with default Windows applications. It is also possible to select other programs for opening the videos.
The app works fast and no errors showed up during our testing.
Overall, Mass Tube is a small but efficient software solution for downloading clips on the go. Although it isn't the most powerful tool in its category, it packs basic features that can help you grab your favorite video files easily and it's also light on your system resources.

Working with video files, especially editing them, is a task that requires a specialized application that can provide all the tools one needs. Among the software applications of this kind you can find VideoPad Video Editor. The interface of this utility is divided into several parts (e.g. Media List, Effects, Transitions, Files, Clips, Video Track, Audio Track, Overlay Track), which may make everything seem a little hard to operate. You can capture video from a camcorder or another device like a webcam or a TV capture card, and once you have added files and sequence clips to the queue, you can start editing them.
So, you can select position for the new clip (at slider's position, to the timeline's start or end point), add blank slides and overlays, modify media in an external editor, change playback speed and stabilize video with the Deshaker filter.
You can also create bookmarks and subtitles, import and export subtitles, select Chrome Key color, save video in the "Stereoscopic 3D" output format, apply audio effects (e.g. amplify, chorus, compressor, distortion, flanger, reverb), as well as record a narration.
Furthermore, you can apply various video effects (e.g. brightness, crop, edge detection, sepia, temperature, posterize, hue) and transitions (e.g. cross fade, reveal, split, fan, circle, diamond).
The program comes with a well-drawn help file and video tutorials while the system resource usage is moderate. It may lag sometimes between commands, but overall, VideoPad Video Editor manages to put up a good performance.

nVFlash provides you with the necessary means to flash (upgrade or downgrade) the BIOS of your NVIDIA adapter in a matter of seconds. Before you do this, make sure you have a legit BIOS for your video card alongside the required know-how.
Create a backup for enhanced safety
As nVFlash only runs in DOS, you also need a diskette or CD to boot from in this particular environment. First thing you want to do once you booted the DOS is performing a backup of the current BIOS of your graphics card. This can easily be accomplished with the 'nvflash -b' command.
Proceed with caution each step of the way
Flashing the VGA BIOS does not require much time and you must be aware of any error the may occur during the process. When confronting with an error, it is highly recommended that you do not restart the PC, as this usually bricks the graphics card (makes it unusable). Just use the backup you performed prior to this operation before attempting to flash your card with a new BIOS.
Support for multiple connected video cards
nVFlash also features commands for comparing and verifying firmware, writing and removing protections or listing versions, adapters and even applied patches. One more important addition is the '--index' argument that you can use if your system comprises several video cards. The effect is a classic algorithmic reverb with the full range of knobs you'd expect, which means you can easily dial in some initial size or position it at the end of a chain to maximize lushness.
CONVOLUTION
As well as an algorithmic reverb, Spacer also has a Convolution module with 110 Impulse Responses to choose from, captured via a mixture of recording and synthesis. Select from three distinct categories: Hall for large spaces, Room for smaller spaces and Synthetic for unique and creative spaces.
GRAIN REVERB
Combining Spacer's powerful granular engine with an expansive reverb, Grain Reverb is your go-to creative effect module for building rich textural ambience. The individual grains of your processed sound are each given their own reverb treatment, which in turn creates a multitude of reflections that interact with one another, producing an immersive layered effect.
DELAY
The first of Spacer's time-based effects is the Delay module, which is an essential stop-off if you want easily configurable signal repeats. Develop your sound across the full width of the stereo field, either syncing the feedback signal to the beat or opting for a more free flowing approach using milliseconds.
GRAIN DELAY
Spacer's second granular effect module is Grain Delay, where you can break down your signal and cast it out into the void, receiving a host of otherworldly reverberations in return. Alongside standard delay controls, the module's granular parameters allow fine control over the size and behaviour of the grains, while pitch-shifting functionality is also provided (powered by Zynaptiq ZTX LE).
UTILITIES/CHORUS MODULE
The Utlities section is a two-page module that contains additional tone-shaping controls and a powerful multivoice chorus. Boost high-end shine with Air or front up your signal with a mid-range Presence adjustment, get a vintage, aged feel with Saturation, and spread out into the stereo field with Dimension and Haas effect parameters.
Modular
Spacer has five effects modules which can be linked in any order to generate infinite FX combinations, but are also designed to work as independent processing stations in their own right. Send your signal into orbit using algorithmic, convolution and granular reverb, and simple and granular delay, to create dreamlike overtones, shifting soundscapes or contemporary ambiences.

What is Ambisonics?
Ambisonics is a spatial audio format that has been around since the 1970s. Since then, its popularity has risen and fallen a few times but is undergoing a resurgence with the emergence of virtual reality (VR). In fact, Ambisonics is now used by some of the biggest video platforms on the internet: YouTube and Facebook!
How does Ambisonics work?
Ambisonics works in three steps: encoding, processing and decoding. The encoding stage takes your mono or stereo track and converts (using a plugin such as the aXPanner) it to B-format - a multichannel format where the gain and polarity relationship between the channels is determined by the source position (azimuth and elevation). B-format is independent of the playback stage and can't be listened to directly. First order Ambisonics (FOA) has 4 channels: W (omnidirectional), X, Y and Z (along the Cartesian axes).
The processing step is where you manipulate your sound sources, either individually or as a group. This manipulation can include dynamic range compression, EQ-ing, adding effects such as delay, etc. You can also rotate everything at the same time. Of course, the B-format signals have to be treated carefully to avoid destroying the spatial information. The aX Plugins were designed specifically with this in mind.
The decoding step converts from B-format to loudspeaker or headphone signals. Decoding for headphones (currently the most convenient and common listening method) is via Head Related Transfer Functions (HRTFs). These mimic the acoustic characteristics of the head and ears. This is known as binaural decoding and is available in the aXMonitor series. The aim of this sort of decoder is to create a scene that sounds realistic, not "inside the head" like normal stereo over headphones. Perfect for immersive VR! Decoding to loudspeakers requires you to have quite a lot of loudspeakers in (ideally) a sphere around the listening area and is an amazing (but expensive) sonic experience.
What Is Higher Order Ambisonics?
Higher Order Ambisonics (HOA) extends the number of B-format channels thus increasing the spatial resolution of the sound scene. The Ambisonics order can theoretically go to infinity, but in practice DAW plugins are limited to seventh order (64 channels).
HOA signals of a particular order contain all of the same channels required for any lower-order subset. For example, a third order signal contains the first and second order channels as if you had encoded directly to that order. Just drop the channels at the end corresponding to the higher order components and you've down-mixed to lower order. Easy!
What this means it is always best to mix in the highest order available (and that your CPU can handle) even if it is above the current requirements for the project. Why? Because you will have the lower order signals needed but you will also be able to go back and get the higher spatial-resolution signals if/when the decoding requirements improve. It is the best way to future-proof your Ambisonics work!
Why use (Higher Order) Ambisonics for VR?
(Higher Order) Ambisonics is a scene-based technique which means that it is possibly to apply processing to the whole scene efficiently. For example, your final mix will probably have dozens of sound sources that you want to respond to movements made by the end-user. Ambisonics lets you rotate the sound field as a whole, rather than having to do this for each individual source in your scene.
Ambisonics is currently used for spatialisation in YouTube 360 and Facebook360. It is also available in the upcoming version 3.0 of VLC Media Player. These offer massive possibility for bringing your VR content to a large audience. Since audio is key to a users immersion in a VR scene it is worth learning how to use Ambisonics. To help you, I have put together a short tutorial here.
