Etcher is an application that allows you to burn OS images to SDcards and removable drives as directly as possible and hence, helps you avoid having to deal with sophisticated procedures. Sleek and user-friendly interface

GPT fdisk is a disk partitioning tool similar to Linux fdisk but used for modifying GUID Partition Table (GPT) disks.

The related FixParts utility fixes some common problems on Master Boot Record (MBR) disks. GPT fdisk (consisting of the gdisk, cgdisk, sgdisk, and fixparts programs) is a set of text-mode partitioning tools for Linux, FreeBSD, Mac OS X, and Windows. The gdisk, cgdisk, and sgdisk programs work on Globally Unique Identifier (GUID) Partition Table (GPT) disks, rather than on the older (and once more common) Master Boot Record (MBR) partition tables. The fixparts program repairs certain types of damage to MBR disks and enables chag partition types from primary to logical and vice-versa.

- Apple no longer supports building i386 or "fat" binaries in XCode (or if

macOS binaries are now x86-64 only. Similarly, building now seems to

require macOS 10.9 or later, so that's now the minimum macOS version. I've

also re-built my Mac build environment and tweaked Makefile.mac

appropriately.

- Partition type name searches are now case-insensitive.

- It's now possible to quit out of partition type name searches by typing

"q".

- When chag a partition type code, the default is now the current

type code, not a platform-specific type code.

- The UEFI GPT fdisk project

2016, and is now broken; binaries don't compile with modern GCC

toolchains, and even when dropping back to Ubuntu 14.04, which worked for

UEFI GPT fdisk is fixed.

ETHEREAL EARTH

Hybrid organic/electronic instrument that takes myriad acoustic instruments from around the world, and combines it with digital synthesis, organic foley layers, and effects processing. CREATOR TOOLS

Creator Tools is a standalone application designed to improve the workflows of library builders and instrument creators. It consists of three elements: A Debugger, for identifying and fixing problems in KONTAKT script; an Instrument Editor, which can load and run Lua scripts to automap samples, duplicate and batch rename groups, and copy settings from one part of an instrument to another; and a GUI Designer, which allows creators to assemble, customize, and reuse KONTAKT performance views and controls without the need to write code.

Nebulosity is designed to be a powerful, but simple to use capture and processing application for Windows (7/8/10 32/64 bit).

A huge array of cameras are supported for capture (see below) and images from just about anything can be processed (support for many FITS formats, PNG, TIFF, JPEG, DSLR RAW files, etc). * Earlier DIGIC I Canons (e.g. the 300D) are not supported. Also, for the DIGIC II cameras and even some DIGIC III cameras, Canon has declared them "unsupported" by their Software Development Kit. Most do continue to work, but it is not clear if this will change in the future and this does interact significantly with the OS you're using (e.g., many if not all DIGIC II's are not supported for capture on Windows 7/8 and others have issues in OS X 10.8.5 and higher). This is not something I can control and if you're considering purchasing, please the fully functional demo to ensure things work on your setup prior to purchasing.

Fragmentation Prevention with OptiWrite

PerfectDisk's new OptiWrite technology prevents most fragmentation on your drive before it occurs, which prevents your system from slowing down. OptiWrite detects when Windows is going to fragment files and intelligently redirects I/O to stop the fragmentation from occuring. System performance is maintained and the need to utilize CPU and Disk I/O resources to defragment files is greatly reduced. Because less defragmentation is needed, there is a direct benefit in the form of energy saved in both CPU usage and in the reading and writing to a disk. It saves users both in energy costs and in the required to defragment a file system.

Space Management

PerfectDisk's new Space Management recovers disk space by detecting and removing duplicate files such as text documents, pictures, music, and videos. Recycler purges the Recycle bin and removes temporary files so that your drive remains clutter free. With Space Reports you can view a graphical and statistical report of file usage and allocation.

Intelligent Disk Optimization

For the limited fragmentation that can still occur, PerfectDisk's patented SMARTPlacement optimization strategy optimizes disk drives according to your unique usage patterns. SMARTPlacement results in the most consolidated free space available, the elimination of most fragmentation before it occurs, and a reduced rate of fragmentation.

SSD Optimize is an optimization method for SSDs that focuses on free space consolidation without defragmentation of files. Solid State Drives are not affected by file fragmentation like traditional electromechanical disk drives. As such, it will leave files in a fragmented state while consolidating free space into large pieces.

Auto-Optimization for Complete Unattended Optimization

PerfectDisk's exclusive StealthPatrol tab is used to set automatic fragmentation prevention and optimize your system when it isn't busy. Auto-optimization affords you the flexibility to optimize your system when it is idle or when the Windows screensaver is active. Auto-optimization provides the flexibility to not run during certain periods of the day or when a user-defined application is running. No other defrag or optimization utility proves this level of flexibility.

Advanced Boot Defrag

An important factor in faster PC performance is a thorough boot defrag. PerfectDisk's advanced boot defrag capability is able to defragment files that otherwise would remain fragmented such as the Windows pagefile.sys or the file system's MFT (Master File Table) and provides the best boot defrag operation.

Total disk defragmentation and free space consolidation

PerfectDisk offers the most comprehensive solution for defragmentation by optimizing virtually every file on the system, including the Master File Table (MFT), all NTFS metadata files, paging files, directories, and datafiles, and completely consolidating free space. And it does it all in a single pass. There's also a Selected Files Defrag option that is useful for defragmenting very large files such as video files, rather than defragmenting the entire drive.

S.M.A.R.T. Monitoring

S.M.A.R.T. monitoring capabilities monitor the status of physical drives. It generates warnings and alerts for hardware performance and reliability, helping you ensure you are aware of any potential hardware problems.

PerfectDisk 14 offers the following new S.M.A.R.T. enhancements: Basic and Advanced modes, enhanced detection of S.M.A.R.T. drive failure prediction, enhanced detection/handling of S.M.A.R.T. enabled SSD drives, and S.M.A.R.T. alerts written to the PerfectDisk/Windows Application Event Log.

CPU and I/O - Control Resource Throttling

Perfectdisk provides resource throttling capabilities to manage resource usage as efficiently as possible. I/O throttling allows PerfectDisk to run on very busy disks without imposing additional load on the disk. CPU throttling allows you to raise or lower the CPU priority at which it runs. PerfectDisk uses very minimal CPU resources in its standard processing.
